Kim Learns of the Origin of Brandon’s Resentment Towards His Brother. BMC Reconciles With Sec. Kim.
Brandon tells the manager to cancel everything he had arranged. Cyrus approaches him, asking if the place is still special to him like it is for him. This sparks a flashback from their childhood. At present, Cyrus laments over how he wronged him and Brandon says he should go and say that to his bully friends.
Still, Cyrus apologizes for what he did but his brother walks out on him all the same. BMC catches up to Kim outside and she assures him that everything is set to find a substitute guest speaker for IdeaEx. As Brandon tries to usher her to his car, Kim boards a cab and snubs him as he calls out to her.
At home, Kim talks to her sisters about the recent incident with the Castillo brothers and how BMC had gotten upset with her. Suspecting that her boss is trying to gaslight her, Kla urges Kim not to let him stress her out. Kim decides not to apologize because she hadn’t done anything wrong.
In the meantime, Brandon talks to Phillip about his falling out with Sec. Kim. Phillip urges him to apologize to her whether it was her fault or not but Brandon refuses to budge, insisting that he had done nothing wrong. The next morning, Kim wakes up to an apology email from Cyrus.
At the office, Marie gives Kim the list of replacements for the guest speaker. BMC arrives and heads to his office after exchanging greetings with them. Carlota tells Robert to spend more time with Cyrus, saying that it’ll be easier for Brandon to reconcile with him if he sees that they’re okay.
She urges him to have a little faith in him because he’s trying to make amends. Robert laments over how Cyrus had disappointed him countless times, adding that she can’t blame him if he can’t believe him now. Determined to prove that Roni has only one shirt, Kim Marie stains the back of his shirt with a marker thanks to a distraction from Steph.
Troy meets up with a contact of his for information on the other child who had been kidnapped alongside Liwanag. Meanwhile, Sec. Kim is surprised when Walter tells her that BMC has decided to go along with Morpheus as their guest speaker.
Kim goes to update the boss on some matters and when she asks why he had changed his mind about Cyrus, Brandon states that he doesn’t need to explain himself because he’s her boss. Kim then tells him to stop with the mixed signals he’s been giving her and to keep their relationship strictly professional so as to avoid confusion.
Later, Brandon talks to Phillip about Sec. Kim and he urges him to apologize to her like he did the last time. Brandon can’t seem to figure out how to go about it this time. In the meantime, Cyrus thanks Sec. Kim for agreeing to hear him out.
He goes on about how he had made Brandon’s childhood miserable by bullying him along with his friends out of jealousy. Cyrus worries that he and Robert would never forgive him. He laments over how he had felt abandoned all those 8 years away in Europe and almost died of intoxication.
He asks for Kim’s help to make amends with Brandon and she urges him to apologize to him personally. When Kim returns to the office, BMC finally apologizes to her and she does the same. Kim arrives home to find her father waiting for her. Felix updates her on Troy’s search for Ninja Boy.
Kim recounts how he had taken care of her and protected her and Felix consoles her as she breaks down from the ordeal. In the meantime, Brandon suffers another nightmare and wakes up with a start. News of the real identity of Morpheus begins to trend in Prime Alpha and Kim confirms it.
She wonders who had leaked the information and Sarah figures that Steph is the culprit. As the team questions Steph, she argues that her expose has hyped IdeaEx. BMC shows up and commends her much to everyone’s surprise. Later, Sec. Kim updates the boss on the preparations for the event.
Brandon stares at her intensely and insinuates that he doesn’t want boundaries between them. He invades Kim’s personal space and Kim braces herself as he tries to ki$$ her. Ironically, BMC ends up pushing her chair away and he looks on in disbelief as Kim gazes back annoyed.
He tries to apologize but she brushes him off and leaves abruptly. Later, Brandon tries to type an apology text but he backs out and merely sends one thanking Kim for taking care of the changes in their marketing plan despite the last minute developments.
He’s exasperated when Kim merely replies with a thumbs up emoji. BMC then sends an audio message, hoping that they can talk about what happened earlier. Still somewhat upset, Kim replies asking what happened earlier, leaving Brandon frustrated. Read Next Episode on What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim Episode 8
