Jhanak thinks about reliving an old moment. Anirudh reflects that Appu will have her family, something not everyone is fortunate to have. Jhanak, however, believes the past is gone and will never return. She goes to buy a necklace, and Anirudh coincidentally arrives at the same store.
He recalls the false accusations Jhanak made against him, blaming him for someone else’s child. He thinks that if she had told the truth, he would have helped her. Still, he decides to hold onto their memories. Jhanak tells the jeweler that there is no budget issue and asks for the best designs. She and Anirudh notice each other and try to avoid eye contact.
Anirudh stops Jhanak, and they start arguing. He insists that she can’t prove anything, while she scolds him for trying to defame her. She calls him a coward who refuses to take responsibility for his actions before walking away. Meanwhile, Lalon gets ready as the groom and hugs Anuradha. She asks about Kajal, and Chimli informs her that Kajal hasn’t arrived.
Jhanak buys the necklace for Appu. Tanuja questions how she managed to afford it, leading to an argument. Appu admires the necklace and calls out to Anjana. Anjana asks Appu if she’s feeling hungry and offers to bring food. Appu declines, saying she won’t eat rice today because it would bring bad luck for Lalon. She insists that she won’t eat, even if she feels weak, and will only eat after the wedding. She excitedly shows the necklace to Anjana.
Rumi comments that Appu’s fate has improved. Anjana sees it as a good thing and suggests Rumi should be happy for her elder sister. However, Rumi clarifies that she wasn’t referring to the wedding but rather the expensive gift. Jhanak humbly states that she doesn’t have the means to buy a costly gift, but Appu is precious to her.Meanwhile, Lalon calls Kajal, urging her to come to the wedding. Kajal refuses, and when Lalon asks if she is upset with him, she denies it.
She tells him that she has no right to be angry and reminds him that his bride is waiting. She urges him to go and not worry about her. Lalon, however, insists that he is concerned about her, as Chimli and their mother love her dearly. He reminds her that they have grown up together since childhood. Kajal responds that he would have attended her wedding, but she cannot attend his.
Back at home, Rumi taunts Jhanak about her savings, suggesting that she has quickly trapped Aditya Kapoor. She accuses Jhanak of living in Aditya’s house.Jhanak angrily tells her to shut up.Tanuja intervenes, scolding Jhanak for speaking that way. Jhanak retorts, asking her to look at how her own daughter is talking to her. Tanuja snaps back, saying they have heard plenty of things about Jhanak. Furious, Jhanak loses her temper.
