Matmat Reconciles With His Brother. Mia’s Determination To Win Matmat Over Finally Pays Off.
Patrick is smiling sheepishly as Jason attends to the bruises on his skin, pleased with himself that he finally fought. Matmat is also attended to by Gemma and her mother and he whines, saying that he doesn’t like Patrick anymore and he’s no longer his brother.
Later that night, Patrick receives a text from Mia telling him that he’s hungry. Patrick sits by his brother as he sleeps and recalls his talk with Jason regarding why he chose Mia of all people. In the meantime, Gemma has a talk with her mother about her time with Vincent.
She recounts how he had gone out of his way to make her forget the embarrassing drunken moment with his antics. Ms. Liwanag is all smiles as she notes that it’s a thing that she’s started opening her heart to someone else besides Patrick.
Mia sends Patrick a text message asking him out to dinner and she’s not the least bit happy to be left at “seen”. Upon hearing a knock at the door, she gets irritated and stalks out of her and room. On her way down the stairs, she grabs her umbrella as the knocks become more persistent.
Once she opens the door, she raises the umbrella to strike and the person holds it in midair. Mia smiles to herself once she realizes that it’s only Patrick. She asks what he’s doing there and he reminds her about her text.
A moment later, as they dine together at a restaurant, Mia notices a bruise on Patrick’s hand and figures that he fought with his brother again. She urges him to make things clear to his brother about their relationship and reconcile with him.
Patrick wonders how Matmat will react and Mia says he should stop worrying. Patrick reveals that he’s always had three dreams, two of which has already been fulfilled; travel and a normal fight with his brother.
Mia presses him for the third but Patrick states that there’s nothing she can do to fulfill it. Patrick approaches Mia and falters as he tries to talk to her. Matmat, who looks normal, comes over announcing the small sized briefs he bought for him.
Mia carries on to her table and Matmat drags Patrick over there to introduce him to her and urge him to make his move. After he excuses them, Mia entertains Patrick and he talks to her.
Matmat wakes up to see his brother murmuring (that he likes someone) and smiling to himself in his sleep, and he gets quite emotional since it’s the first time he’s seen him happy.
The next day, Vincent nags Mia for an update on her new book, only to learn that she doesn’t have anything solid. He notifies her about her father’s situation, turning Mia’s mood sour. Matmat calls Patrick on the phone to invite him to dinner after his shift is over.
Mia also calls to ask him out. Patrick reveals that he can’t because his brother already asked him out and Mia pleads to tag along. Jason whines to Ms. Li about Vincent getting ahead of him. He also wants to make his move so he urges her not to interfere anymore.
Ms. Li says there’s no point because she knows where things are headed. Patrick meets up with his brother at La Mensa restaurant and Matmat treats him to some food which he enjoys. When the waiter brings the bill, the brothers are shocked with it.
Matmat insists on paying but he’s certain the bill is wrong so he decides to go downstairs to talk to the manager. Ironically, it turns out that they had added Mia’s order to the bill. Upon seeing her, Matmat walks, refusing to cover her bill.
Patrick settles it while Mia hurries after Matmat, trying to reason with him. She calls out to him, saying that she wants an order brother like him. When Patrick comes upon the scene, Matmat calls for him to come so they can go home.
Surprisingly, he also calls for Mia and she gladly joins them. The Gonzales brothers move back into the mansion and as they sleep that night, something seems to hover around their rooms. Vincent is delighted to learn that a cellphone company wants to endorse Mia’s new book.
He asks Madeth to make the necessary preparations while he flies back to Manila to meet the client. Ms. Li is surprised to learn that Emma the client is Vincent’s ex.
While Patrick hangs around at Jason’s restaurant, some female tourists approach him and get all handsy with him, asking for recommendations of places to see. Jason takes a photo and he sends it to Mia with a taunting caption.
Irate, Mia storms the restaurant to confront the girls. Patrick holds her off while Jason dismisses them. Mia then drags Patrick away to talk to him about her inspiration for writing, and Patrick videos her.
Matmat arrives at Ok Hospital in such a good mood. He goes to see Dr. Anok for his therapy session but doesn’t make eye contact with him. The doctor reaffirms that he won’t pay him for his drawing unless he includes a butterfly to make it complete.
Matmat calls him a scammer, but the doctor says he just wants to help him overcome his fear. When Matmat states that his fear gets worse when he’s pressured, Dr. Anok points out that he needs to face it since it’s been affecting his brother as well. Once he overcomes his fear, he’ll have a fresh start not only at work but in life.
