Anirudh talks to Aditya. He says that the Guru ji in the ashram looked like Brij Bhushan, but he wasn’t Brij. Aditya says Brij is coming to Kolkata tomorrow. He adds that he thought of going to Mumbai because he heard about a performer named Nutan and Brij will be there. He suggests they go together. Anirudh agrees.
The pandit instructs everyone. Appu cries for Jhanak and Anjana consoles her. Aditya says he knows Anirudh doesn’t want to see anyone on the stage, but they should go and face Brij. Anirudh says their plan failed. Aditya agrees but insists they should go and tell Brij they know the truth—that he is Jhanak’s real father. He reminds Anirudh of their responsibility. He asks if Anirudh has Urvashi’s letter. Anirudh says yes, but worries that if Brij Bhushan denies the truth, Urvashi isn’t alive to prove it and they wouldn’t be able to do anything for Jhanak.
Aditya insists on exposing Brij and convinces Anirudh to come out. The pandit asks for Jhanak’s name and Gotra. Dadi says she doesn’t know. Arshi says she will call Mama ji to ask. Anirudh comes in and says there’s no need. He sees Jhanak’s picture and recalls their marriage. Paas aaye… plays. Appu hugs Anirudh and cries.
Brij Bhushan meets a lady and introduces Jhanak as Nutan. He asks the lady to groom her well. Pandit ji says they want her decked up so that no one can identify her. Shubh asks if they know her Gotra. Anirudh says Gautam Gotra. Shubh is shocked and says that’s their Gotra. Anirudh says Jhanak and he were married.
Bipasha tells Arshi not to worry, saying Anirudh will return to her soon. Meenakshi asks Appu to sing a song for Jhanak one last time. Appu sings, recalling Jhanak, and cries. Anirudh hugs her.
The lady praises Brij Bhushan, saying no one knows where the truth of life is hidden and even Guru ji’s life has a hidden truth. She tells Jhanak she will be surprised.
Jhanak says she doesn’t want surprises, only answers. Brij promises she will get her answers tomorrow and finally know who her father is. She mentions there is a program tomorrow. Pandit confirms it. Kajal visits Anuradha and says she got promoted at school and has a lot of work. She tries to leave, but Jhimli asks her to sit. Kajal checks the newspaper and shows Nutan’s picture, asking them to look carefully.
Anuradha returns home with Appu and Lalon. Appu says it’s her fault, she should have stopped Jhanak. Anuradha asks her not to cry too much or she will fall ill. Appu begs her to bring Jhanak back. Lalon says he is trying. Pandit ji says Brij will keep his promise and when Jhanak meets her father, her questions will be answered.
Jhanak says her mother never wanted her to know anything about her father. The lady says Brij has lost everything, but she is happy to see him now. Brij says he wants to present Nutan in a good way. Kajal tells Appu she understands what Jhanak meant to her and how shocking it must be that she left. She reassures her that everything will be fine. She shows Nutan’s photo to Appu.
Appu says this girl looks like Jhanak—she is Jhanak, she’s a dancer, and insists they all go and see the show. Anuradha asks her to take her medicine and eat. Appu thanks Kajal. Kajal says she’s her friend and wants to help. She sees Lalon and leaves. Brij asks the lady to get Nutan ready. Jhanak reminds him of his promise to tell her the truth. Brij says yes, she will meet her father.
