Thakkars reach Savi’s school award function venue. Bhagyashree comments that this venue looks big; she thought it would be a small function. She recalls attending many award functions with Rajat, where he used to win both awards and prizes, and wonders if Savi will also receive money along with her award. Harini replies to Bhagyashree with Isha and Shantanu’s teachings. Bhagyashree then makes a comment about Isha, causing Harini to fume. Savi controls Harini’s anger.
Rajendra asks Bhagyashree to be quiet and states that they are lucky to have Savi as their daughter-in-law, who is being honored in the field of education. They walk into the building, where the school principal welcomes Savi and inquires about her parents. Savi responds that her parents have some work, but her in-laws are present. The principal asks about her husband, and Savi replies that he is also busy. Rajendra assures the principal that Rajat will surely attend his wife’s award function.
Meanwhile, Rajat is busy at the office when Aman asks if he is still working. Rajat rudely responds, asking what else he should do. Aman thinks Rajat is still angry. The Thakkars take their seats in the front row of the auditorium. Ashika and Arsh walk in, which angers Bhagyashree. She asks Savi what they are doing there.
Savi explains that the school management must have invited them as parents. Bhagyashree argues that she should have informed the management that she is Sai’s mother and not Ashika. Tara advises Bhagyashree to ignore Ashika and Arsh. The host welcomes guests and invites chief guest Mr. Waghmare on stage. Rajat arrives at the venue, mistakenly thinking it’s a business expo. He questions someone who informs him it’s a school award function.
Just as he is about to leave, Rajendra walks out and encourages him to attend the award function since he is already there. Rajat realizes Aman tricked him. He reluctantly enters and sits with his family. Arsh taunts Rajat from the back row, saying he came late as usual to watch Sai’s performance, who is Arsh’s daughter and not Rajat’s. Rajat gets upset and starts drinking as usual.
Bhagyashree feels sleepy and asks Tara to sleep as well, finding the award function boring. Tara responds that they should stay awake to avoid humiliation since they are sitting in the front row. The host then calls Savi on stage to receive the Best Teacher award. Bhagyashree excitedly video calls her friend to show Savi receiving the award. Sai encourages Rajat to clap for Savi, but he sits silently.
The host invites Savi to speak a few words. Savi thanks the education board for the award and credits her students for giving her the opportunity to invent new, unique teaching methods. Everyone applauds her while Rajat continues to drink. Savi frowns at Rajat’s behavior. Afterward, Savi walks back to her seat and hands the award to Bhagyashree. Bhagyashree happily shows it to her family and praises Savi.
The host announces a student performance, and children dance to “Ek Jindadi Meri Sau Khwaihsath.” Everyone claps for them. The host then announces Sai’s performance. The audience applauds again. Rajat claps but stops, recalling Arsh’s taunts. Sai sings “Ladki Ki, Kathi Kathi Pe Ghoda,” but she forgets the lyrics midway. Savi tries to remind her, but Arsh joins in and sings along, leaving Rajat even more upset. The host praises their duet performance.
Arsh manipulates Sai, telling her she sings well, but her parents are not great singers. Sai replies that she doesn’t know, as Pari Mamma taught her the song. Arsh suggests she should ask her father, Rajat, where she got her talent from. Sai walks up to Rajat and asks how her performance was. A guest praises her singing. Sai asks Rajat why she sings so well when he and Ashika do not know how to sing. Rajat inquires who told her this. Sai responds that Arsh said this and suggested she question him. Rajat angrily walks away.
Arsh stops him near the door, asking why he is crying. He offers Rajat a handkerchief and challenges him to explain to Savi how Sai can sing well when her parents cannot. He gives an example of a nightingale that keeps its eggs in a crow’s nest, fooling the crow into thinking the baby belongs to her. He claims that Sai looks exactly like Ashika, but her eyes and voice resemble his, suggesting that Sai is Arsh’s daughter. He pretends to plead with Rajat to return his daughter, stating that he knows Rajat is not bothered about Sai at all. Rajat stands there, contemplating.
