Tejas recalls going to the restaurant to get a job. The manager explains the work to him. Tejas worries upon hearing it’s a 12-hour shift. The manager asks if he wants the job or not. Tejas says he will do the waiter’s job and asks about the salary. The man says they will discuss salary after 4 days if they like his work. He adds that Tejas looks educated, and they don’t usually hire educated people. He asks for Tejas’ qualification.
Tejas says he is 10th pass. The man asks him to join the job that same day. Flashback ends. Sachin and Sayali ask Tejas about the job. Roshni questions why they are asking him. Sayali argues. Renu scolds Sayali and asks how she dares talk like that. Tejas thinks he needs to stay careful of Sachin. The argument continues. Renu sends Sayali and Sachin away.
Tejas doesn’t explain clearly about the job. He says it’s technical and involves dealing with customers. Roshni says it sounds like a customer relationship type of job. Tejas agrees. He feels sad. He gives sweets to Renu and leaves. Roshni hugs Tejas and says she is very happy. She asks what company he joined and what his designation is. He replies that it’s not a big company and he took the job for her sake. She thanks him. He assures her that he is not cheating her and asks her to trust him. She says she does.
He asks her not to ask anything about the job again, saying it’s not a good job but he’s doing it for her sake. She thanks and hugs him. Sayali is at her store talking to a lady customer. The lady asks her about her mangalsutra. Sayali recalls Renu’s words. Paresh looks on.The lady asks if Renu took her jewellery. Sayali covers up and says Renu is nice and caring, and she kept her like a daughter. The lady asks where the jewellery went.
Sayali says she gave the mangalsutra for repair and didn’t wear bangles because she’s at the store, and she kept them at home. The lady asks her to take care and leaves. Renu comes to Sayali and tells her to make breakfast. The lady sees Renu scolding Sayali. Sayali sees Paresh and asks if she should make tea for him. Paresh says no and tells her to finish her work first. He leaves. The lady returns and says Renu is treating Sayali badly. Paresh overhears them. Sayali defends Renu. The lady leaves.
Paresh tells Renu that she shouted at Sayali. Renu asks what she should do and who will do the household work. Paresh says the other two bahus are there, and she can also cook. He accuses her of insulting Sayali, who is protecting her dignity in front of others. Renu argues. Paresh tells her everything he heard. Sayali walks in and overhears them. Paresh asks Renu to return the jewellery to Sayali. Renu says she didn’t snatch it, that Sayali gave it on her own, and that she’s doing drama to defame her. She speaks against Sayali.
Paresh asks her to stop. Renu shouts that Sayali is insulting her by putting up a stall in her name. She compares Sayali with Roshni, who owns a big parlour, and Riya, who works in TV serials. Paresh tells Renu again to return the jewellery. Sayali says no, she will wear the jewellery her husband gets for her. Paresh says he saw what happened outside and asks what she will say if people ask her.
Sayali says she doesn’t care about their words. Sachin enters and hears them. Sayali says she is from a poor family, but that doesn’t mean only rich people have self-esteem. Renu says she is taunting her. Sachin says she’s speaking to her face. Paresh asks Sayali to wear the mangalsutra. Sayali refuses, saying Sachin promised to get her a new one, and it’s about his pride. Renu mocks and belittles Sachin.
