Patrick Reconciles With His Brother & Asks Gemma A Favor. Gemma Gets Entangled With Mia.
Madeth gets tired of knocking at the door of the mansion since Mia hasn’t opened up until now. She calls her boss to lament and Vincent urges her to persevere and make Mia let her inside. He reveals that it’s her birthday tomorrow so she shouldn’t be alone since it would remind her of her mother.
Madeth says it’s all the more reason for him to be there so she can plan some surprises for Mia. Vincent however charges him to take care of Mia because he has things to do. And by things I mean lying in wait for Gemma.
As if in on it, Miss Li informs her daughter about the mangoes order she had made and once Vincent offers to help go pick it up, she lobbies for him and Gemma gives in. At Ok hospital, Olivia decides to go and give Matmat a dinosaur toy to cheer him up.
She runs into Eden who scrutinizes her for meddling with just anyone. An aid comes over to ask Olivia for help. A moment later, Eden brings the toy to Matmat and he gladly accepts it and begins blabbering about his fondness for dinosaurs.
Eden asks if the toy is as nice as his mother and Matmat states that Tessie was always nice to him but sometimes, she wasn’t nice to Patrick. Speaking of, Ms. Li serves Patrick some food and urges him to dig in.
Though she has no idea what he’s been through, she believes that he’s a good person and she would be honored to have him as her son in her next life. Patrick replies, saying that he doesn’t want a next life.
Gemma arrives with Vincent at the market to pick up the order from her auntie. Since the woman hasn’t packaged the mangoes yet, she asks Vincent to take charge of attending to her customers while she does it.
Vincent gladly agrees and trades with the customers with flair, impressing Gemma’s aunt. After receiving the order from her auntie, Gemma seems smitten with Vincent in a moment. At Ok hospital, Ms. Li accompanies Matmat to the exit, talking to him about his new toy.
Patrick looks on and Gemma joins him, saying that it’s okay for him to put his needs first sometimes and that doesn’t make him selfish. Patrick asks her for a favor. Vincent gulps a glass of water after the “strenuous work” with Gemma and Madeth reprimands him for trying to show off.
Vincent asks about Mia and Madeth reveals that she had nagged her until noon when she opened the door to her. However, she had demanded to be left alone so Madeth did just that. Vincent is exasperated.
Meanwhile, Mia takes some selfies in her room, declaring that she and Patrick will end up together. She spams him with ridiculous messages without reply. A knock sounds at the door and Mia goes to open and ends up getting startled by Dipong who has an axe balanced across his shoulders.
She asks what he wants and Dipong points him to Gemma – she’s come to retrieve the belongings of Patrick and Matmat per the former’s request. Patrick arrives home with Matmat’s favorite food and Matmat goes to hide in his tenth when he notices him.
Patrick sits outside, apologizing profusely for neglecting him and wishing him dead before. As he breaks down, Matmat comes out to hug him.
After Gemma grabs some vital things, she calls out to Mia to tell her that she’ll be coming back for the rest of the stuff later but there’s no response.
Gemma drops the things in the trunk of the car and she’s taken by surprise to find Mia sitting in her car. Mia refuses to step down, saying that she’s hungry and wants some of the food her mother always makes.
After trying in vain to get rid of her, Gemma gives in but insists on driving. Eden expresses her disapproval over her son’s writing assignment. Though Emman says he put in his best, Eden brands it as garbage. Emman asks her to leave him to his style because he’s not her.
Ironically, Gemma grudgingly offers Mia some food and drink before gulping one she picks for herself. Mia asks if she’s not afraid of her anymore and Gemma states that she’s pissed and jealous of her, not scared.
Patrick assures Matmat that he’s his and no one will take him away from him again. Moving on from these irritating moments, Mia asks a drunk Gemma why she doesn’t like her and Gemma goes on about how she bullied him during their childhood and became an obstacle to being with the boy she likes.
Ironically, she asks Mia to let her slap her just once, twice for emphasis. Gemma can’t seem to understand why Patrick likes Mia and not her and Mia states that she (Gemma) is cute but she (Mia) is beautiful.
Without warning, Gemma slaps Mia without asking for any further permission. Pissed off, Mia tries to retaliate but her hand just hits the air as Gemma passes out right there and then. Mia curses at her and kicks her, hoping that the fall really hurt.
