The episode begins with Mia returning to her study all smiles. She commends herself for not giving in to “that woman” (Zelda) otherwise that ki$$ wouldn’t have happen. On his way out of the mansion, Patrick calls his brother on the phone to check up on him.
Nurse Olivia wheels Samuel and as she takes him for his checkup, she tells him that she’ll be waiting for him. Eden asks Gemma for updates on their patients and when the topic shifts to Zelda. Eden doesn’t think she’ll be coming back so she’ll have a talk with the doctor to clear her things to accommodate someone else.
As Patrick goes about his duties at the hospital, Cynthia makes note of how his face seems to be glowing and he plays it cool. In the meantime, Mia goes to Jason’s restaurant and she tells Matmat that she wants he and his brother to come back to the mansion.
Matmat turns a deaf ear and hurries and undeterred, Mia follows him to the employee area in spite of Jason’s interference. She offers to buy 50 orders so Jason lets her be. Mia shows Matmat the drawing he had made of the three characters in the camping car, saying that it had given her a concept to write on.
She urges him to come back with her so they can resume work. However, Matmat refuse to oblige, even as Mia threatens to sue him for breach of contract. Having gotten wind of Olivia’s plan to clear Zelda’s room for someone else, Eden confronts her and they get into an argument.
Eden taunts Olivia over her obsession with Samuel. A couple more choice words are exchanged, followed by slap exchanges that leads to a cat fight. The other staff hurry over to intervene and break up the fight.
While Dr. Anok asks Patrick if he knows the reason behind Zelda’s visit to Mia, Pogi comes running in to inform him of the ongoing trouble with his head nurses. Dr. Anok, having come upon the scene, calls both women to order.
Ironically, Mia refuses to give up as she comes up with another way to make Matmat do her bidding; she demands for him to pay her 100,000 to cover the expenses for he and his brother since he hadn’t made a single drawing for her book. Matmat laments that he doesn’t have that kind of money.
Eden reflects on Olivia’s obsession with Samuel, taking note of the connection she seems to have with him. She hopes she’ll keep getting careless so she’ll find out what she’s been hiding. Mia declares that it’s either Matmat pays him or comes back to work for her.
She gets pretty irritated as the guy refuses to do anything and even adds that he won’t let her have his brother. Mia whines to Patrick over how his brother had turned her down, and he mentions that it’s not easy to get on Matmat’s good side.
Apparently, it took Jason ten years for him to warm up to him. With the way things are going, it’ll take Mia five more years. Mia asks what she needs to do to speed up the process and Patrick says she should earn his brother’s trust and make him feel like he won’t lose a brother but gain a sister instead.
A moment later, Patrick stands alongside Dr. Anok as they both stare at Matmat’s painting and agree on the fact that he still can’t draw butterflies because they remind him of his mother’s death.
Patrick reveals that they had returned to Maravida because he believed that he’s the one to help his brother overcome his trauma.
Dr. Anok downplays the compliment, assuring Patrick that everything will turn out well. Upon arriving at the nurses station, Patrick learns that Samuel’s cancer has gotten worse and there’s nothing that can be done to save him.
Olivia is almost moved to tears as Eden gauges her reaction. In the meantime, Gemma meets with Vincent at a restaurant and they talk about Mia and Samuel before turning the conversation back to themselves.
Matmat counts his savings and laments that he won’t have any money left after he pays Mia. Patrick arrives as he whines about the encounter with Mia earlier. Speaking of, Mia demands for Madeth to leave with her luggage, thinking that it’s Vincent who send her over to keep an eye on her.
However, when Madeth reveals that Patrick was the one who asked her to come and take care of her, Mia gladly welcomes her and tells her to be at home. Mia brings up Zelda’s visit and asks if it’s weird that she just came to wish her on her birthday, and Madeth points out that it’s a normal thing in fangirling.
Eden and Patty find Zelda sitting on the floor, crying out over and over again that she doesn’t want to die yet. Dr. Anok arrives on the scene with his assistant and he asks the nurses to give Zelda something to calm her down.
A moment later, Matmat asks the doctor when he’s going to pay him since he’s almost done with the mural. Dr. Anok states that the job isn’t finished because he’s still not added any butterflies. Matmat says he doesn’t like butterflies but the doctor won’t hear any of it.
Later, Patrick finds his brother sulking and cursing at Dr. Anok, calling him a scammer. Upon arriving home, Patrick tries to reason with him but Matmat refuses to draw any butterflies. Patrick raises his voice at. Matmat says he shouldn’t be talking to his older brother like that.
Patrick then tells him to act like a proper older brother. As Matmat tries to sneak into his tent to hide, Patrick obstructs him. Matmat bites his hand and Patrick throws him to the floor. Matmat complains in pain and Patrick retorts that that’s how he feels whenever he hits him.
The brothers then begin throwing things at each other. Patrick is smiling sheepishly as Jason attends to the bruises on his skin, pleased with himself that he finally fought. Matmat is also attended to by Gemma and her mother and he whines, saying that he doesn’t like Patrick anymore and he’s no longer his brother.
Later that night, Patrick receives a text from Mia telling him that he’s hungry. Patrick sits by his brother as he sleeps and recalls his talk with Jason regarding why he chose Mia of all people.
