“Zandro confirms Jasmin attacked Max, tightening suspicion around her, while Jasmin gets even closer to Iris, earning her trust as she hides her true motives.”
Pascual was asking the Buenavidez family about Max’s possible enemies, but Iris grew annoyed, saying they had already answered all of that during the initial investigation.
Zandro arrived and showed them a photo of Jasmin from the moment she sneaked into Max’s house. Meanwhile, Jasmin, still at the hospital, was about to leave when Iris stopped her and apologized for forgetting about her.
Zandro approached them and asked Jasmin if she knew Max, which she denied. Iris explained that Jasmin only accompanied her to drop her off. At home, Aster asked Jasmin (Lavender) if she was sure she wasn’t caught on CCTV.
Jasmin told her they were still suspecting Jasmin Flores. Aster said maybe what happened to Max was for the best, since at least no one could point fingers at Lavender now. But Lavender painfully admitted she wanted to see him suffer.
She sobbed, saying that after seeing his family, she could no longer hold on to her hatred. Aster replied that if only Max’s family knew how awful he truly was.
Jasmin later received the DNA report, which came back positive, confirming that the child she saw at Max’s place was her daughter. She went to Max’s funeral and met Angel, her daughter.
She tried to take the child away, but Lydia arrived, calling Angel’s name, forcing Jasmin to stop. Jasmin explained that she saw Angel playing alone and thought she was lost.
Lydia thanked her for finding the child, saying she could have wandered off. Gio asked if she came to his father’s funeral, and Jasmin said she was visiting her grandmother, who was buried in the same cemetery.
She offered to take them home, and Lydia agreed. At Max’s house, while looking through photos, Lydia told Jasmin that Angel was a child Max had brought home. She explained why he had to do so and said Max got Angel from a clinic where his friend worked.
Jasmin pressed for answers, but Lydia had none. Aster later reprimanded Jasmin for what she did, trying to take Angel and almost getting caught. She reminded her how many times she warned her to control her emotions, insisting she couldn’t ruin everything after years of preparation.
After a series of investigations and the evidence gathered—along with the wounds found on Max’s body, Zandro confirmed that Jasmin was the one who attacked him before he was hit by the car.
Meanwhile, Aster tried to make Jasmin think clearly, telling her to use her head, not her heart. But Jasmin wasn’t listening, she wanted her daughter back. She asked Aster if she would wait to reunite with her daughter under the same circumstances.
Aster said no, because she wasn’t a wanted person. Aster reminded Jasmin that she is a wanted person, which would make raising her daughter difficult. She told Jasmin that to be with her child, she must first clear her name.
Everyone sees Jasmin as a criminal, but the real criminals are the Buenavidez family. If Jasmin wants her daughter back, they must first gather evidence against the Buenavidez.
Pascual informed Zandro that they identified the owner of the property where Jasmin took Max, it belonged to Aster Fields. Zandro wondered how Aster was connected to Jasmin, but Pascual suggested it might be a coincidence, believing Jasmin could have taken Max there without Aster knowing.
Petunia brought Jasmin to Iris’s house. On the way, she talked about what happened to Max and how Jasmin was involved. When they arrived, Petunia told Iris that Lavender (Jasmin) was looking for a lot in their neighborhood, so she showed her Iris’s lot.
As they talked, Lydia came to serve and immediately recognized Jasmin. Iris wondered how they knew each other, and Lydia explained their encounter. Jasmin tried to downplay it to avoid suspicion.
The ladies talked about kids, and Petunia told Iris to have one while she’s still young. Insensitively, she suggested seeing a fertility doctor since Iris and Tyrone had tried but nothing worked, implying Iris might be the problem since Tyrone managed to have a baby with his mistress.
She kept talking until Iris, infuriated, told her to leave. Lily dragged Petunia outside. Jasmin told Iris she had been in a similar situation, she lived with her boyfriend Jerry and tried to have kids, because Jerry loved children, but she struggled to get pregnant, so he got his mistress pregnant.
Iris held her hand, realizing someone finally understood what she was going through. Later that day, the two drank their sorrows away, swearing off men.
Iris opened up about what Tyrone did, stealing from them and giving everything to his mistress. Jasmin said Tyrone must have loved Iris. Iris scoffed, saying it didn’t matter anymore. What mattered now was getting even with Tyrone’s mistress.
“I’ll kill her,” she added.
Jasmin asked where Tyrone’s mistress and child were. Iris said she didn’t know, but she felt the woman was close and taunting her. Seeing how persistent Jasmin was about Tyrone’s mistress, Iris changed the topic, and they continued drinking.
Later, alone and in tears, Iris remembered her moments with Tyrone, how caring he was during her pregnancy, how happy they were, and how devastated she was when she lost her baby. The pain of the past dragged her back to reality.
