Gabriela Confronts Her Father. JB Digs Into His Father’s Dark Past. The New Contract Spells Trouble. Andres Reaches Out to Isabel.
Gabriela storms her father’s house to confront him over Tomas’ disappearance, only to find him fooling around with Shari his mistress. She lashes out at him for bringing her into her mother’s home.
Phillip justifies his actions and declares that he’s not done anything to his burglar friend.
Gab storms off and Shari goes after her to talk to her. Gab gives her an earful, going on about how her affair with her father had driven her mother to her tragic death.
Staring at the photo of Timor and his father, JB recalls Timor’s accusations. When he asks his father about the sword and fire tattoo, Antonio claims that it was for a covert military group. JB tries to press for details but he declares that it’s confidential.
While Tomas spies on a young guy working at a bakery, Gabriela dines with Ninong and he tells her about how his nephew used to frequent a bakery shop one of his half-brothers work at. When Miguel meets up with Greg, he questions him about the mûrdër case he’s been implicated in.
Miguel assures him that everything is under control. Andres meets up with JB and reveals to him the conflicting information he found on his father. JB mentions the explanation Antonio had given when he asked about the tattoo.
Andres points out that he’ll be needing his help and JB retorts that it’s not going to be easy to get anything from the old man. General Novilla gives Greg a new contract for his team – to retrieve the hard drive containing the master list from the Escaleras.
He notes that acquiring the master list would go a long way to clean up the ranks of the military and root out any moles in the service. Ironically, Max goes back to La Vida Royale hotel to search for her ring. She cries her heart out when she fails to find it.
She eventually finds it though by sheer luck. Gabriela spies on Tomas as he spies on his brother Baste. She pulls a stunt and compels him to join her at the bakery. When Baste sets eyes on him, he begins lamenting over what his brother had done the last time he came over.
Gabriela tries to calm him down as Tomas walks away. Max resumes her usual habit of torturing herself with the ring and an audio recording of Sevi. She soon receives a phone call from the Contractor.
In the meantime, Gabriela catches up with Tomas and tries to make him see reason as to why she had interfered. Tom continues to treat her with reservations. They both receive text messages from the Contractor.
Meanwhile, JB questions his father about the Escalera master list and his involvement with them. Insisting that he was a secret operative, Antonio urges JB to ensure that the master list doesn’t get out since it would put a lot of people in danger.
Determined to track down Isabel, Andres shadows the van transporting her son’s personal effects. Later, he receives a phone call from Greg who asks to talk to him in person tomorrow. When JB meets up with the Contractor, he’s taken by surprise to learn that the new contract is to retrieve the Escalera hard drive containing the master list.
Posing as one of Isabel’s servants, Andres blends in with the delivery guys as they deliver Donato’s things to Isabel’s suite. Ninong gives Tomas a lecture for going to see his brother in spite of how he sees him.
He reprimands him over how he had treated Gabriela badly when all she wanted to do was help. Tomas whines that she’s too nosy and Ninong points out that she went out of her way to help because she cares.
Tomas then resolves to apologize to her. JB meets up with Max and informs her about the details of the new contract, stating that he’s not been able to reach Andres on the phone. Max worries about the trouble they could get into. And the fallout with his father’s name on the list.
JB declares that he believes him and Max plays devil’s advocate. She suggests that they should hand over the drive to the authorities. Andres lingers until the delivery guys leave before he approaches Isabel.
When he asks for her help, she pulls a gün on him and he easily disarms her. Andres asks for information on his brother’s kidñapping but Isabel refuses to help. Meanwhile, Greg asks Miguel if he’s noticed anything amiss recently.
