Shadows From The Past Converge. Mia’s Dark Tale Unfolds, Intertwining With Patrick’s Destiny.
The show begins with an animation story of a lonely princess who lived in the forest. After she is rejected by her peers, a parasitic entity known as the shadow of darkness manifests.
The girl then begins throwing rocks around in anger and unknowingly saves a boy who had been swallowed by a fish. They become almost inseparable but eventually, the boy leaves her when he witness how she splits a butterfly into two.
Once the princess is alone again, the shadow of darkness returns and begins whispering demeaning words to her. The princess from the dark tale turns out to be Emilia “Mia” Hernandez, a children’s book author.
Matthew “Matmat” wakes up his brother Patrick “Patpat”, and they quickly get ready to leave for work. Patrick sees off Matthew who happens to be autistic. On the way to his workplace, he recalls how his brother is always triggered by butterflies.
While Emilia “Mia” enjoys some steak in peace at a restaurant, a mother comes over with her daughter who is a huge fan of her books. On her request, Mia gives her an autograph and scares her away with her antics.
When Vincent, Mia’s PA joins her, she scares him as well. The rain begins falling as she heads out with her PA, and she takes note of Patrick who’s walking nearby.
After receiving a phone call, Patrick goes to his brother’s workplace and the boss complains bitterly over how his brother had caused a huge damage. He talks down at Matthew on account of his condition before firing him.
Patrick takes his brother out to treat him before proceeding to work. He’s compelled to deal with the antics of Jillian, a demented patient at the psychiatric ward.
His coworkers gossip about how he’s not lasted a year in all of the hospitals he’s worked at. Patrick calls home to check up on his brother. Matthew eagerly wants to go to Mia’s book reading to get an autograph, and Patrick points out that it’s only for kids.
He promises to get him the autograph. A moment later, Patrick encounters Mia at the hospital’s garden and she invites him to her book reason. As Patrick walks away, a flood of memories from the dark tale begin pouring in, and it’s revealed that he’s the boy who met Mia.
While Vincent makes preparations for the book reading, a nurse from OK Hospital calls to request Mia’s presence for a consent from. Apparently, her father is admitted there and needs a surgery for a brain tumor.
Mia scoffs, saying that it’s pointless because the man is already dead. An aggressive patient called Alex Roces is brought into Ok Hospital, and the doctor tells Patrick about how he had tried to k!ll himself and his daughter.
Someway somehow, Alex escapes the hospital and sneaks into the auditorium where the book reading is taking place. While Mia is busy reading her dark tale to her audience, security cut it short to evacuate everyone much to her dismay.
Alex finds his daughter and carries her away. He’s eager for them to carry out their plan but the little girl cries, saying that she doesn’t want to die. Mia resurfaces and begins taunting, mocking and berating Alex.
The wretched guy gets upset and attacks her. Mia knocks him down with her handbag and the guy recovers and pounces on her. Mia relives a traumatic memory as Alex strangles her.
Coming upon the scene, Patrick intervenes and manages to restrain the guy. Without warning, Mia lunges at Alex with her kñife, but Patrick intervenes, catching the blade mid-air.
Bl00d trickles as Patrick’s hand is injured. They’re left staring at each other and somewhat impressed, Mia declares that destiny has found them.
