Anupama asks Baa to let the night pass and leave everything for the morning, believing that tomorrow will bring a fresh start. Meanwhile, Meenu tells Sagar that she is scared about the situation. Bala advises them not to talk openly, warning that if anyone sees them together, they could get into trouble. Meenu clarifies that they were just discussing staying apart until they informed Mami about everything.
Bala apologizes for misunderstanding them. Meenu reassures him that they know he cares for them and doesn’t want them to face any problems. Bala insists he isn’t against their love but wants them to be cautious. They promise to be careful. Baa approaches Babu Ji, who is wiping utensils.
He tells her that Anupama assigned him the task so he wouldn’t feel useless. He adds that Bala washes the utensils, and he also cleans the gas stove. Baa, reflecting on her past actions, confesses that she always cursed Anupama because she was not her chosen daughter-in-law.
However, she admits that whenever the family was in trouble, Anupama stood by them. She acknowledges that while Vanraj made many mistakes, Anupama took on the role of a daughter despite being a daughter-in-law and fulfilled the responsibilities of a son. Baa regrets having insulted and cursed Anupama constantly, realizing that if not for her, they would have been left homeless, with their struggles becoming public gossip.
She tearfully admits that she has shelter and support today only because of Anupama. Babu Ji consoles her, asking her to take care of herself and not burden Anupama further. Bala Kaka and Indra witness this moment and feel happy that Baa and Babu Ji have finally united. Meanwhile, at the Ashram, the ladies arrange cotton mattresses in the hall. Toshu, Pakhi, Dimpy, and Dolly start complaining, saying they at least deserve foam mattresses.
Dolly worries about bed bugs, which makes Pakhi even more uncomfortable. Dimpy grumbles that she and Titu are a couple and should have gotten a private room, but Anupama expects them to sleep in the hall. Bala places mosquito repellent nearby, but Toshu complains about its smell. Bala tells him to cover his nose with a wet cloth.
Later, Pakhi sneaks into the kitchen, regretting that she refused food earlier. Nandita offers to make something for her, but Dimpy mocks her, saying she is good at fooling people. Pakhi demands food with less oil and masala. As Nandita begins cooking, Anuj arrives and stops her. He tells Pakhi and Dimpy that if they are hungry, they should cook for themselves.
He reminds them that the Ashram doesn’t have luxuries like microwaves, heaters, or induction cookers—only a simple gas stove. He instructs them to clean up after themselves and turn off the gas knob when they’re done. Then, he asks Nandita to leave and take Asha with her. Before leaving, he sternly reminds them that where Anu is absent, Anuj is present to enforce discipline.
That night, Anupama and Anuj watch the Shah family struggling to sleep. Anupama blames Vanraj for everything they are going through. She feels heartbroken for Baa, Babu Ji, Kinjal, and the children, wondering how they must be coping after once being so proud of their family. She laments that their son fled, their grandson is useless, and their daughter returned only to claim her share of the property. She prays that no one ever has to see such a fate. She regrets not being able to prevent their suffering.
Anuj consoles her, saying that while she has many great qualities, she always takes the entire burden upon herself. He reminds her that responsibility is shared—it’s not just her duty alone. Aadhya, Asha Bhavan, and the kids are not only her responsibility but also his. Anupama listens and then quietly leaves. Later, Toshu goes to the kitchen, frustrated that there is no cold water. Sagar arrives and hands him some ice cubes.
Toshu demands more, but Sagar tells him to get it himself. Toshu accuses Sagar of acting arrogant just because the Shahs are struggling. Sagar denies this, and they argue. Meenu arrives and tells Toshu to stop. In retaliation, Toshu threatens to reveal Meenu and Sagar’s secret to Anupama before storming off. Meenu, meanwhile, kisses Sagar on the cheek before leaving.
In the middle of the night, baby Asha starts crying, while Bala snores loudly, waking up Pakhi and the others. Pakhi orders Nandita to quiet the baby. She then calls Toshu, asking how he can sleep through all the noise. Frustrated, they all demand separate rooms. Fed up, Anupama marches in, grabs their heads, and drags them out, pushing them onto the floor. Everyone is shocked.
Anupama warns them that she has had enough of their drama. If they are unhappy, they can leave. Toshu snaps back, saying they won’t stay in a “garbage box.” Anupama scolds them, telling them to go ask homeless people what it’s like to live without a roof over their heads. She reminds them that even a hut is a safe shelter. Pakhi boasts that their wealthy friends will come to pick them up in their cars.
Toshu adds that since they have connections with influential people, they don’t need to stay with the poor. Anupama challenges them to call their friends and tell them that their own mother has thrown them out. She tells Toshu to go outside and wait—if his friends truly care, they will take him in. Toshu arrogantly responds that he doesn’t want to stay with “garbage people” anyway.
Anupama shuts the door and firmly declares that anyone who has a problem living there is free to leave. She apologizes to the Asha Bhavan residents for yet another drama caused by her children. She admits that while she wishes to stop being a mother to them, she always ends up giving them another chance. Bala defends Toshu and Pakhi, suggesting that they are simply not used to living under such conditions.
However, Anupama insists that this is about attitude, not circumstances. She points out that they were given shelter, yet all they do is complain. Babu Ji supports her, saying she did the right thing. Baa agrees, blaming Vanraj for spoiling them. Just then, there is a knock at the door. Anuj opens it to find Titu standing outside. Titu explains that Dimpy called him. They allow him to come in and sleep.
Outside, Toshu and Pakhi scoff at the idea that their mother expects them to beg her to take them back. However, when a thunderstorm begins, they panic. Pakhi calls her friends for help, but one by one, they refuse. Realizing they have nowhere to go, they grow anxious as the storm rages on. Inside, Anupama lies awake, recalling Pakhi’s harsh words.
