It’s Okay To Not Be Okay Episode 10

Confrontation Erupts Between Mia & Gemma. Mia Takes Matmat To The Spooky Mansion, Leaving Patrick In Distress.

Patrick is compelled to pull his mattress to the other side after Mia wraps her legs around him a couple of times. Eden lashes out at her son when he informs her that he hadn’t been able to get into college.

The next morning, examines Patrick’s sleeping face before going over to the poster of emotional expressions. Gemma excitedly takes some bread to Patrick, and she’s not happy to see Mia outside.

A confrontation ensues where Mia taunts her with how she had beat her to the chase in getting Patrick. Mia declares Patrick his and warns Gemma to back off.

Gemma faces off with her, criticizing her actions and calling her out on her obsession. After another round of exchange of words, Gemma slaps Mia and Mia grabs her by the hair, cursing at her.

Patrick intervenes and breaks things off as Matmat and Mrs. Li come upon the scene.  Patrick drags Mia away and scolds her for causing trouble. He makes it clear that she doesn’t own him and thus, he can’t dictate to him what to do.

He dumps some money in her hands and tells her to go home. A moment later, he tries to explain things to Matmat. Matmat points out that he should have let Mia wear his expensive clothes which he keeps for special occasions.

As Gemma sulks in bed, her mother brings her some comfort food and urges her to dig in. Mrs. Li is confused when Gemma laments over how Patrick had gotten mad at Mia alone.

Gemma explains that Patrick giving Mia more attention means that they’re closer. She whines about how he didn’t even glance at her. To make things worse, he had let her stay with him in his room while he’s never invited her to come over.

Mrs. Li tries to comfort her by saying that nothing inappropriate happened between them. Madeth meets up with Vincent to update him on the problems they’ve been having at work.

Later that night, Patrick talks to Jason about Mia. Jason points out the need to stay away from her because she’s quite unstable. Patrick agrees so, saying that they came back to Maravida for Matmat’s therapy and that’s what he needs to focus on.

In the meantime, Mia throws a fit and tramples on Patrick’s clothes, upset over how he had treated her earlier, as well as how he keeps confusing her with mixed signals.

In no time, Vincent comes knocking on the door with Madeth, both sporting wretched expressions on their faces. Vincent desperately tries to convince Mia to return to Manila with him to resume work before the company is deeply affected.

Mia insists that she’s not ready to go. Madeth gives Vincent her resignation letter so she can leave before her bank balance reaches zero with how things are going.

Vincent tears it up and he’s surprised when Mia suddenly agrees to resume work. He asks Madeth to stay over at the mansion and help her out but Mia objects to it, stating that she already has a housemate.

The next day at the hospital, Patrick checks in on Gemma and apologizes for the incident with Mia. Gemma asks what she had been doing at his place and he explains things to her. Mia goes to see the doctor and he apologizes to her for what her father did.

Mia notes that it wasn’t his fault and she slips away as the doctor continues blabbering. Gemma asks Cynthia about the ghost rumors and Zelda chimes in that she must have imagined it. She reminds Gemma that Cynthia is sick in the head.

Cynthia insists that she knows what she saw and Gemma tries to comfort her by agreeing with her. Suddenly, Zelda snaps and slaps Gemma for insinuating that she’s the liar. A moment later, Gemma turns to her comfort food.

Patrick comes to check up on her and out of the blue, he lets her down, saying that she deserves a løve that will make her complete and happy. Gemma asks if he likes someone else or if it’s because he’ll be leaving with Matmat again after a year.

Patrick doesn’t reply but he’s glad when Gemma agrees that they can still be friends. After observing them for a while, Mia goes to see Matmat at the mess hall and she convinces him to go with her to have fun.

She takes him to the spooky, ancestral mansion. Patrick is concerned when he learns that his brother had left with Mia.

Speaking of, Mia takes Matmat inside and gives him a contract to sign; he’ll not only be her housemate but the illustrator of her new book. Matmat gets excited at that. Patrick borrows Jason’s motorbike to go and pick up his brother.
