“Anna hides Grace in her former orphanage while, Sarah and Chito look for Grace in Quezon as Oscar grows more suspicious of them”
Patty was telling Julius that Anna was the one who noticed the bruises on Grace. Julius asked about Anna but was told she went abroad. He was shocked when he learned her full name. He made inquiries about her and even wanted her number, but Patty told him she tried the number and it was out of service.
She thinks Anna is in Hong Kong to pursue her education in ornithology. Anna brought Grace to a house and told her that was the only place she thought they’d be safe. They went in and met an old woman who said she owned it. She introduced herself as Lucy and wanted to know what they were doing at her place.
Anna asked if they could stay in her house, but the woman apologized, saying she was old and couldn’t take care of them as she used to take care of people earlier.(she used to run an orphanage). Grace playfully started massaging her and told her if she let them stay, she’d always give her a massage. The woman agreed to let them stay.
Meanwhile, Julius was making inquiries about Anna’s again from the institution she was given the grant to study Ornithology but was told she had missed her flight because of an emergency. He wanted to know her current whereabouts, but the man told him he didn’t know, and even if he did, he couldn’t share the information because it was confidential.
Grace asked Anna about Miss Lucy’s place and how she got to know about it. Anna replied that it was because the place used to be an orphanage and that was the only safe place she could think of. She told her she used to live in the orphanage before she was adopted. Grace was surprised to learn Anna was adopted and asked why Miss Lucy didn’t remember her.
Anna explained that it was many years ago and she was still very young. Grace was sure Anna had too many playmates and toys when she was a kid. Anna looked on sadly. “Stay positive, Teacher Anna,” Grace said to cheer her up. Chito asked Sarah what she told the police, and she said “nothing.” She told him that Oscar didn’t believe Grace was alive, as he thought Chito had k!lled her.
Chito blamed her for their current situation, believing everything was happening because of the interview. Sarah defended herself, saying she did it because she wanted to find her daughter. They continued arguing about Grace, and Chito told her they needed to find Grace first before the police did, or else they’d be in trouble if she spoke up.
The next day, Sarah and Chito went to the bus station where Chito had seen Grace. Sarah wondered how Grace could know how to ride a bus, but Chito asked her to think about a place Grace might go. They looked at the bus schedule, and Sarah said Grace might be in Quezon since her dad’s relative was there. Unknown to them, Oscar was watching them.
Helena visited the place where Anna had been living but was informed that Anna went abroad to study—a revelation that surprised her. Anna called the institution that had granted her the chance to study ornithology to inform them she needed more time as she was fixing something, and she was granted a one-month extension.
But she was told it would be given to someone else if she didn’t make it. She asked if she could bring her child with her, and the man said she’d need to send the child’s requirements before they could accept her request. She was reminded again that she only had one month to resolve everything.
Julius, who turned out to be Anna’s ex-fiancé, met Helena when he visited Anna’s place. They talked about Anna, and Helena asked if he was still mad at her, but Julius said it was all in the past and he had moved on. He told Helena he was only looking for Anna because of work, as he had some questions to ask about a case they were covering.
Anna asked about the procedures to adopt a child but was told it was a long process, as those adopting would be carefully assessed and must undergo court proceedings to legalize the process. They must also have a large sum of money. When asked why she was inquiring, Anna quickly brushed it off, saying it was nothing.
Sarah and Chito came to Quezon to confirm if Grace was actually there. They were annoyed when they saw Oscar arrive. Chito asked what he was doing there, and Oscar asked what the matter was. “You’re not hiding anything, are you?” he added.
Oscar told them about his confusion because first, Chito was seen chasing Grace at the fish port, then later claimed to have seen her at the bus terminal. He wanted to know what really happened and where Grace was. Chito said they didn’t know, that’s why they came to Quezon to find out if what he saw was true.
Oscar wondered why Grace would come to Quezon. He told Chito that he was the main suspect in Grace’s death and if he failed to prove that Grace was alive, he’d end up in jail. A woman came to them and asked if they were also looking for Miss Teresa. Sarah wanted to know if someone else had also come, to which the woman replied that a child had come with his mom to ask about Teresa.
Sarah showed her Grace’s photo, but the woman said the one who came was a boy with his mother. She told them they left after learning Teresa had passed away.bOscar wanted to know why Sarah and Chito thought Grace would come to a far city like Quezon.
Sarah, fed up with his nonstop questions, told him to stop beating around the bush. He went on to ask them if Grace went missing because she was running away from them. Without answering, they left. The episode ended on Oscar’s face, still convinced Sarah and Chito were hiding something.
