“Sarah spotted Grace, but the kid ran off before she could reach her.”
The episode starts with Chito accusing Oscar of not being on their side, as he’s always indifferent toward them. He tells Oscar their child is missing, and that’s painful for them. They heard a car honk and went outside, only to see Bobby with some contractors ready to demolish the orphanage.
He was asked if he owned the place, and he answered that it belonged to his mom.The police told him they were investigating a k!dnapping case, and the person connected to the case had their number registered under the orphanage’s address.
Bobby was shown Grace’s photo and asked if he had seen her. He looked at the photo for a while before telling them his mother used to live in the orphanage but didn’t mention if she had guests. Sarah refused to believe her daughter wasn’t there and told them the girl probably got scared when she saw the cops.
She grabbed Chito so he could help her look for Grace around. While alone inside the orphanage, Miranda suddenly turned emotional as the place brought back bitter memories. She had a flashback of the time she got pregnant. She was crying, telling her friend that her man had cheated on her.
Carmen wasn’t surprised because she didn’t trust him in the first place. She asked her if she had confronted him and the woman, but Miranda said no, as she didn’t see any point in doing so since he wouldn’t take responsibility anyway.
Carmen reminded Miranda of the negative impact the child would have on her career should she decide to take full responsibility. She told Miranda to think about it, as Miranda herself didn’t want to lose her job because her family depended on her. After the birth of her child, Carmen and Miranda’s father wanted to know what she had decided.
Miranda told them she’d go back to work, and when asked what would happen to the child, since she couldn’t go to work with the baby as she’d be fired the moment they found out she had one, her father added that she couldn’t afford to lose her job because her siblings were still in school.
Miranda told her father no one would know she had given birth because she was giving the child up for adoption. The flashback ended. Oscar came to Miranda to tell her he had talked to the people so they could stop the demolition for now. They both wondered what Grace could be doing at the orphanage.
Miranda looked at her watch and told Oscar that it had been more than 24 hours since she called on Mila to bring back Grace. She wondered if Grace’s call had anything to do with it—that Mila might have dropped Grace and that Grace could be alone, which was why she called Sarah.
They both wondered where Grace could be if she was alone now. Anna was walking with Grace when the girl asked her where they were going, and Anna replied that she’d explain later. Meanwhile, Sarah was still wandering around the place, asking people if they had seen Grace.
Anna was talking on the phone, and Grace decided to take a walk around before Anna finished her call. She saw Sarah, who was still asking people around. She froze, and before she could react, Sarah saw her too. Not wanting to be caught or seen with Anna, Grace started running as Sarah kept chasing after her, calling out her name.
Sarah started crying as she missed out on Grace. Anna managed to find Grace, and they fled from the scene as quickly as possible. They stopped somewhere, and Anna asked if she was fine. Grace told her it was good that they didn’t see Anna.
Anna was surprised when she realized Grace had run to save her. Grace explained that if they saw them together, the police would arrest Anna. Anna was moved by the girl’s gesture and hugged her. She told her they needed to leave. They tried moving but had to step back as the police were still around. Anna nervously looked on.
Miranda questioned Sarah if she truly believed Grace was k!dnapped. Sarah wondered why she asked that, and Miranda told her to be honest with her. She asked if there was a chance Grace had run away from home, as that could be the only possible reason she might have run when she saw her.
Sarah denied it and said the reason Grace got scared and ran away was because the kidnapper was around at that time. She explained that her daughter only tried to protect her from the k!dnapper as she loved her very much.
While Sarah was recounting her encounter with Grace, Chito, who looked unbothered, told her that Grace had no intention of coming back. Sarah insisted something must have happened, as Grace wouldn’t simply run away from her. Chito replied that it meant Grace didn’t want to be with her anymore.
Sarah got angry at him for saying that and threw the food he was eating at him, demanding that he take back his words. The situation turned heated, and Sarah told Chito not to come to her house again.
“I won’t!” he yelled.
Anna went to her mother’s place to talk to her but was asked to stay a while since Wilson and his family would be coming. She couldn’t refuse, so she stayed. Things turned awkward when she had to sit at the table and eat with everyone.
Meanwhile, a senior officer was reprimanding Oscar for still not getting any clear outcome regarding Grace. He wanted to know when they would bring her back, warning that the longer the search went on, the more people would think the cops were useless.
At the table, Wilson’s father asked Anna if she would be attending the wedding, and Helena replied that Anna wouldn’t miss it. He hoped everything will be fine, considering Julius would be Wilson’s best man and knowing Julius and Anna had a past, but Helena assured him that Anna wouldn’t have a problem with it.
Princess began making sarcastic remarks toward Anna, questioning why she had suddenly shown up. Unable to tolerate her remarks, Anna told her mother she would come back another day.
“Of course, she’s going to leave again!” Princess yelled.
“That’s what you want, right?” Anna retorted. Helena yelled Princess’s name as the situation started to escalate. Anna then left, not wanting to keep arguing with her sister.
