Anirudh drops Brij and Jhanak. Brij asks Anirudh to come inside. Jhanak asks why he wants to invite problems. He tells her not to think too much and asks her to go and make tea. She goes. Brij defends Jhanak and says Anirudh will also have pressure from Arshi. Anirudh replies that although he has a lot of pressure, he will still stand by Jhanak.
Brij tells him he’s proud of his courage and invites him in. Lalon comes home looking sad. Appu asks what happened and if he is fine. Anuradha also asks. Lalon says nothing at first, but then cries and reveals that the contractor has run away with the money. Brij tells Anirudh he has something important to say.
Anirudh asks him to go ahead. Brij says he trusts Anirudh and that Jhanak’s life is complicated, which is partly his fault. He couldn’t do anything for her when she was left alone, but Anirudh stood by her. Jhanak brings tea. Brij says he doesn’t know how long he will live and requests Anirudh to always support Jhanak.
Jhanak asks Brij not to talk like that and insists that it’s risky to stay there and they should go away. Brij explains that Anirudh is her true well-wisher, he loves her and will always protect her. He says he won’t ask Anirudh to break his family and marry Jhanak, but even friendship is a relationship, and asks if he can at least be there as her friend.
Anirudh says Brij’s life has just started, and he must train Jhanak to become the best dancer. He assures Brij that he will always support her, even if she gets angry and walks away. She argues. Brij says Shrishti will never accept Jhanak as her daughter.
Anirudh asks how Brij recorded her statement. Brij reveals that Vinayak helped him and fixed a meeting with Shrishti, and he went in disguise as Kul, which fooled her. Jhanak expresses her frustration at bad people living happily while good people like her and her mother suffer. She says she’s scared and doesn’t want Brij to leave her.
Brij tells her that he’s old and will eventually have to go, but Anirudh will take care of her. She says not to trust anyone, especially a married man, and that she won’t let Anirudh take care of her. Brij insists that there’s no one else, and he trusts Anirudh completely.
Anirudh says that he and Jhanak have an unseen bond that can’t be broken. He admits that Jhanak loves him, and he loves her a lot, even though she won’t admit it openly. Brij smiles. Anirudh says nothing can break their bond. Jhanak tells him it’s late and he should go home. He says he won’t go, even if he’s insulted. Brij tells Anirudh he has earned his trust.
Anirudh says he’ll leave now. Jhanak thinks she’s hurting him to push him away. Brij asks him to have tea. Anirudh drinks it. Brij says both of them are hurting, and tells Anirudh to forgive her because he knows her real side. Shubh is upset over being insulted. Arshi says she feels the same. He says Anirudh met the witness and now he is facing humiliation.
Arshi says Anirudh wants to protect Jhanak at all costs. Dadi says she never thought Anirudh would stand against his father and tells them to forget it.
Anjana argues with Lal. Bablu and Choton ask her to let it go. Tanuja insults them. Dadi says she understands Anirudh is in a dilemma and taunts those supporting Jhanak. They all argue. Shubh says he has no option left but to disown Anirudh.
Anirudh comes and asks why children don’t have the right to disown their parents. Shubh scolds him and says he disowns him. Dadi and Tanuja try to stop Anirudh. Anirudh says his father shouldn’t do things that embarrass him. Anjana says they believe she is provoking him against his parents. He asks what she means. Bablu says the family doesn’t realize what they’re doing. Arshi questions if Anirudh realizes what he is doing.
She says it’s difficult to stay with him, and he always finds a reason to bring Jhanak home. Anirudh replies that his dad deserves this insult for doing wrong, and he is only supporting the truth. Shubh argues further. Anirudh accuses Shubh of bribing a woman to act as a fake witness. He says this will be proven in the next hearing and that he knew she was overacting in court.
Shubh asks if he wants to support the opposition lawyer. Lal tells Anirudh not to insult Shubh. Anirudh says he is just doing what they do insulting parents when it’s convenient. He says they only support their parents for their own benefit and hopes they genuinely love them. Arshi argues again. Anirudh shouts that he is standing for truth and justice, and nothing is more important to him. He taunts her about Shrishti.
Tanuja and Shubh defend Arshi. Anirudh says Arshi is facing embarrassment because of Shrishti. Arshi says it’s not proven yet. Anirudh says the judge will decide soon, and the case will end. He says they are blind to the truth and that even he is ashamed of his father’s actions. He declares that he might leave the house.
Dadi tells him to calm down and have food. Choton and Bablu also try to convince him. Shubh refuses to eat with Anirudh. Anjana pleads with him to calm down. Shubh accuses Anjana of poisoning Anirudh’s mind. Anjana cries and scolds him. Tanuja taunts Choton. Choton tells her to say something nice for once and accuses her of always insulting him.
Dadi tells everyone to stop and says she is still the head of the family and should be respected. Shubh says the truth won’t change. Anirudh says he will eat later. Arshi angrily tells him to go to hell and asks if he even wants to be with her. Anirudh turns the question back to her, saying that if she wants to be with him, she must change. He says he cannot support her blindly and will always choose the truth and justice.
