Brandon’s Dinner Date With His Family Ends On A Bad Note. Kim Goes Out Of Her Way To Take Care Of Her Boss.
The Liwanag sisters discuss the kidnapping Kim had fallen victim to alongside Ninja Boy. Kla notes that according to police blotter, there really was a second victim but his family had ordered for a media blackout in order to protect him from the press. Kim is glad to know that Ninja Boy wasn’t a figment of her own imagination.
At Prime Alpha, team Bida Best discusses the best candidate for speaker at the IdeaEx event. Kim takes inspiration from her favorite Morpheus book which Marie brings. She tries to tell BMC that she’s found a prospective speaker, but Brandon receives a phone call from his mother telling him that his brother is on his way to see him.
Brandon orders Sec. Kim to ensure that he won’t be bothered by Cyrus. Kim intercepts Cyrus at the lobby and makes deliberate attempts to prevent him from going inside. Cyrus sees through her and makes her a deal and slips her a business card of the journalist who had interviewed Morpheus.
He then heads inside to see his brother. Cyrus strives to convince Brandon to have dinner with the rest of the family. Carlota calls Kim on the phone and asks her for a favor – she urges her to convince Brandon to come home for the family dinner tomorrow. Kim is reluctant to meddle but eventually agrees to try her best.
Later, she meets up with Iñigo and makes him a proposition in exchange for the contact details of Morpheus. Kim Marie gushes over her fondness for Cyrus and Sarah shushes her and reveals that he and BMC aren’t on good terms. Kim sends Morpheus an email inviting him to be the speaker at the IdeaEx event.
Ironically, Cyrus turns out to be Morpheus and he smiles to himself as he reads the email. Sarah invites Roni to join her and the others for lunch but he declines, saying that he’s working towards promotion. Sarah jokes that her heart is open for promotion.
As Roni carries on, Kim Marie stares at his ass in wonder. Kim briefs Brandon about his agenda for the day and includes the dinner date with his family. Brandon argues that he hadn’t agreed to the dinner and Kim points out that his mother had insisted.
Upon receiving a notification on her phone, Kim gladly reveals that they now have a speaker for IdeaEx as Morpheus had agreed. With everything now set, BMC asks her to take the rest of the day off. When Kim arrives home, her father questions her for hiding the fact that she’s investigating the kidnapping case.
Kim apologizes and Felix says he’s ready to support and help her in any way he can. Brandon surprisingly shows up for family dinner and as they dine together, Cyrus brings up IdeaEx and it’s anonymous speaker.
After dinner, he asks Brandon personal questions about Sec. Kim and when he declares that she’s off limits, he asks if he likes her. One thing leads to another and Cyrus punches his brother and goads him to reciprocate.
Brandon grabs him but restrains himself. Coming upon the scene, Carlota reprimands him. Kim arrives at her place to find BMC waiting by his car with a busted lip. She asks what happened to him and he notes that he’s entering into his bad boy era.
Kim decides to take him inside to clean him up. As soon as she opens the door and sees the horrible mess that has been made of the place, she shoves her boss back and claims that she has a cockroach problem. BMC says he doesn’t mind but Kim slams the door in his face and quickly tidies up the room, ultimately hiding her bras under her stuffed toy in her bedroom. She then lets him inside.
Carlota has a talk with Cyrus about his conflicting ways of trying to patch things up with his brother. She takes solace in the fact that he’s trying at least. As Robert eavesdrops, Cyrus says his father hates him more than his brother but Carlota states that he loves them both.
In the meantime, Kim tends to Brandon’s busted lip. There’s a dramatic moment where they both stare at each other and eventually, Kim shoves her boss’ face away before they can get any closer. She decides to cook him some comfort food; bread-stacked noodles.
Brandon reluctantly tries the food and he lights up once he takes a bite. He then devours the rest as Kim looks on gladly. Brandon goes to use the restroom but then wanders into Kim’s bedroom. As he reaches for the stuffed toy on the bed, a horrified Kim quickly pulls him away and lands on top of him.
Brandon hugs her, saying that he’s going to love her from now on. Kim looks shocked for a moment before Brandon mentions that it’s her favorite line from her favorite Morpheus book. A moment later, Brandon thanks Kim for taking care of him before leaving.
Kla gives her sister an earful upon learning that she had entertained her boss in the house and had even cooked for him. Kim says she was just concerned about him but Kla thinks there’s something more to it.
In the meantime, Brandon indirectly seeks counsel from Philip in regards to Sec. Kim and he notes that when a woman takes care of a man and cooks for him, then she’s definitely in love with him. Brandon seems amused.
While Carlota has Robert help Cyrus in cleaning up Brandon’s blood, BMC surprises Kim by coming to pick her up from home. In her hurry, Kim slips and Brandon catches her before she falls. Eyes locked in a tender gaze, time seems to stand still as they stare into each other’s eyes. Read Next Episode on What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim Episode 6
