Anuradha arrives at the Bose house to finalize the marriage between Lalan and Appu. Appu’s mother expresses her sorrow, recalling the struggles she faced while raising her son. However, Shubha and Tanuja strongly oppose the marriage taking place in their house.
While Appu’s grandfather accepts the proposal, her grandmother refuses to give her consent. This decision deeply upsets Chhoton and Appu. The situation worsens when Lalan and his mother are humiliated by the elders of the Bose family. Feeling insulted, Anuradha expresses her own grief and shares their past struggles.
She reveals that they once had everything, but Lalan’s father was betrayed by a business partner, causing them to lose everything. Her words make Shubha feel uneasy. Meanwhile, Aniruddha arrives and learns that the elders have decided to cancel Appu’s marriage. He gets furious, refusing to ignore his sister’s wishes. Despite being invited for tea, Lalan and his mother refuse, feeling too insulted.
With most family members unwilling to host the marriage at the Bose house, Jhanak steps forward and boldly declares that the wedding will take place there. Arshi warns Jhanak against being too smart, while Tanuja and Shubha are shocked by her confidence. Jhanak defends her decision, emphasizing Appu’s happiness above all. Arshi grows increasingly frustrated with Jhanak, accusing her of making excuses to stay in the house.
When Jhanak finds herself cornered, she stands up for herself. As Lalan and his mother prepare to leave, they ask Appu’s parents to fix a date and inform them when to arrive. After Lalan leaves, Arshi feels defeated, knowing that Jhanak is gaining priority in the family. She decides to return to Shrishti’s house, and Aniruddha plans to accompany her.
Jhanak, however, announces that she will leave the Bose house only after Appu’s wedding. She then taunts Aniruddha, calling him shameless for denying the truth despite knowing it. A heated argument breaks out between Jhanak and Aniruddha. He warns her that he will not accept her baby, firmly stating that he does not believe anything happened between them. He insists that Jhanak cannot claim him as the father of her child.
