It’s Okay To Not Be Okay Episode 34 Finale

Ingrid’s Cruelty Is Unleashed, Shattering Patrick’s World. Mia’s Journey of Healing Sparks New Hope.

Ingrid taunts Patrick, saying that his mother died because of Mia. We’re taken back to the past where Samuel had considered taking Mia to a camping trip so she could meet new people and make friends.

Ingrid strongly objected to it, saying that there’s nothing wrong with her daughter. Samuel then introduces Tessie to  her as their new housekeeper. Later, Ingrid observes with keen interest as Tessie relates well with her husband and her daughter as well.

After Samuel sends Mia inside, he gifts Tessie a fruit basket. Tessie thanks him and offers to bring her kids along so she’ll have playmates to play with. All this time, the witch Ingrid had been watching and she wasn’t the least bit happy.

Fast-forward to when Tessie was all by herself. She was confronted by Ingrid, who accused her of having an affair with her husband. Tessie denies it and tries in vain to convince her that she’s mistaken.

While Ingrid is threatening her and trying to make her confess, Matmat begins calling out as he approaches. Tessie desperately pleads for her not to hurt her son and Ingrid stãbs her in the neck, taunting her for meddling with her daughter and trying to steal her husband.

At present, Patrick is appalled to learn that Ingrid k!lled his mother because she tried to help. He attacks her and begins strangling her and she goads. Patrick however stops and Ingrid injects him as well.

Coming upon the scene, Mia curses at her mother, grabs the scissors on the floor and strikes. Patrick gets in her way and stops her, saying that she’s not a monster like her mother.

After he passes out, mother and daughter engage in a battle of words, with Mia insisting that she’ll never be anything like Ingrid. Ingrid tries to stäb Mia with the scissors and she fends her off while Vincent is on the way with the police.

Mia is almost inches from the top of the stairs, and as Ingrid applies pressure maniacally, Matmat’s momentary intervention saves her as he hits Ingrid with a book on the back of the head. Ingrid falls and tumbles down the stairs unconscious and Mia hugs Matmat.

It doesn’t take long for the place to be swarming with police and medics. Vincent and Dr. Anok scrutinize Ingrid as she’s being taken into an ambulance on a stretcher.

They can’t fathom why she would want to k!ll her own daughter and Ingrid gloats, saying that she’s not the only one. In the meantime, Mia stays by Patrick’s side until he regains consciousness and she apologizes for everything.

Patrick says it’s okay because they faced her mother together. Some time later, Mia visits Ingrid in prison, telling her that she’ll pay for everything she did. She used to hate butterflies because of her.

However, she’s learned that for some people, butterflies signify healing. As if on cue, Emman shows up, and Ingrid tears up as he asks if she’s still his mother nonetheless.

Mia arrives at Ok Hospital with the Gonzales brothers, and they’re met with a pleasant surprise from Dr. Anok; a camping van which is payment for Matmat’s finished drawing. Patrick gives Ms. Li a gift from Matmat which makes her emotional.

Without missing a beat, the trio proceed to go on their long waited trip together and they have fun and bond together. Some time later, Patrick and Mia are both taken by surprise to see Matmat with his luggage since their next plan is to go and see the waterfalls.

Matmat reminds them that it’s his first day of work just as Vincent pulls over nearby. Patrick and Mia want to go with him but Matmat insists that he’s the only one leaving; he says Patrick has worked for so long to provide for them and now, it’s his turn.

Patrick and Mia both get emotional as Matmat assures them that he’ll be alright, adding that his brother can finally be free to do what he wants in life. The brothers, together with Mia, have an emotional farewell before Vincent drives Matmat away.

Mia’s latest tale reads with memories from the past. On the phone, Matmat alerts Patrick about the allowance he sent him. Though grateful, Patrick states that it’s not necessary since he has a part-time job and Matmat urges him to focus on his studies so he’ll be able to graduate early and become a nurse.

Matmat then extends his greetings to Mia. Speaking of, Mia tells Dr. Anok that she’s been doing well this past month thanks to their sessions.

When the doctor asks about her temper, she retorts that everything is peachy, besides the desire to k!ll Patrick’s over friendly classmate who keeps texting him.  Dr. Anok admonishes her and Mia says he should chill out because it’s okay to not be okay. Dr. Anok couldn’t agree more.

Ultimately, Patrick finds Mia brooding by herself in the field and he offers her flowers, assuring her that there’s nothing to be jealous about. They share a ki$$ and after Patrick professes his løve for her, Mia merely smiles and walks away.

In disbelief, Patrick goes after her, reiterating that he loves her over and over again. Mia turns to face him, saying, “I løve you too, my safety pin.” Patrick smiles and ki$$es her and the show concludes as the couple run through the field.
