Saras sits in his room, smiling. Sunny notices and asks, “From whom did you steal this smile?” Saras replies, “From Kumud.” He reminisces, “Do you remember how restless I was when I wrote a letter to Kumud? I feel the same way today. I cannot see her sad because I always want her to be happy. She has given me a new life, and I want to live it happily with her.” He hugs Sunny and smiles.
Scene shifts to Kumud:
All the girls are sitting in Kumud’s room, teasing Sejal. Sejal shares her fear of missing her parents after moving to her in-laws’ house. Kumari reassures her, saying her husband will love her a lot. Sejal doubts whether the man she is marrying will be ideal. Kumud advises her to become friends with him, adding that he will be closer to her than her parents. Kumud hugs Sejal while Kumari and Kusum smile. Sejal says she was afraid ever since the proposal was finalized but feels relieved after talking to Kumud. She adds, “Kumud, you will be amazing with your husband, and he will surely love you too.”
Everyone gathers for the Ganesh Puja:
Sejal’s mother thanks Badimaa and Kumud’s mother. Badimaa remarks, “When we start any new relationship with Ganesh’s blessings, everything turns out well.” Saras arrives, looking for Kumud.
Saras notices Kumud lighting the diyas. (Kumud looks simple but beautiful.) They exchange smiles. O Piya plays in the background.
Kumud’s mother asks her to light more diyas. Badimaa tells Sejal that this marks the beginning of her new relationships. Kumud struggles to ignite the diyas, but Saras steps in and helps her. Kuch Na Kahe music plays as they share a quiet moment.
Everyone looks happy as they perform the puja. Sejal leads the aarti, and Kumud distributes it to everyone. When she reaches Saras, he holds her hand. She looks at him and softly asks him to let go. Saras, smiling, asks, “How do I look today? Handsome, or…?” She replies playfully, “Everyone might be lying.” He laughs and teases, “Now, I won’t leave you.” She pretends to hear Nandu Kaka calling, prompting Saras to release her hand. She walks away smiling, while Saras says, “I’ll catch you soon.”
Sunny and Kumari observe Saras’s affection for Kumud and devise a plan to make Kumud jealous. Sunny introduces Radha to Saras, praising him as a spiritual and dharmic person. Radha engages Saras in conversation, saying she also performs pujas often. Uncomfortable, Saras excuses himself and asks Sunny, “Are you mad? What are you doing? There’s no effect on Kumud.” Sunny insists, “You have to bear with Radha to make Kumud jealous.” Saras smiles reluctantly.
The mood shifts:
As everyone dances and enjoys the music, a boy delivers a letter to Badimaa. After reading it, Badimaa becomes visibly upset. When Kumari expresses her desire to go to the bazaar to buy bangles, Badimaa forbids her. Kumari protests, but Badimaa sternly locks her in her room and orders her not to leave. Vidyachatur notices the tension and asks Badimaa what’s wrong, reminding her there are many guests around. Badimaa refuses to explain, simply saying, “No one should open that door.” Her tension leaves everyone puzzled and worried.
