“Miranda risked everything to protect Anna and Grace, hiding them in her rest house and promising to help clear Anna’s name.”
Helena was questioning Sarah about seeing Anna, and Sarah, in disbelief, asked Princess to tell her mother to stop lying. She reminded Princess about her earlier call, where she promised to return her daughter, but Princess admitted she only called to tell Sarah to leave them alone.
Sarah accused her of lying and attacked her, forcing others to separate them. Oscar then informed his team that Governor Hernandez had issued a manhunt order against Anna Sarmiento. Anna heard about the manhunt order through a walkie-talkie and fled with Grace, with Julius’s help, to avoid being arrested.
Unfortunately, Julius’s car tire got punctured, and while they were trying to figure out what to do next, Miranda arrived, informing them about the arrest order and urging them to get into her car so she could help them escape.
As they drove, Anna gave directions since she knew the area well. When they noticed a checkpoint ahead, Miranda told them to hide while Julius drove toward the officers, who allowed them to pass after recognizing Miranda.
Meanwhile, Jessica called Carmen to ask about Miranda’s whereabouts, explaining that she hadn’t been answering her calls. Carmen told her Miranda was on her way back to Manila, surprising Jessica since her mother hadn’t mentioned leaving.
Miranda took Anna and Grace to her rest house for safety, assuring them that no one would find them there. Anna wanted to know why Miranda was helping her despite believing she kidnapped Grace. Miranda didn’t give a direct answer but apologized, blaming herself for being the reason Anna was in this mess.
Helena, meanwhile, was arguing with some neighbours after calling out for Anna when Sarah appeared, demanding to see her daughter. Charlie told Sarah to stop ruining their lives with her constant visits. He reminded her that she and her partner had demanded ransom money for Grace.
Sarah defended herself, claiming she knew nothing about that but insisted they had her daughter. Helena shouted that Anna wasn’t around, but Sarah accused her of hiding her. She started making a scene, and when Helena tried to stop her, Sarah attacked both her and Charlie.
Princess then came from behind and hit Sarah with a stick. Anna overheard Miranda’s
phone conversation, where she said, “Yes, they’re here. Keep an eye on them. I’ll just go out for a bit. I need to talk to someone.” Without making a sound, Anna held Grace’s hand and tried to escape.
They were running when Anna tripped and fell, injuring her leg. Some wooden planks were about to fall on them when Miranda rushed in, shielding them and getting hurt herself. Elsewhere, Julius managed to get a signal and called Helena, informing her that Anna was fine but refusing to reveal her location for fear that Helena might get implicated.
Miranda was cleaning her wound when Grace offered to help. Surprised, Miranda asked how she knew how to do that. Grace said she often got bruises from being hit by Chito and her old mother, Sarah, but cheerfully added that she no longer got hurt because she was now with her real mother, Anna.
Touched by Grace’s joy, Miranda asked why she called Anna “Mama” and whether Anna told her to. Grace explained that Anna had asked her to call her “Mama” while they were hiding, and now she liked it. Miranda asked if she wasn’t scared when Anna k!dnapped her, but Grace laughed, saying Anna didn’t k!dnap her rather she kidnapped Anna.
Grace explained how she made Anna come with her to Quezon when Anna was about to leave for Hong Kong and how she ended up staying with her. She asked Miranda if that was kidnapping, and Miranda replied that, according to the law, Anna should have brought her back.
Chito later met Sarah, who accused him of getting her into trouble by not helping her. He reminded her of the consequences if he had because the police would have arrested them both. He accused her of betraying him since he saw on TV what she told the cops.
She asked him for money, but he said he had nothing because he got tricked and didn’t get the ransom. He told her to find Grace, saying the child was the only one who could help pin everything on Anna. Miranda was bandaging Anna’s injured foot while Julius scolded her for trying to escape despite the danger outside.
Anna then revealed that she overheard Miranda’s phone call about having someone watch over them. Miranda explained that she was referring to her caretaker, but promised to dismiss him if it made Anna uncomfortable. They talked about trust, and Miranda looked sad as she noticed how much Anna loved her family especially her mother.
Carmen arrived shortly after and was happy to meet Anna. Anna was taken aback by her cheerful behaviour, and Miranda introduced Carmen to her. Miranda asked Anna to give her a chance to prove she could be trusted. She promised to clear Anna’s name and ensure Sarah and Chito were jailed.
Meanwhile, Charlie told Helena how much Sarah’s scandals had affected their lives and business. Princess blamed Anna for everything, but Helena snapped, reminding her that Anna wasn’t there. Charlie asked what their next step should be, and Helena suggested temporarily closing the inn until things cooled down.
She told them she had a friend who owned an apartment in Manila where they could stay for a while. Carmen teased Miranda for doing things she hadn’t done in a long time since finding her daughter. They discussed Anna’s struggles, with Miranda blaming herself for part of Anna’s suffering.
Carmen said Helena’s mistakes were far worse, but Miranda admitted she couldn’t go against Helena because Anna loved her and her family. She said she couldn’t fight the woman who raised her daughter. Carmen reassured her that since she was winning Anna back, she had plenty of time to prepare her.
Miranda agreed, saying all she wanted was to ease Anna’s pain. Carmen then mentioned Jessica, warning that she might not easily accept Anna especially because Anna and Julius had a past. Miranda later approached Julius and asked if he planned to get back with Anna, but he told her not to meddle in his personal life.
Since he didn’t want to discuss personal matters, she switched to business, asking him to return to work with her. She explained why she had fired him earlier and requested his help to clear Anna’s name and prove Sarah and Chito’s guilt in Grace’s kidnapping.
