It’s Okay To Not Be Okay Episode 24

Following Zelda’s Calculating Stunt, Mia Receives A Pleasant Birthday Surprise. Dipong’s Vendetta Unravels.

Patrick is on his way out of the hospital when he finds Gemma trying to revive Pogi who had passed out on the floor. There lies an empty syringe near him. Pogi regains consciousness and recounts how Zelda had drugged him, telling him that it’s a special day for her.

Recalling Mia’s persistent messages, Patrick borrows Gemma’s car and hurries off. Meanwhile, Mia goes to open the door when she hears a knock, and who do we see? That’s right, Zelda, holding a beautiful lit cake.

Mia looks on dumbfounded as Zelda smiles and merely adds, “happy birthday, dear daughter”. Dipong witnesses the scene from the outside just as Mia lets Zelda inside.

Zelda puts the cake down and blows out the candle and Mia tells her that she’s not impressed and doesn’t believe that she’s really her mother, just one of those days die-hard fans. She asks her to leave but Zelda refuses to budge until they cut the cake and celebrate.

After staring for a while, Mia silently makes her way up the stairs into the kitchen. While Patrick is still driving, he calls Vincent to ask him about Mia and he reveals that she went back to the mansion.

Speaking of, Mia returns downstairs with a kñife but doesn’t find Zelda there. She tracks her to the study where she’s snooping around. She confronts her and demands for her to leave but Zelda turns a deaf ear and begins blabbering about the encounter with her father and how he had tried to k!ll her.

Mia couldn’t care less. When Zelda picks up that sleek pen from her table and pulls it out of it’s cover, Mia grabs the other hand to take it back and ends up getting cut on her hand. Zelda taunts her as blood drips from her palm.

In an interesting turn of events, Dipong shadows Zelda as she saunters along the street and he incapacitates her from behind. Patrick arrives at the mansion a while ago and he’s alarmed to see the blood drops on the floor.

He finds Mia and hugs her, asking if she’s okay and whether Zelda was there. Mia confirms so and assures him that she’s fine. Patrick then decides to leave to go in search of Zelda, and Mia laments over how he ignored her messages; she always comes second to his brother and his patients.

Patrick tries to convince her that it’s not so but Mia walks out on him and retreats to her bedroom. It’s revealed that when Zelda had taunted and provoked her, Mia had been able to hold back and not retaliate violently because of Patrick.

At present, Mia lies in her bed to sulk as Patrick comes over to talk things out with her. He offers to treat her wound and Mia scrutinizes him, saying that the words he said to her hurt more than the wound on her palm.

Ironically, Eden also celebrates her son’s birthday. Dr. Anok informs his staff about where Zelda went after a phone call from Patrick. The authorities have already been informed and they’ll be searching for her in the surrounding areas of Mia’s place.

Back to the mansion, Mia continues to act out and Patrick takes her by surprise by ki$$ing her. The stakes could never have been higher as Zelda is revealed to be tied up to a chair in a room somewhere.

Dipong hovers around her and takes off the blindfold and gag. Zelda demands to know who he is and what he wants, but Dipong gives her the silent treatment and merely begins examining her face. I bet he’s trying to figure out if she’s Ingrid or something.

Anyway, Patrick continues to make out with Mia on the bed. He hits pause for a moment to wish her happy birthday and Mia says it’s the best birthday gift ever. Upon noticing that Patrick has a fever, she urges him to take off his clothes so he can go and have a bath.

However, Patrick settles into the bed and pulls her to lie on him, saying that it’s all he needs to feel better. Jason comes to check up on Matmat and he tells him that he was waiting for his brother to eat with him but now, it won’t be possible since he said that there was an emergency at the hospital.

Jason tries in vain to get Matmat to share his food with him. Matmat doesn’t want to share anything because he fears everything will be taken away from him. Brandishing some pruning shears, Dipong confronts Zelda, believing that she’s really Ingrid whom he has a vendetta against.

Zelda desperately tries to convince him that she’s merely a fan and she went to the mansion in an attempt to read Ingrid’s last unpublished book. Dipong however advances at her with the makeshift weapon, ready to make her pay for what she did to him.

The next morning, Mia is all over Patrick, telling him that he can’t get sick again. Patrick assures him that he’s fine because her hugs made him feel better. He then states that they really need to talk. Vincent makes deliberate efforts to get his car smelling as good as before.

Gemma comes over and when she asks, he reveals that she had puked in the car the night he brought her home. Gemma then gives him some money to have it cleaned and Vincent urges her to have coffee with him to make it up to him.

Meanwhile, Patrick points out to Mia that he needs to prioritize Matmat because of his condition. Mia is taken by surprise as he reveals that Matmat had witnessed their mother’s mürder and had been traumatized by it.

Whenever he’s asked who k!lled Tessa, he always claims that it was a butterfly. His trauma resurfaces during the rainy season close to their mother’s death anniversary. Patrick notes that he can’t leave his brother’s side while he’s still carrying the trauma and Mia understands him.

Patrick then declares that they’re destined to be together. He asks her to be by his side while he’s by his brother’s side and Mia hugs him, promising to never leave his side.
