A Secret Romance Develops When Kim Finally Accepts Brandon’s Proposal.
Mr Park asks Robert if Cyrus was really kidnapped when he was a child. Robert glances at Brandon for a moment before he finally admits that he was the one who was kidnapped; he explains that his family had kept the matter a secret in order to protect their privacy and give him time to heal from his trauma.
Meanwhile, Sec. Kim gives Troy an earful for the stunt he had pulled at IdeaEx at her expense. She’s left miserable after the guy hangs up on her. Upon hearing the commotion, Brandon goes to check up on her. Kim apologizes profusely and Brandon assures her that it’s not her fault.
A moment later, Brandon proposes to Kim and she gladly agrees to be his girlfriend. They exchange sweet nothings and a passionate ki$$ before saying their goodbyes. Carlota checks up on Cyrus following the incident at IdeaEx. Cyrus wonders if he had done the right thing by lying.
Carlota justifies it and when he considers forgetting his feelings for Sec. Kim, she urges him not to give up without trying. Meanwhile, Phillip has a talk with Brandon about the recent incidents, asking when he’s going to tell Kim the truth.
Brandon says they should let sleeping dogs lie because he doesn’t want to risk upsetting and triggering her. Cyrus goes to see Kim to apologize for the incident at IdeaEx. He bares his heart to her and asks her on a date and she turns him down.
It then dawns on Cyrus that it’s because of his brother. Robert prepares to go and see Troy and Carlota insists on tagging along. Kim arrives at the office to find Brandon sleeping in the sofa. She tucks him in, only for him to pull her close and snuggle up to her.
Kim admonishes him, reminding him that they’re in the office and someone might see them. She’s taken by surprise to see Brandon’s anxiety pills. Brandon downplays it when Kim asks what the meds are for.
Kim asks if he’s hiding anything from her and he lies to her face. Robert agrees to grant Troy one interview and in exchange, he’ll leave his family alone for good. Steph catches Phillip staring at photos of his ex-wife and he admits that he misses her.
When Steph recounts how miserable he was when they were together, Phillip states that it was because they were too young when they married. He urges her not to rush into any relationship.
Brandon confronts Troy and gives him a piece of his mind for using Kim for his own selfish ambitions.
After reuniting with Kim at the lobby, Brandon takes her on a dinner date where they bond together. Cyrus tells his mother that he had taken her advice but it turns out that Sec. Kim already has a boyfriend.
Carlota asks who it is but he evades the question and asks how the meeting with the nosy reporter had gone. At Prime Alpha, BMC sees Sec. Kim working on both the phone and the computer and he decides to help her reply to the pending emails.
Kim Marie is shocked at the gesture and in no time, she informs the rest of the team and they begin to worry that there’ll be layoffs. Coming upon the scene, Kim clarifies the matter and they begin pestering her to tell them why the boss had helped her.
As Kim nervously tries to react, Brandon shows up with some special snacks for her and Kim quickly corrects him, claiming that it’s for the entire team. Brandon goes along with it and Kim asks to talk to him about something important.
At home, Carlota nags her husband about Kim’s unknown boyfriend. Back at Prime Alpha, Kim tells Brandon that she doesn’t want anyone to know about them just yet so they don’t question her competency. Exasperated, Brandon eventually agrees to her wishes.
On the phone, Kim comes up with a subtle way of seeking Kat’s counsel in her relationship with Brandon. Brandon also talks things out with Phillip. Phillip counsels him, saying that he’ll have his peace of mind if he lets Kim be the boss in their relationship.
Meanwhile, Kat begins to suspect that her sister is the one in the tricky relationship with her boss. Kim denies it pathetically but Kat won’t be fooled. Jordy brings Steph some snacks as a token of his apology for doing nothing wrong. Steph whines about how she had seen him laughing with Maya from marketing.
She accuses him of being a player and Jordy’s reply is that why would he date someone else if the girl he likes doesn’t want to be his girlfriend. Brandon is exasperated when Kim leaves the office with nothing short of a goodbye. He shifts into swag mode, assuring himself that he’s got it.
