Anupama tells Anuj that she might have committed some sins in her past life, which she now has to compensate for. She says that no matter what she does, everyone has a problem with her. She tried to do good for everyone, but they saw her as a villain. She reminds Anuj that Meenu is her niece, but from the moment she was born, Dolly handed her over, and she raised her as her own daughter.
Meenu calls Sagar “Samar” at times and loves him deeply. Even when he goes to buy a shirt, he calls Anupama to ask for her opinion, but he chose a girl for himself without informing her, and that too, Meenu, who is very dear to her. She says Bala Kaka and Anuj never told her anything, and she was foolish not to believe Dolly.
She says that when they came home, she handled everything, but now that they got a chance, they are saying whatever they want. Dolly even accused her of provoking Sagar. She questions whether she would ever create a rift between both families, knowing their equation with each other. She admits she didn’t feel good about what Sagar did. Anuj asks her if she is upset that they fell in love without her consent or because they didn’t tell her about their relationship.
Dolly announces that she has decided to get Meenu married as soon as possible and won’t listen to anyone, not even her husband. Bala Kaka takes Sagar away, while Baa warns him that if he tries to see Meenu again, she will slap him.
Anuj tells Anupama that if she believes Sagar is not suitable for Meenu, then she should be clear about what exactly she disapproves of.
He reminds her that love isn’t in anyone’s control—it just happens. He says that when people fall in love, they only see their partner and nothing else, just like how they once loved each other. He explains that Sagar and Meenu are from a new generation. They didn’t let love affect their studies, careers, or dreams. He points out that Dolly is only considering social status, but even they had differences when they fell in love.
He asks if Meenu and Sagar don’t have the right to choose whom they want to marry. He adds that they were just hesitant to inform their families about their love, and if they deserve any punishment, it should be for keeping it a secret—not for falling in love. He questions whether Anuj and Anupama won’t support them, then who will? Anupama holds his hand. Meanwhile, Sagar asks Bala if Anuj will convince Anupama or if she will break ties with him.
Toshu and Pakhi spot Sagar with Bala. Toshu tells Pakhi that he has already created a matrimonial profile for Meenu and shortlisted some suitable grooms for Dolly. Bala warns Sagar not to pay attention to them, but Pakhi mocks him, saying the doctor she found is very handsome. Sagar gets angry and snatches the phone from their hands.
Pakhi taunts him, saying if he breaks their phone, they will break his as well. Sagar looks at the shortlisted grooms and says that no one can love and respect Meenu the way he does. Toshu mocks him, telling him to make theplas of his love and eat it with pickle because his Anudi won’t let him marry Meenu. Sagar insists that Anupama’s decision is final, and he will do whatever she says.
Anupama lets go of Anuj’s hand, and he asks what happened. She says that it is easy to rebel or support them, but convincing the family is difficult. She admits that Dolly is not entirely wrong, as parents have dreams for their children. She explains that Dolly wants Meenu to marry a well-settled doctor, which is not wrong.
She says she has always supported love marriages, whether it was Kinjal-Toshu, Samar-Dimpy, or Adhik-Pakhi, but Meenu and Sagar won’t be happy if they marry against the family’s wishes. She reminds Anuj that while they may or may not have full rights over Sagar, Dolly has every right over Meenu because she is her mother.
Anuj agrees but questions if the family will be happy if Dolly forces Meenu into an unwanted marriage. He argues that just as Dolly has a right over Meenu, Meenu also has a right over herself. Anupama reminds him that family matters too. She asks if they just moved on when Aadhya was against them. She insists that Meenu and Sagar won’t be happy if they go against their family. Anuj says they can try to make everyone understand, but in the end, the decision should be theirs.
Meanwhile, Dolly and Baa scold Meenu. Dolly tells Meenu that her tears mean nothing to her. She questions how she could fall in love with someone who has no status, no family background, and no proper education. Baa adds that they don’t even know his bloodline and questions how they can get her married to him. She reminds her that none of the love marriages in their family have been successful.
Dolly points out that even Anupama had a love marriage after becoming a grandmother, but it didn’t even last a year. Baa says that if Meenu marries Sagar, they will lose all their respect in society. Meenu argues back, asking which respect they are talking about. She reminds them that Mamu stole crores and got thrown out of the house, and their family’s respect is already gone.
She points out that they are only living in this house because of Anupama. She questions Baa’s claim that love marriages don’t work by reminding her that Mamu and Mami had an arranged marriage, yet it failed. She says her parents are also in an arranged marriage, but they are not happy. She insists that if she has happiness in her life, it will be with Sagar, and if not, then even marrying a prince won’t make her happy.
Dolly says she never expected Meenu to do something like this. Meenu warns them that if they don’t understand her love, she will disappear just like Aadhya did. Anuj tells Anupama that he wants to marry her now. He says that Aadhya may be upset because she wants a grand wedding, but he can’t wait any longer. He asks her to marry him and become Mrs. Kapadia again or make him Mr. Joshi.
Meanwhile, Pakhi smirks, saying it was fun watching everyone get exposed. Toshu complains that they suffered a loss. When Pakhi asks what he means, Toshu says that they didn’t get the jewelry. Kinjal overhears and accuses them of stooping too low. She says she will inform Anupama. Pakhi quickly shifts the blame onto Toshu, saying it was his plan, but Kinjal warns them that their truth will come out soon.
Anupama tells Anuj that there is no need to get married. She reminds him that their marriage was the happiest time of their lives, but they don’t need to prove anything. She says they are happy with Aadhya and questions why they need to marry again. Anuj argues that he doesn’t want anyone to question their bond and wants the full experience they missed out on. He insists that he doesn’t want to lose her again.
