Patrick Stands Up To Junjun’s Toxic Parents. A Shocking Incident Between Mia & Her Father Raises Questions.
The episode begins with Patrick taking Matmat shopping for some supplies for his paintings. He recalls the encounter with Mia earlier.
Meanwhile, Mia hangs out with Vincent at the mansion’s doorstep, and he tries to convince her to go back to Manila with him. Mia laments over how Patrick had reacted after she professed her løve for him.
A flashback reveals that Vincent had called Patrick and told him not to take anything Mia says to him serious because she doesn’t really mean them. They need to go back to Manila because there’s a lot of work waiting for them.
However, Mia has been dragging her feet because of Patrick. Vincent notes that Mia won’t be able to write anything as long as she’s still in Maravida.
And thus, Patrick’s reaction when Mia told him about her feelings. At present, Mia whines over how she had been told that no one would ever løve her. Vincent says he does, and he would always be there for her.
He makes another futile attempt to convince Mia to go back to Manila with him. Vincent goes to Jason’s eatery to order some food and he complains because no drawing came with the order this time.
Jason explains that the person who draws isn’t around. Just then, Gemma walks in and he’s mesmerized by her. She takes a nearby table and after Jason takes her order, Vincent makes a ridiculous attempt to strike a conversation with her.
A moment later, they both sit at their separate tables, lamenting over the troubles Mia has been causing them. Trouble begins to brew at the hospital as the congressman pays an impromptu visit with his wife.
Their mission is to confront the staff who let out their son, knowing full well that he’s not in right frame of mind. Pogi tells Patrick that he risks losing his job over the scandal Junjun caused.
The nurses decide to call Mia to come and answer but Patrick insists on handling the matter. The Martinez couple confront the doctor and make their case.
Dr. Lumbera tries to calm them down, saying that the incident had a good effect on their son and they can take him home in a few days. Patrick comes upon the scene as the old couple belittle their own son, with Ben vowing to transfer him to another hospital if he’s discharged.
Patrick makes a futile attempt to reason with them. Some choice words are exchanged. The congressman brands his son as useless and Patrick retorts that they shouldn’t have given birth if they were not ready for the responsibility.
Patrick is slapped and cursed by the old man before he storms off with his wife. Matmat arrives at the hospital, taking photos of beautiful things. He comes across Zelda who asks him to take a photo of her.
Just then, a butterfly lands on the bench she’s seated on and Matmat runs off. Nurse Eden laments to the doctor about how the congressman had treated Patrick earlier.
She wants them to file a complaint against him but then she realizes that the matter won’t go anywhere without evidence. Dr. Lumbera shows her the CCTV which had recovered everything that transpired.
While staring at the white wall at the mess hall, Matmat is delighted when Mia suddenly shows up and approaches him. Mia takes a selfie with him and has him draw her at the lobby.
After Matmat is done with the drawing, Mia examines it and commends him for a great job. When Patrick gets wind of this, he hurries over there and forcefully pulls his brother away.
Matmat tries to resist and Patrick snaps at him and tells him to wait for him at the spot. He then goes to drag Mia away from the hall. Patrick demands for her to leave he and Matmat alone.
Upon noticing his bruised lip, Mia lectures him for not fighting back against whoever hurt him. Exasperated, Patrick asks if she’s capable of feeling sorry for him or something.
He scrutinizes her over how she doesn’t even understand her own emotions. Later, Mia goes to see her father and tries to make him remember her. Without warning, Samuel begins strangling her, declaring that she shouldn’t be alive.
Surprisingly, Mia laughs as her father tries to choke her and nurses hurry over to intervene. A moment later, Mia walks out of the hospital, someone spies and states that she deserves what happened to her. She shouldn’t have come there and hopefully, she won’t be coming back.
