Anirudh says Jhanak is Brij’s daughter. Rudra asks, “What are you saying?” Anirudh replies that she is his unwanted daughter, and he will not accept her publicly. Rudra asks why. Anirudh says it’s a long story. Rudra insists he should tell him. Anirudh explains that Jhanak’s mother, Urvashi, was a good dancer. Brij was her Guru, and they used to do shows together.
They didn’t marry formally but just made a promise and got married. When she got pregnant, he refused to accept her. Shrishti is Urvashi’s sister, Jhanak’s Maasi. Anirudh continues that Shrishti and Urvashi had enmity. Guruji had become a big personality, and Shrishti ruined their relationship somehow.
Urvashi went back to Srinagar after Brij rejected her. Jhanak was born, and Urvashi called him, but he didn’t accept them. Her life was tough; she suffered a lot. One day, Brij insulted her a lot, and she died. She wrote this in a letter, which Anirudh has. Rudra asks why Anirudh didn’t tell this to Jhanak.
Anirudh says Brij would have insulted her. He plans to tell her when she settles in life. Rudra insists that Jhanak is capable of exposing Brij, who wants to ruin her. Anirudh says he just met her by chance and may not meet her again. He asks Rudra to tell her this secret and take care of her, as he trusts him. Rudra assures him that he will help Jhanak against Brij.
They return, and Rudra sees Brij. Brij asks, “What happened? Is anything cooking?” Ruchita asks who will go to the final, Jhanak or Pratiksha. Queenie says it’s tough to choose one of them. Rohit asks Aditya to help, but Aditya declines, saying the boss will decide.
Kumar Sanu sings “Baazigar” and arrives there. Shrishti gives him a bouquet. Ruchita requests him to announce the winner’s name. He announces Jhanak. Ruchita says the winner is Jhanak Raina. Rudra is happy. Jhanak goes on the stage. Ruchita mentions that Jhanak and Arshi will have a competition. Kumar Sanu tells Jhanak that she is a fantastic dancer. She thanks him.
He asks her why she only dances to female singers’ songs and not male singers’. She replies that her Guruji Rudra selects the songs. He acknowledges Rudra and asks if he can request a performance from her. Rudra agrees. Kumar Sanu says she must perform to his song while he sings. Jhanak dances to “Ladki Badi Anjani Hai.”
Everyone claps. Kumar Sanu tells her it was fantastic and that he will sing a song. He instructs her to think of the person she loves while he sings “Tujhe Dekha.” Anirudh and Jhanak gaze at each other, and Anirudh imagines dancing with Jhanak romantically. Kumar Sanu finishes singing and takes a seat.
Ruchita says they will move toward the final round now; it’s a tough competition. Jhanak will face Arshi. Jhanak gives a speech on the art of dance, stating that winning and losing doesn’t matter, and it’s important to create art. Shrishti remarks that Jhanak is a drama queen. Everyone claps. Choton comments that Appu has no sense. Even if she likes Lalon, what’s wrong with that? Tanuja scolds him, saying Appu cannot love that cheap guy, or their relatives will laugh at them.
Dadu suggests stopping Lalon’s entry here, but Appu insists on calling Lalon; otherwise, she will die. Bipasha urges everyone to hear it from Appu. Anirudh goes to Jhanak and says he needs to talk. He assures her he won’t take much time and wants to ask her something. She responds that she is ready to help and get off the burden.
He congratulates her, saying she is in the finals. Jhanak replies that she is trying to give her best. Arshi’s entry will make it tough for her to win. She insists she has to work hard to defeat his wife by her talent. Anirudh then makes a request: she should lose the finals. Jhanak asks why. He explains, “Please, let Arshi win.”
