Appu says Jhanak didn’t do anything wrong. Shubh scolds her. Anjana agrees with Appu, stating that Jhanak is innocent. Bipasha says to let the police do their job; they will prove it. Anjana asks how. Lal suggests checking the CCTV footage, questioning why Shrishti would lie since she witnessed it. Anirudh asks where Choton is. Shubh replies that they don’t know. Choton and Mrinalini view the footage and argue.
Bittu arrives and plays the footage, showing Shrishti placing the diya down. She asks Bittu for the footage, but he insists on keeping it. Choton says they might need to give it to the police, and reassures them that the police will investigate; he expresses his fear of the police. Anirudh declares he will find evidence against the one who harmed Arshi. Jhanak states she won’t let anyone out on bail. Tanuja claims Shubh will fight the case and get justice for Arshi.
Lal insists that no one can save her now. Shubh tells Anirudh he won’t go to the police. Anirudh insists he wants to find out who harmed Arshi. Appu scolds Anirudh. Anjana advises him to follow his heart. Shubh reassures everyone they are there for their son. Tanuja accuses Anirudh of siding with Jhanak. Anirudh questions why Bablu went there, and Anjana explains he went to bail her out. Anirudh argues that it’s a serious matter that Arshi was burned, and they need the CCTV footage.
He decides to go to the police station. Appu tells him that Jhanak taught her to always speak the truth, and she believes Jhanak will say she didn’t try to kill Arshi. Anirudh leaves in tears, and Anjana hugs Appu to comfort her. Mrinalini and Choton argue on their way. He tells her he’s considering Sanyas because of her and that he doesn’t want to die by marrying her, causing her anger. He wonders how Jhanak is doing. Dadi says their Dadu believes Jhanak is innocent. Bipasha adds that Jhanak saved Dadi’s life.
Shubh returns and informs them that the police haven’t filed the case yet, complicating matters. Choton and Mrinalini arrive at the police station. Bablu says they aren’t allowing him to meet Jhanak. Choton insists he has to talk to her. Bablu mentions there’s no information, and they have to present Jhanak in front of a magistrate within 24 hours. He points out that Anirudh wasn’t home, so he will know when he returns. Mrinalini reassures Bablu, saying she will handle it.
Tanuja asks if Jhanak will return. Shubh expresses worry. Tanuja reminds him that Anirudh sympathizes with Jhanak and may bail her out. Dadi insists he said he would get her punished.
The lady inspector tells Jhanak to tell the truth; otherwise… Mrinalini, Bablu, and Choton arrive and confront the inspector. She claims to be from Jhanak’s family and the principal of RNT school, insisting they cannot treat her like a criminal until proven guilty.
Bablu defends Jhanak, saying she’s innocent, and urges the inspector to listen to them. The inspector claims she doesn’t have time to talk. Choton questions if she has any proof. Jhanak says he has no proof, stating they’re forcing her to confess, threatening her. The lady asks Mrinalini to leave. Mrinalini says she’ll contact Mr. Vishal Brahmachari if they don’t listen, explaining that he’s her friend’s husband. The inspector admits to speaking with him earlier.
Mrinalini says that’s good; she will go to him and tell him they are framing an innocent girl. Choton asserts they have a legal right to know. The inspector insists they don’t need to inform them. Mrinalini warns that they may get into trouble. The lady tells her to call Vishal. The inspector says to tell him whatever she wants. Mrinalini insists that it’s strange they don’t respect him, trying to prove Jhanak’s guilt, and states she can prove her innocence. Bablu asks what’s happening. Choton says Mrinalini will explain; she is doing the right thing. The inspector asks if she can prove Jhanak’s innocence. She claims she can.
