“Anna finally forgives Miranda, but heartbreak follows as Miranda dies in her arms.”
Ashley was furious at Sarah for releasing that video as she reminded her that they had agreed not to reveal everything they knew. Sarah countered, reminding her that they had also agreed to destroy Anna and send her to jail, and that was their chance.
Ashley angrily told her that what she did wouldn’t only ruin Anna, but had also put her (Ashley) in trouble. She told Sarah that Miranda knew one of her secrets, and if Miranda exposed it, she wouldn’t only lose her job, her entire career would be destroyed, all because of her (Sarah).
“That’s your problem,” Sarah replied coldly.
Ashley was in disbelief, thinking she and Sarah were still on the same side. But Sarah reminded her that was before Ashley betrayed her and had her thrown out of NTV. She told Ashley that if she wanted them to work together, there was only one thing she wanted, to ruin Anna’s life.
Chito was in jail, and her daughter had been taken away from her, so she wouldn’t be the only one suffering. She vowed that they would both suffer and that none of them would ever have a happy life. Then she left Ashley fuming. Julius found Anna packing her things to leave, and she told him she couldn’t stand seeing Miranda.
He said he was coming with her, but she said she’d rather he didn’t, as she didn’t want anyone getting involved or owing anyone anything, so he should stop. Julius held her and told her that after everything that had happened, he realized his feelings for her hadn’t changed, he still loved her.
Since their past had become clear, he wanted to start over, but Anna said they couldn’t. He wanted to know if she didn’t love him anymore, and she said she wanted to save Grace first. He explained that she couldn’t do that by running away and couldn’t give Grace the life she deserved if she kept pushing people away, she had to let people into her life.
He told her not to deny Grace the people who would love her, and Anna, sobbing, looked at him, knowing he was right. Anna was alone when Jessica came with her accusations. Fed up, Anna told her she was leaving anyway, infuriating Jessica even more, who asked if she would just leave after everything and accused her of acting proud.
Anna said she didn’t know if Jessica understood her and asked if she knew what she had been through, what it felt like knowing no one wanted her. Jessica defended Miranda, telling her how difficult it had been for Miranda to give her away.
Even she (Jessica) had to suffer because of Miranda’s pain, and even when she tried to fill the gap of Miranda’s missing child, it was impossible, she was always the second choice.
Anna tried to make her understand her point of view, saying she had never felt love, and suddenly discovering her mother was Miranda, the woman who made her life miserable, then called Miranda a bad mother. Jessica called her ungrateful and reminded her of what Miranda had done to keep her safe.
She told her about Miranda’s illness, knowing they could lose her at any moment. That revelation stunned Anna, who immediately went to visit Miranda at the hospital. She tried to leave after entering Miranda’s room, but Miranda begged her to stay. Miranda admitted that no amount of explanation would ever make Anna forgive her.
She said she had prayed for a moment like this for years but had hoped it wouldn’t be this painful. Anna coldly told her that she wasn’t a bad person and was ready to do anything to make up for Miranda’s help, then turned to leave. But Miranda stopped her, tearfully and shakily handing her the documents she had prepared for her and Grace so they could leave.
She begged Anna to take the documents, promising that would be the last one, hoping it would ease both their pains. Anna coldly took the document, said “Thank you,” and left without caring about Miranda’s cries and pain. Miranda’s condition worsened, and Helena came to visit her.
She thanked her for everything she had done for Anna, and Miranda said she would do anything for their daughter. Helena wondered if Anna would ever forgive them, and Miranda said it wouldn’t be easy, but from the moments she spent with Anna, she knew she was a good person.
They talked about Anna with warmth, and Helena, relieved, shared memories of when they adopted Anna. She said she felt overwhelmed when she learned Anna was Antonio and Miranda’s daughter and that knowing Anna would be the reason Miranda would be in their lives changed her feelings toward her.
Helena admitted that she had once been jealous of Miranda because her life seemed perfect, her career, everything, and she wondered why she couldn’t have that. Miranda explained that it wasn’t as it seemed because Helena had her (Miranda’s) daughter’s love and a family, while she, Miranda, though known as the town’s “mother,” never felt complete.
She vowed to do everything she could to ask for forgiveness, even with her last breath. Both Miranda and Helena apologized to each other for the pain they had caused. Vincent wanted to know if Anna would go to jail because he didn’t want Erin to be hurt, as she loved her sister very much.
Oscar said it wasn’t up to him but admitted he wouldn’t arrest her if it were his choice, because not everything in life has a clear law to follow, just like Grace’s case, since not everything lawful is right. Vincent expressed how proud he was of his father for always doing what was right.
Anna came to Miranda’s room and found her asleep, but seeing her mumbling in pain, still trapped in her past, crying and begging her father in her nightmare not to make her abort her child, saying she loved her baby even if it meant her death, broke Anna’s heart.
She was shocked by Miranda’s confession and went to her side, gently calming her and sobbing as she said, “I’m here.” Later that night, Miranda finally woke up and saw her daughter by her side. She and Anna had a heartfelt conversation as Anna admitted that if Miranda hadn’t been her mother, this situation wouldn’t have happened.
Miranda said that if this situation hadn’t happened, maybe she’d be facing a different Anna, because everything that happened made Anna who she was now: strong, brave, and full of love. Anna said that meeting Grace had led her to Miranda and confessed that maybe she met Grace so the pain and anger in her heart would fade, and she would learn to forgive.
“Mama,” Anna tearfully called Miranda and went to hug her. Both mother and daughter shared an emotional reunion as Miranda thanked her. Miranda quietly slipped away while still in her daughter’s arms, and when Anna realized Miranda wasn’t moving, she looked at her and saw that she had passed away.
She kept saying, “Ma, Ma, Ma,” but Miranda didn’t respond. Anna broke down, crying uncontrollably, holding tightly to Miranda and repeatedly mumbling, “I’m sorry.” Jessica came to console her, and the sisters shared an emotional embrace, crying bitterly together.
