Mia Plays A Game of Manipulation. Patrick’s Frustrations Boil Over Amidst The Stalker’s Presence.
Mia takes Matmat inside and gives him a contract to sign; he’ll not only be her housemate but the illustrator of her new book. Matmat gets excited at that. Meanwhile, Patrick borrows Jason’s motorbike to go and pick up his brother.
Mia hangs out with Matmat and she gets him drunk while narrating to him an old tale he’s never heard before. When Patrick finally arrives at the spooky mansion, he finds his brother lying drunk in the sofa.
He goes to confront Mia and warns her to stop using Matmat against him. Mia tries in vain to get him to admit that he feels something for her. As she runs after him, she trips on the stairs and Patrick catches her in time.
Nurse Olivia sits by Samuel’s bedside, caressing his hand. The old man seems uneasy for some reason upon taking note of her. When Gemma shows up and asks what she’s doing there, Olivia claims she came to check up on Samuel because she heard him moaning in pain.
Back at the mansion, Patrick and Mia are left staring at each other. Matmat comes upon the scene, breaking things up. He resists when his brother tries to take him away.
Matmat states that he now lives at the mansion and he will be drawing for Mia’s new book. Mia reveals that they already signed a contract. She shows it to Patrick and he tears it up in frustration and tries to drag his brother away.
Matmat snaps and begins attacking his brother, saying that he gets to decide what to do with his life because he doesn’t own him. Mia observes for a while before calling off Matmat and sending him inside.
She then asks Patrick if he’ll continue to let his brother hurt him forever. He only has one choice; abandon Matmat and live the life he wants, or stay with him and be tied to him until the day he dies.
Fashback; Patrick excitedly shows his mother the gloves he won at a boxing match, and Tessie scolds and spanks him for neglecting his brother to be beaten by some guys.
Patrick retorts that he’s not Matmat’s nanny and he doesn’t owe him his life. He even curses at him, hoping that he dies. Later after the brothers reconcile, they play near the river while Mia observes solemnly.
Matmat’s toy falls in the river and he goes to retrieve it but he’s unable to swim back. He calls out to his brother for help but Patrick turns away from him and begins walking away. He eventually goes to help his brother much to Mia’s dismay.
If it were up to Mia, Patrick should have left Matmat to drown. Now Patrick is the one stuck in the river’s current and he calls out to Matmat for help but Matmat doesn’t even glance back as he carries on.
Eventually, Mia rescues Patrick. At present, Patrick examines the contract Matmat signed with Mia. Apparently, he won’t be taking money as payment for his services but a caravan where they could live.
Patrick later talks to Mrs. Li about the incident with his brother and she urges him to support him. The next day, Vincent visits the mansion with Madeth and he’s exasperated to learn of what Mia has been up to with Matmat.
He asks Madeth to stay with them in order to watch over them but Mia says that’s unnecessary, because her safety pin will be there to do just that.
Suddenly, Patrick shows up with some stuff and Matmat excitedly goes to greet him, apologizing for what happened last night. Patrick pulls Mia away to talk to her and he makes it clear that his brother’s therapy sessions with Dr. Anok will come first before her work.
He adds some other conditions and Mia agrees without any argument. Gemma blows a fuse upon learning that Patrick went to stay with Mia. Drama unfolds as her mother strives to make her see reason.
In the meantime, Mia takes the brothers on a tour of the mansion. She shows them the library and other parts of the house. Mia brings up the kind of payment Matmat had requested for, and Matmat mentions that it’s because they never stay long in one place.
He blurts out how he and Patrick keep moving because something has been following them. A confused Mia asks if they have a stalker and Patrick evades the question.
Mia shows them their bedroom which gets Matmat quite excited. Someone watches from the outside.
Later that night, Matmat is on his way to the restroom when he hears a buzzing noise. As he follows the sound, down the flight of stairs leading to the brown door, Mia materializes and asks what he’s doing.
