Jhanak says, “Talk to me well. The blame isn’t proven; do you have any proof?” The inspector replies that he will provide proof and put an attempt to murder charge on her. The lady inspector asks Jhanak to just answer instead of lecturing. Jhanak insists, “I didn’t do anything.” The inspector remarks that no criminal confesses to the crime. He then asks the lady if her team can get Jhanak’s confession, to which she responds, “Give me a chance.”
He questions Jhanak about Arshi. She explains, “She is my cousin; we have no problem.” He suggests that there is some enmity because of Anirudh and asks about her relationship with him. She replies, “Nothing. He gave me a place to live in his house out of pity.” She argues with them, and the inspector warns, “You are talking too much; you are only increasing your problems.”
Jhanak retorts that she cannot answer questions about Anirudh. He changes the topic, asking why she is living in his house instead of Shrishti’s. She explains, “Shrishti didn’t bring me to Kolkata. Anirudh saved me and brought me home.” He asks if her Maasi called her, and Jhanak replies, “Maybe once.” Appu arrives and suggests that Jhanak might be scared at the police station.
Lalon enters and she stops him, saying, “I want to go out; don’t you know what happened there?” He responds, “Yes, a fire incident occurred.” She informs him that the police took Jhanak, and she is going to the police station to get her, asking him not to tell anyone since they don’t know. He asks if she will go alone, and she insists, “Please don’t tell anyone.” He complies, asking how she liked the chocolate he gave her. She responds affirmatively but mentions her mum told her not to ask him for chocolate. He gives her more chocolates, saying he keeps them for the kids.
She says, “I don’t want it; I’m not a kid. I’m a big strong girl. I’m ill, so I look young; I forget; I’m silly.” He asks about her illness but states he won’t come again. He offers her more chocolates, and she praises him, saying he is very nice. He expresses that he will give her more chocolates if they meet again. She notes, “I don’t go out; how will you meet me?” He thinks it’s good she forgot to go out. He suggests going to pray to Bhole Baba, saying they all go there to sing and dance. She eagerly responds, “I will also come.” He tells her no, saying, “Who will permit you? You can’t walk a long distance.”
She expresses a wish to stay in a locality and cries. Jhanak tells the inspector that her Maasi asked her to stay with her, but Anirudh refused, stating their relationship is formal. The inspector then inquires about her qualifications. Jhanak mentions she is a graduate from Srinagar and went there to take exams. The lady asks why she returned, and the inspector states it was her plan.
Jhanak insists she went alone, explaining that Anirudh came to save her when her family arrived. Lalon laughs, saying she wants to stay there to pray to Baba. Jhanak responds, “Yes, don’t people live there?” Lalon tells her to go inside, as he will get his payment. She reiterates her desire to save Jhanak and then join him to worship Shiv Ji. He tells her to wait inside, as the car will come late due to heavy traffic. She pleads with him to take her along to Shiv Ji, but he declines, cautioning her that her family might file a case against her.
She assures him she will explain he is a nice guy and she insisted on going. He suggests she ask Choton to take her. Jhanak insists, “I’m strong; I can walk. I will eat chocolate and walk again.” He retorts that she can’t walk far. She returns the chocolates, urging him to leave. He insists she keep them, saying not to get angry. She asks if he will take her along, and he reluctantly agrees, promising. She insists, “If you don’t take me, then I will go alone.”
She explains that her parents don’t have money, so she doesn’t go out, and no one takes her. She praises him, saying he is nice for taking her. He thinks she is a simple girl and agrees to seek her family’s permission to take her. She asks if he will show her his locality, expressing a desire to see it. He agrees to ask Choton to come along, assuring her that he is a nice man. She remarks, “I don’t hate you; eat this toffee.” He notes that if she were well, she would hate the locality people. He tells her she has a big heart and he will pray for her happiness. He smiles and eats the toffee.
Shrishti calls the lady inspector, stating, “Jhanak has ruined Arshi’s life, career, and marriage; don’t spare her.” The lady replies, “Don’t worry; it’s not easy to break Jhanak.” Shrishti, confused, asks how Jhanak gets the courage. The lady informs her that they need to call Anirudh for interrogation. Shrishti protests, saying he isn’t at fault; he wanted to marry Arshi. She insists her complaint is against Jhanak and questions if her demand for justice is wrong. The lady reassures her, “No, don’t worry; I will update you.”
Anirudh arrives home, and Appu tells him to come with her because the police arrested Jhanak, who hasn’t eaten since morning. She adds, “If she dies, then no one will love me.” Lal instructs Appu to go to her room. Anirudh grows worried and asks if the police really arrested Jhanak. Tanuja confirms, stating that Jhanak burned Arshi, and Shrishti filed the complaint. Jhanak defiantly argues, “You are blaming me; you have no proof against me. If you had a daughter like me, would you not ask for proof? Investigate, and if you find evidence against me, then ask.” The inspector reminds her that circumstances and evidence matter.
Jhanak asserts, “I will accept the punishment if you prove it; there is no recording.” Anirudh expresses concern for Arshi, stating she is scared and traumatized. Bipasha adds that her career is at stake because of Jhanak. Anjana mentions that Arshi has been humiliated and hasn’t eaten. Shubh tells her to stop. Anjana continues, “I will speak up now; police took Jhanak without any proof.” The lady inspector mentions the possibility of video recording, to which the inspector agrees, suggesting they check the CCTV footage.
Choton and Mrinalini go to the videographer to request the footage. Bittu confirms it exists, and Mrinalini insists they need the last part. Choton explains they want to see if it was an accident. Bittu agrees to show them. Anjana accuses Shrishti of misusing her power and blaming Jhanak, while Anirudh inquires who else will go to the police station. Mrinalini tells Bittu to start the video from the fire incident. Bittu receives a call and leaves. They watch the footage, and Anirudh declares, “If Jhanak did this and it gets proven, then I won’t support her. She should be punished.”
