All Hell Breaks Loose At The IdeaEx Event Following A Shocking Revelation. Brandon Has An Intimate Moment With Kim.
Steph brings some macaroons to Jordy but meets his absence in the office. When she finds sir Walter there, she claims that she had bought the biscuits for him so that he doesn’t suspect a thing. A moment later, Sarah finds the biscuits on her desk, and she helps herself to them thinking that it’s a gift from Baldo.
She even takes a photo of the parcel and posts it on social media. Walter shows with a cup of coffee and gives Steph a reality check. Brandon visits his parents at home and he’s surprised to find a book Sec. Kim had given his brother. It doesn’t help matters when Carlota insinuates that Cyrus is starting to fall for Kim.
When Cyrus arrives home, Brandon confronts him and when he admits his feelings for Kim, he expresses his utmost disapproval. Cyrus is surprised that his brother also likes Kim. Nevertheless, he makes him an offer – he’s willing to give up Kim in exchange for Brandon’s forgiveness.
Brandon’s reply is an emphatic no. In the meantime, Kim has a nightmare of her traumatic childhood experience and she wakes up with a start. Cyrus sits at a bar staring at his sobriety coin and a glass of drink.
He talks to the bartender about his situation. Brandon asks his therapist for a higher dosage of the meds to deal with his anxiety now that he’s with Sec. Kim. The doctor points out that he needs to be honest with Kim because only the truth will release him from his anxiety.
Brandon recalls how he had been abducted and tied up by the sinister woman in the red heels and it’s evident that he’s really Ninja Boy. At present, Brandon states that he fears telling Kim the truth because it could cause her to remember and make her as miserable as himself.
Doc says they can’t predict how Kim will react but Brandon isn’t ready to risk it. Team Bida Best makes the necessary arrangements for the IdeaEx event. Sec. Kim is assigned to Cyrus on Mrs. Castillo’s orders. Upon Cyrus’ arrival, he asks Kim about the excerpt he wrote and she commends it.
As Cyrus tries to tell her something important, Brandon comes upon the scene. Mr. and Mrs. Castillo greet some guests and introduce their eldest son. In no time, Cyrus reads out his new novel excerpt. Iñigo the host asks if the girl he talked about is his girlfriend and Cyrus says she’s someone special to him.
Everyone is taken by surprise when Iñigo brings up the kidnapping incident, asking if he was really kidnapped. The fans second him, eager for an answer. Through the earpiece, Walter tells Iñigo to stick to the script only for the guy to remove the device and reaffirm his question.
Eventually, Cyrus is compelled to answer, even revealing that the girl he was kidnapped with is among them. Brandon storms off as the crowd encourages his brother to reveal her identity. Upset, Carlota tries to go and end the interview but Walter and the others hold her back so she doesn’t make a scene.
Kim follows Brandon and tells him that she had rejected his courtship before not because of Cyrus but because she wasn’t sure how she felt then. Brandon brings up Ninja Boy and she says he doesn’t matter because he’s the one she’s choosing.
As she turns to leave, Brandon pulls her back and they share their first ki$$. And then another. A phone call from Phillip ruins the moment. Fortunately, Cyrus manages to find a way to end the interview without revealing anything else.
A moment later, Brandon argues with his brother over the incident earlier. Cyrus laments, saying that he was only trying to protect him and the company. Brandon scoffs at him and declares that he doesn’t need his protection. Carlota intervenes before things can escalate.
The Castillos confront the host over the stunt he had pulled, threatening to file a defamation case against him. Iñigo cowers and admits that it was Troy the reporter who had cornered him into asking those questions. Kim looks on in disbelief for a moment before slipping away.
