“Julius learns the depth of Anna and Grace’s bond as Grace defends Anna, forcing Julius to confront both Anna’s painful past and his own feelings for her.”
Anna was in disbelief when Helena told her she only thinks about herself. She reminded her mom of everything she had done ever since her dad died. Helena asked her if she thought she owed her because of those favors. She told Anna that she never asked her to do any of those things.
Anna said she did them because she knew Helena was blaming her for her dad’s death and also because she was adopted. Helena was shocked to know Anna already knew about her adoption. Both shared their points of view to make peace with each other, but Helena still insisted Anna return Grace because she didn’t want her life ruined, as she might end up in jail.
Anna went to her room looking for Grace but couldn’t find her. Instead, she saw Grace’s book that had a message for her which read: “ I’m sorry mama, I don’t ’t want you to go to jail. I’ll leave you in Pipo’s ’s care. I love you mama.” Anna rushed outside to find the little girl.
Julius, who was in his car talking about his flight to Manila, saw Anna running and decided to follow her. Anna began asking around if anyone had seen Grace, but they all said no. Unknown to her, Julius was trailing her. She finally found Grace, who was apologetic, saying she didn’t want her to go to jail. They hugged when Julius started calling out Grace’s name.
The child denied being Grace and told him she was Bright. She held on to Anna tightly, pleading with Julius not to take her home. He explained to her that everyone was worried about her, but she begged him not to let anyone know where she was. He looked at Anna and told her not to make things difficult, that she should surrender the child now.
Julius was driving with Anna and Grace in his car but didn’t know where he was taking them. Anna wanted to talk, but he refused, saying he didn’t want to be her accomplice. Grace insisted she didn’t want to go back and wanted to be with Anna, but Julius wasn’t ready to listen. She grabbed his steering wheel, trying to stop him, which caused them to get into an accident.
Anna tried leaving the car with Grace but was stopped by Julius, who held her hand and asked her where she was going. Charlie came to Helena and told her he had looked for Anna everywhere but couldn’t find her. He grew worried, thinking Anna might have left them again.
Julius and Anna argued about her actions, and she told him she did what she had to do. Julius accused her, and Anna asked if this was still about Grace or about his grudges against her. Julius looked at her in disbelief and asked how she could say that to him. Anna told him he should have asked her reasons before judging her.
Later that evening, After seeing the bond between Anna and Grace, Julius told Anna she’d be a great mother. Anna explained how Grace chose to be with her and how she clung to her whenever anyone tried to help. Julius said maybe Grace saw something in her.
Anna took the opportunity to talk about what happened between her and Julius, as she felt he was still angry. Julius admitted he was angry because Anna didn’t give him the chance to fight for her. She told him everything she did was for his own good. She revealed she couldn’t conceive again after suffering a miscarriage.
Knowing how much he wanted a child, she had to leave him because she couldn’t give him one. Julius admitted that while he did want a child, she was what he truly needed. Anna talked about her reality and told him she didn’t want to be a burden to him. She revealed how things changed when she found out she was adopted.
Julius told her that if they had talked about it earlier, he would have changed everything. Anna said she chose to face everything alone because she didn’t want to hurt anyone, but Grace changed everything. Carmen didn’t understand why Miranda was getting so close to Sarah, which was even affecting her shows.
Miranda told her it was because she saw herself in Sarah. They talked about Miranda’s past, and Miranda wondered if she did the right thing by giving her daughter away. Carmen reassured her, saying she didn’t give her away but only gave her a chance to have a family that would take care of her.
Oscar was talking to someone, telling him to look into Anna. Sarah arrived and overheard what he was saying. She demanded to know what Anna had to do with Grace, and Oscar explained they were investigating a tip they got and if it was connected to Lucy.
They found out Anna also came from the same orphanage, but they still couldn’t confirm if she had anything to do with Grace’s disappearance, so he warned Sarah not to act impulsively. Julius was sitting alone when Grace came to him. He couldn’t get her any food and gave her a candy—the only thing he had.
She told him she was already used to staying hungry, then opened up about the mistreatment she received from Chito and Sarah. She showed him her wounds and told him everything she had been through. She started crying, wondering why they would put Anna in jail when all she did was protect her from people who hurt her.
She said she was ready to talk to the people trying to put Anna in jail. Julius wanted to know why she ran away from Anna, and Grace told him she did it so Anna wouldn’t go to jail. She promised to leave as long as Anna wouldn’t go to jail, because she wasn’t like Sarah and Chito.
