Ghuman confronts Kumud, urging her to confess the truth to Vidyachatur, predicting it will ruin his friendship with Laxminandan. Kumud demands to know Ghuman’s motive, to which Ghuman coldly replies that she doesn’t want Kumud in her son’s life.
Kumud counters, saying Saras wants her, but Ghuman dismisses it as mere attraction, declaring that Saras would never marry her. Undeterred, Kumud challenges Ghuman, asserting that Saras’s decisions won’t break the bond between their families. Ghuman accepts the challenge, vowing to destroy their friendship.
Meanwhile, Kumari seeks permission from Badimaa to watch TV. Badimaa, hearing a suspicious sound, heads outside, warning Kumari to stay behind. However, Kumari follows her and finds an old man playing an unusual instrument. Badimaa appears unsettled but brushes off Kumari’s concern, instructing her to return indoors.
The next morning, Vidyachatur and Kumud are engrossed in account work when Saras arrives. He exchanges secret glances with Kumud, signalling her to meet him. Although hesitant, Kumud excuses herself to fetch water and finds Saras waiting. He pulls her close, asking why she’s been avoiding him.
She protests, but Saras expresses his wish to take her on a date. Despite her initial reluctance, he persuades her to meet him near the school. Their playful banter ends with Kumud agreeing, though she quickly leaves when Saras’s mother comes to mind. Both are left smiling, eager for their meeting.
Outside, Kumari encounters Umesh, who gifts her a watch and expresses his affection. He promises to find her father and eagerly anticipates the day he can bring her happiness. Kumari thanks him, but aware of her family’s disapproval, she rushes back home, leaving Umesh disappointed yet hopeful.
Elsewhere, Kumud reflects on Saras’s invitation, cherishing the memory of his touch and dreaming about their date. Similarly, Saras, excited for his first date, consults Sunny for advice. Sunny jokes about his dating misadventures, leaving Saras amused but determined to make the day special. Ghuman overhears Saras’s plans and silently vows to disrupt them.
At home, Kumud struggles to come up with a believable excuse to leave. Her mother inquires, but Badimaa steps in to support her, providing a cover story. Ghuman, suspicious, questions Kumud’s intent, but Badimaa’s quick wit leaves her frustrated. Kumud announces her departure, and Saras, dressed smartly in a black suit, feels elated knowing she’s on her way to meet him.
