Anupama receives the contract letter. She stops the courier guy and gives him sweets. He takes it and thanks her. Anuj tells her that while she had lost hope, he had not. He says, “I am here only; you sit and read.” Anupama asks him to read it instead, as it is written in complicated English. Anuj reads it while everyone watches them.
Nandita remarks that if Anupama and Anuj love each other so much, then why don’t they marry? Anupama responds that since Anuj has read it and Mr. Mehta’s son prepared the contract, it must be correct. However, Anuj stops her, reminding her that he once trusted someone and suffered for it.
He tells her that while he has read the contract, she has not, and insists that she read it before signing. He then leaves. Anupama, determined to relieve Anuj of all his pain, calls someone. Meanwhile, Aadhya comes to Anuj and expresses happiness, seeing him wait for Anupama with the same intensity as his love for her.
She reassures him that her “Pops” is trying to convince Anupama, but she is hesitant because she had hurt them before and is now burdened with responsibilities. Aadhya hugs him, and Anuj says he can do anything for Anupama. Later, Anupama reads the papers while Anuj watches her. She feels shy and smiles.
Meanwhile, Sagar wonders where Baa and Dolly aunty took Meenu, as he couldn’t follow them too far. Toshu and Pakhi arrive, dancing to a song, while Dolly, Baa, and Meenu enter with a somber Meenu. Dolly announces that she has arranged Meenu’s marriage. Baa adds that the groom is a doctor from a wealthy family. Dimpy is delighted, while Sagar is shocked.
Anupama asks Meenu if someone forced her into this marriage. Meenu replies that it was her decision and states that she has realized that she and Sagar are not suitable for each other. Dolly warns everyone not to provoke her daughter.
Anupama questions Meenu, asking what happened that made her agree to marry a stranger. Meenu insists that she is doing this for herself and does not owe anyone an explanation. Anupama asks her to come and pack her things.
Toshu says that the groom’s house is big and wants them to stay there. Pakhi excitedly adds that they will live there peacefully. Baa, however, declares that she will stay behind. As they prepare for packing, Anupama asks Baa what is going on, but Baa remains silent. Meanwhile, Sagar cries bitterly. Anupama prays to God as Meenu, too, cries in guilt.
Baa and Babu Ji argue over Meenu and Sagar. Baa worries that if Dolly gets upset, she might leave. Anupama remains concerned, while Anuj reassures her to trust God. Toshu and Pakhi, thrilled about staying in a luxurious house, discuss their ambitions. Toshu hopes the family will invest in his startup, while Pakhi is more interested in making rich friends and partying.
Just then, Nandita informs them that Sagar is missing. The family searches for him. Meanwhile, Dolly calls Meenu and asks her to come along. Dimpy goes to fetch her but returns, shocked, to report that Meenu is missing from her room.
Pakhi speculates that Meenu might have eloped with Sagar. Dolly, furious, turns to Anupama and accuses her of orchestrating their elopement. Anuj intervenes, warning Dolly not to misbehave with Anupama and reminding everyone that they are already worried about Sagar. Baa demands that Anupama reveal Meenu’s whereabouts. Dolly screams, “Where is my daughter?”
Just then, Meenu and Sagar arrive, revealing that they are married. The family is shocked. Meenu explains that they had no other choice, while Sagar adds that they had to marry in secret. Toshu throws a glass at Sagar in anger, but Meenu catches it and throws it back at Toshu, warning him not to misbehave with her husband. Sagar also declares that he will not tolerate anyone insulting his wife.
Toshu mocks them, suggesting they leave in Sagar’s auto-rickshaw. Dolly demands that Meenu remove her garland, sindoor, and mangalsutra. Baa argues that a marriage without family consent is invalid.
Dolly angrily removes Meenu’s garland and attempts to wipe off her sindoor, but Anupama intervenes, calling it a sin. She tells Dolly to scold them but not to erase Meenu’s sindoor. Anupama also stops Toshu and Pakhi from speaking, reminding them that they, too, had eloped to get married.
Meenu tearfully argues that they were left with no choice. She questions why Dolly fixed her marriage without even asking her opinion. She insists that they had wanted to marry with everyone’s blessings, but her family left them no option.
Baa scolds Meenu for blaming her mother. Meenu refuses to back down. Dolly, devastated, blames Anupama and Anuj for setting a bad example. She claims that Meenu and Sagar weren’t influenced by their relationship. Aadhya and Pakhi get into an argument. Aadhya taunts Pakhi, reminding her that she had to wash utensils at a hotel.
Furious, Pakhi raises her hand to slap Aadhya, but Anuj stops her, warning her not to lay a hand on a child. He then advises Aadhya not to interfere in adult matters. Sagar then asks Anupama if she will welcome Meenu as her daughter-in-law. Meenu also asks if she believes they did something wrong.
Anupama replies that love is not wrong, but eloping was. She tells them that while Dolly may have forced her decision on Meenu, Meenu has now done the same to her mother. She reminds Meenu that her mother’s actions were out of love and concern, not hatred. She tells Sagar and Meenu that every mother worries for her daughter, and Dolly is not their enemy. Sagar tries to reason with Anupama, calling her “Anudi,” but Anupama stops him.
