It’s Okay To Not Be Okay Episode 18

Patrick’s Unexpected Heroism Comes At A Cost. Amidst Conflicted Hearts, Mia’s Good Mood Turns Sour & Deadly.

Patrick goes to pick up some bedsheets from one of the rooms and on his way out, he hears the sound of someone humming. Patrick tries in vain to pinpoint where it’s coming from. Olivia shows up at the mess hall to check up on Matmat, and Eden is annoyed with her incessant meddling.

She asks if her next plan is to take over the whole hospital. Olivia later attends to Samuel, telling him that they’ll never be apart again. Meanwhile, Jerome, Bella’s abusive ex boyfriend, visits and tries to take her away by force but she resists.

Bella slaps him when he passes an inappropriate comment and the guy angrily grabs her by the neck. Suddenly, Mia intervenes and faces off with the wretched guy and she gets slapped for her trouble.

As the guy tries to hit her again, Patrick shows up and begins beating him up. Mia stares in disbelief. The commotion draws the attention of the nurses and Matmat stops his brother with his drama.

Patrick leaves the wretched guy and goes to help Mia up her feet. He caresses her cheek, asking if she’s okay. As if in a trance, Mia stares back and drops a large rock she had been picked up all this time.

A moment later, Olivia and Eden lecture Patrick over the incident with the visitor and his threats to press changes, while Matmat continues to whine and urge him to go and apologize to Jerome. Patrick turns a deaf ear and the doctor decides to suspend him for 10 days without pay.

While Patrick is on his way out, Gemma approaches him and urges him to make amends in hopes that his punishment will be lightened. Patrick however tells her that he doesn’t regret anything.

As he carries on, he runs into Bella and Kai, and the former apologizes for what happened while the latter thanks him for the considerate gesture. Patrick assures Bella that it isn’t her fault and besides, he had only gotten suspended and not lost his job.

In no time, he goes to find Mia and she asks why he’s smiling after what happened. Patrick offers his hand, having decided to take her up on her offer to run away together. While Mia drives them on the road, they discuss where to go for the vacation.

Mia gets pretty upset as Patrick mentions that he can’t stay overnight because of his brother. She speeds up the car, threatening to drive off the cliff so they can die together.

Patrick has a good scare as Mia brings the car to an abrupt stop and kicks him out. Mia then throws out his bag and drives away. Gemma confides in her mother over whether or not to move on from Patrick.

In the meantime, Patrick eats at Jason’s restaurant and the guy lectures him on his unhealthy attachment to Mia. Speaking of, Mia drinks at a bar and plays a ridiculous game of darts to blow off steam, with Patrick’s head as her imaginary target.

Jason talks to Patrick about his feelings for Gemma. Upon Patrick’s arrival at the mansion, he meets Dipong who hands over some letters that had been delivered earlier.

When Patrick hears him humming that same tune, he asks about it and Dipong tells him that it’s Mia’s mom’s favorite song but he can’t remember the title. Later that night, Mia arrives and begins throwing stuff at Patrick for his reluctance to go far away with her.

Mia storms off and finds Matmat watching some cartoons. She warms up to him and asks to be besties with him and he gladly agrees. Olivia stares menacing at a knife at a shop somewhere, just as Eden has dinner with her son, charging him to make sure he becomes the best writer once he gets into the University of Marlowe.

As Gemma continues to wallow in the misery of her unrequited løve, Madeth comes over to lecture and cheer her up, going on about the kind of man for her. Vincent spies smilingly.

In the meantime, Patrick talks things out with Mia and somehow softens her. He makes note of how much he’s changed since she came along. They have a moment and as Patrick is about to ki$$ her, they’re interrupted the sudden bleating of a goat downstairs.

After Patrick leaves for bed, Mia curses at the goat for ruining her life, warning it never to show it’s face again. The next day, she gets all flirty with Patrick and even puckers her lips at him. Trouble brews at Ok Hospital as Bella’s father decides to take her away to the States to continue her treatment.

Bella tries in vain to convince her father other die and Dr. Anok approves her discharge. Kai is devastated to see Bella leaving with her father and Tommy and the others stop him from trying to intervene.
