Jhanak says that Appu would never say such a thing. She explains that a mother’s efforts for her child can never be repaid, and it is her right to raise her voice against this rasam. She believes it to be a bad omen, but ultimately, it is up to them whether they choose to accept it.
Dadi instructs Anjana to ask Appu to throw the rice backward. However, Anirudh intervenes, saying that he does not want Appu to do this. Appu refuses, agreeing with Jhanak, and questions how she could ever repay her mother’s efforts. She cries, expressing how much she will miss Anjana and how Anjana will miss her too.
Anjana reassures her, saying she no longer needs to endure insults and wishes her happiness. Lalon urges everyone not to cry. Anuradha announces that they will now go home, mentioning that Kajal has already gone ahead to make arrangements as everyone is waiting for their new bahu. Anjana asks Appu to keep visiting them. Bablu asks if this is truly their home and whether they can guarantee that they won’t face insults here. He states that if they had their own house, they would have invited them with respect.
Anirudh assures him that he loves Appu dearly and will ensure they receive the respect they deserve in this house. Anuradha simply wishes for Lalon and Appu’s happiness and expresses her inability to visit due to household responsibilities. Appu hugs everyone and cries, while Anirudh hugs Lalon before they leave.
Meanwhile, Aditya calls Jhanak. Anirudh watches, thinking to himself that Aditya is still calling her. Jhanak consoles Anjana before answering the call. Aditya expresses concern, noting that she hasn’t called him. She explains that she has been busy with Appu’s wedding. He asks when she will return, and she replies that it will take another two to four days. He insists she come back the next day, as a film producer has announced the shooting date.
Aditya informs her that he has already booked her ticket. She questions why he did that, saying she will pay him back. He tells her not to worry about it and urges her to return to Mumbai, saying the city feels dark without her. Anirudh consoles Bablu, who is in tears, praising Appu. Anirudh then informs Choton about Appu’s departure.
Meanwhile, Aditya reassures Jhanak that he didn’t want to put her in an embarrassing situation. Jhanak, exhausted, tells him that Appu has left and asks for the ticket details. He asks her to check the information herself. She agrees and says she will take a cab and come, insisting he doesn’t need to pick her up. He responds that he will decide, adding that he might come to the airport anyway. He then asks if her work is done.
Jhanak firmly replies that she will fight until her last breath and will not let her baby’s identity be taken away unjustly. At that moment, Anirudh walks in. She abruptly ends the call, telling Aditya they will discuss it later. Aditya agrees and hangs up. Anirudh, now angry, questions her. They begin to argue, and she asks how much longer he will continue to misbehave with her.
He accuses her of moving on with her life but questions why she took the next step that night. He sarcastically comments on her imagination skills, suggesting she become a writer since she can create such vivid stories. Jhanak firmly responds that she can write the truth—and that his name would be included in it.
Anirudh mockingly agrees, then continues his accusation. He reminds her that, despite everything, she is living with Aditya in his house while expecting him to take responsibility for the baby. He calls her clever for doing so. He also mentions how he fought for her and supported her career, while his relationship with Arshi remains strained—because of her.
Jhanak coldly replies that she had heard such words from many people before, and now even he has joined them. She states that it doesn’t change the truth. She never asked for anything except the rights of her child—his name. Anirudh, filled with frustration, says that he hates her. He admits that Arshi is not perfect, but at least she is not as bad as Jhanak.
Jhanak looks at him and says that one day, he will regret everything. He will come to her and apologize, and she will forgive him. However, she warns that while she may forgive, God will not. She declares that he has insulted a woman, and while she may leave him alone, the divine justice will not spare him. She concludes by saying that one day, he will have to pay for his deeds—before thanking him and walking away.
