Dilip tells someone that he is doing a part-time job and will bring money home. The person advises him to focus on his studies instead of working. She assures him that she will be there and prays for Sachin. Dilip leaves. Meanwhile, Sachin is on his way when a man named Dheeraj stops him and asks for help.
Dheeraj tells him about a job as a security guard, where the person would also have to wash cars and run errands for society members, earning ₹40,000 per month. Sachin expresses his interest in the job. Dheeraj questions why he wants to do such work. Sachin explains that he had to sell his taxi due to a family emergency and needs a job.
He adds that no work is too big or small and promises to work sincerely. Impressed, Dheeraj takes Sachin along. Elsewhere, Dilip thanks Chitti for giving him money. Chitti asks him to keep the bangles with him. Sayali arrives and asks if he got the money. He confirms and hands it to her. She inquires about the loan interest, and he tells her it’s the usual rate.
When she asks for the receipt, he assures her he has it and tells her to keep it. Sayali tells him she will pay for the bangles later but insists that he not mention anything at home. Dheeraj takes Sachin to the apartment complex, and Sachin is amazed at how big it is. Dheeraj prepares to introduce him to the secretary but gets a call. The secretary arrives and, trusting Dheeraj’s word, agrees to hire Sachin.
Sachin assures the secretary that he will work diligently. He is asked to start work immediately by washing a car. Sachin recalls Renu’s words and gets to work, finishing in ten minutes. The man takes the keys and leaves. The secretary praises Sachin’s work and tells him that his accounts will start that day. He instructs Sachin to report to work at 5 AM, as residents leave for their offices by 8 AM. Sachin agrees.
The next morning, Sachin is busy with work when Dheeraj offers him food. Sachin refuses, saying he will eat later and thanks him for the job, as he desperately needed it. Dheeraj insists he eat first. Sachin then goes to a roadside stall to have dosa. While eating, he checks the newspaper and sees an article about a wanted criminal, Ranga, who is still at large.
Just then, Ranga is seen running on the road, being chased by the police. Sachin spots Sayali approaching and quickly hides his face, fearing she will argue with him again if she learns about his job. As he observes Ranga running, he recognizes him. Suddenly, the police shoot, and Ranga falls near the stall. Sayali also sees what’s happening.
Ranga picks up a knife and grabs Sayali, holding her hostage. Sachin sees this and yells in alarm, but the inspector stops him. Sayali calls out to Sachin, who, in a panic, shouts that she is his wife and pleads with Ranga to release her. Ranga uses Sayali as a shield and threatens the police. The inspector urges Ranga to surrender and assures him that they will handle the matter peacefully.
Ranga demands the guard’s keys while the inspector tries to keep the situation under control.
The senior officer is informed to send backup. Sayali begs Ranga to let her go, but he refuses. Sachin and the police follow them into the apartment. Sachin desperately asks the inspector to save Sayali, but a constable holds him back, saying the police will manage it. The inspector orders the building to be evacuated and the lifts to be stopped.
Sachin, distressed, insists that his wife is in danger. The constable tells him to stay put while the police handle it. Meanwhile, Ranga takes Sayali’s phone from her purse and makes demands for ₹10 lakhs in cash and a police jeep. Sachin helplessly watches from below. Sayali, standing on the terrace, reassures Sachin that she trusts him more than herself.
He tells her not to look down. Ranga takes the call and repeats his demands to the inspector. Sachin angrily rebukes him. The inspector agrees to Ranga’s conditions. Sachin then seeks help from the guard, who informs him about an emergency exit. Grateful, Sachin rushes towards it.
At the same time, Paresh watches the news. Kishor calls him, and he steps away to talk before returning to the news. Renu offers him tea and switches off the TV. Back at the apartment, Sayali starts feeling dizzy. Sachin breaks open the emergency exit door and rushes up the stairs, as the lift is disabled. On the terrace, Ranga pressures the inspector, threatening to throw Sayali down. Just then, Sachin reaches the terrace and warns Ranga not to touch Sayali.
Ranga tries to scare them, but Sachin recalls Sayali’s words and offers himself in her place. Ranga refuses to listen and prepares to throw Sayali off the terrace. The inspector arrives and informs Ranga that his demands have been met. He throws a bag containing the ₹10 lakhs. Ranga, suspicious, asks to see the money. The constable has placed only one real money bundle inside while the rest are fake.
As Ranga gets distracted checking the cash, Sachin takes the opportunity to hit him with a box, pulling Sayali away. A fight breaks out between Sachin and Ranga. Sayali urges Sachin to leave Ranga alone, but Sachin furiously says that if Ranga had harmed her, his entire family would have been shattered. Sayali is touched by his words. Sachin continues to beat Ranga until the police intervene.
However, Ranga manages to grab the inspector’s gun and points it at them. Thinking fast, Sayali picks up a tire lying nearby and throws it at Ranga’s hand, causing him to drop the gun. The inspector quickly retrieves the gun and arrests Ranga. Sayali runs to Sachin and hugs him. The song Hamdard Hai plays as they share a heartfelt moment, smiling at each other.
