BMC Is Distressed Over Cyrus’ Connection With Sec. Kim. Cyrus Strives To Get Through To His Brother.
Kim tells sir Phillip that he was right about what he said regarding the kidnapping, and that it was sir Cyrus and not Brandon whom she had been kidnapped with. She urges him to keep the matter between them. A moment later, Kim tells BMC that she’ll be going on a lunch date with his brother because he’s Ninja Boy.
Brandon is taken by surprise and when she asks if he didn’t know anything about the kidnapping, he claims that he was too young to remember anything back then. After Kim leaves his office, Brandon tries to calm himself down. He makes a pretty pathetic attempt to delay Kim from leaving.
Eventually, Kim receives a phone call and he follows her out but then Philipp intervenes. Kim meets Cyrus at the lobby and ushers her into his car and Phillip covers Brandon’s eyes so he doesn’t see the scene. After they leave, Brandon stalks back inside and grudgingly bans Phillip from entering the building.
Sarah asks Roni if he’s on a tight budget since she’s noticed that he’s been skipping his meals. Roni claims he’s doing intermittent fasting and when Kim Marie passes a grudging comment, he tries to make himself sound more believable. Kim shows Cyrus the clues she had written and drawn to help him remember.
However, when he’s unable to do so, she suggests that they should go back to the crime scene and see if it’ll jog up his memory. Apparently, she had forgotten almost everything upon her return home to find her mother gone.
Kim is glad when Cyrus agrees to go to the crime scene with her so they can remember and get some closure. Without warning, Brandon suddenly shows up to talk to Cyrus. He takes him outside and demands for him to stop encouraging Sec. Kim to remember because she’ll only get hurt.
Cyrus argues his case, stating that he doesn’t have the right to dictate Kim’s personal life. The Castillo brothers exchange a few more choice words and eventually, they agree to settle the matter by a matchup – if Cyrus wins, Brandon will have to listen to him but if he loses, he’ll leave for good.
Kim comes over as they shake hands on it. At home, Kim talks to her sisters on video call regarding the Castillo brothers and Cyrus being Ninja Boy. They ask if she’s disappointed that it wasn’t her boss and she brushes it off.
Brandon competes with Cyrus in a wall climbing match with Phillip serving as referee. Kim displays her obvious concern for both brothers as the game picks up pace. Cyrus takes the lead after Brandon slips and he scoffs at him as he struggles to catch up.
Brandon eventually throws in the towel after injuring his hand and after he drops down Kim is all over him showing her concern. BMC takes his leave after asking Phillip to give Sec. Kim a ride home.
Kim worries about the brothers and Phillip assures her that they’ll sort out their differences. In the meantime, Brandon resolves to meet his brother at the place they had their last memory together. He apologizes profusely for bullying him in their childhood.
Brandon tries to cut him off but Cyrus persists and strives to get through to him. Brandon relates with him, saying that he knows how he feels, and that the hardest part is learning to forgive oneself. He notes that maybe they don’t deserve to be forgiven.
Kim strives to type an appropriate message to her boss to check up on him. Robert asks Cyrus how things had gone with his brother and he states that he had tried and the rest is up to him. Cyrus drops his sobriety coin and his father picks it up and hands it to him, saying that they’ve both suffered enough.
Kim receives an apology text from Cyrus and a grudging approval from her boss to give her half the day off tomorrow. Meanwhile, Brandon talks to Phillip and insinuates that it’s high time his supposed cousin asks out the girl he likes. The next day at the office, Kim leaves Marie in charge to take care of her business.
As the team discuss a surprise farewell party for Sec. Kim, BMC arrives and asks for a memo he needs to read. Marie reminds him that they’ve gone paperless now. Cyrus takes Kim to the exact location of the crime scene which turns out to be the amusement park Brandon had taken her to before. Kim reflects on her memories with her boss that night.
In the meantime, BMC is shown a couple of graphic designs for IdeaEx and he acts out and expresses his utmost dislike for all of them because they bear his brother’s face. After the marketing team leave, Phillip teases Brandon, saying that he’s jealous.
Brandon denies it of course and in such a pathetic way. Back at the park, Kim learns of how the Castillos had bought the entire land to erase what had happened. Cyrus is surprised to find out that she used to live there, right where the carousel stands.
Kim wonders why she still can’t remember anything and Cyrus points out that it’s probably because the place looks totally different now. Suddenly, Kim receives a phone call from BMC, telling her that she needs to return to the office because they have an emergency. Read Next Episode on What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim Episode 10
