Jayesh says, “When I needed your trust, you didn’t trust me. How can I trust you now?” Amruta responds, “That’s different.” Jay continues, “They have proof. Why did you have to do this? You could have worked hard and not stolen. You could have thought about me or your mom. Thank God you don’t live with me. It’s not easy for us to handle the police. I love my kids, but I can’t hide their sins.” Babita says, “Inspector, her dad is saying she could do this; arrest her.
Get the truth out of her.” Harsh adds, “We don’t want to see your face ever again. You’re not our father. Aai won’t ever do that.” Ishika says, “We don’t want to see your face again either. You removed Jay’s name from your name. Then ask Babita for help, not us.” Bhavani says, “Amruta didn’t see my message. I am worried for her.” Aaji replies, “She must be busy somewhere. Don’t worry.” The inspector says, “Let’s go.” Amruta pleads with Dildar, “Sir, I didn’t do anything. I promise, why would I give my name if I had to steal?” They take Amruta away.
Scene 2
Dildar thanks Amruta. Rajiv gets a call from Tara. Dildar asks, “Why would she give her name?” Babita replies, “She thought she’d run away.” Dildar says, “She was going to Delhi only, not London.” Shekhar comments, “She could use someone else’s ID.” Babita states, “She knew she’d get money in her name only. She had the authority to take money out; no one else did.” Virat says, “She stole from us. I won’t forgive her.”
Rajiv tells Tara, “Everything is according to our plan. Amruta went to jail. Ahuja thinks she stole.” Virat walks past, and Rajiv pretends to be talking to his dad, saying, “It’s my fault. I hurt Nimrit, and Amruta put them against me. I couldn’t win their trust. I will win everyone’s trust.” Virat leaves, and Rajiv reassures Tara, “Don’t worry. The money is ours, but we won’t use it for now. Thank you for helping me take revenge on Amruta.”
Scene 3
Amruta is brought to the police station and locked up. She cries, saying, “I didn’t do anything.” More prisoners are brought in. The inspector approaches Amruta, who repeats, “I didn’t do anything. I never went to that branch. Please check the CCTV footage. Please let me make one phone call.” The inspector calls Virat and says, “The girl is saying she didn’t do anything.” Virat asks how she got the bank ID and instructs the inspector to get her confession. Babita asserts, “She will confess. She thinks you will get weak. She will confess if she spends a night in jail.” Virat agrees, saying this would ruin her career. Shekhar cautions, “We should think before accusing her falsely, if she even did this or not.”
Babita keeps calling Harsh and Amruta, worried. Harsh and Jahan come to meet Amruta. The inspector says, “The time to meet is over.” Harsh pleads, “Please, sir, let us meet.” Harsh runs to meet her, but the constable stops him. Amruta says, “Listen to them.” Jahan requests, “Sir, let them meet once, please.” The inspector warns, “Go out before I arrest you too.” They are taken out. The constable tells Amruta she has permission to make one call. Amruta calls Bhavani, saying her phone broke. Bhavani asks, “Are you okay?” Amruta replies, “Yes.” Bhavani questions, “What is wrong with your voice?” Amruta explains, “I caught a cold. I ate ice cream.” Bhavani advises her to be careful, saying, “Why do you do these things, kids?” Amruta reassures her, “I will always be your kid.” Bhavani responds, “I am always with you. I can do anything for my kids.” Amruta says, “I trust you. You also trust your Amu.” Amruta returns to her cell.
Virat arrives at the jail. Amruta says, “If you want to hit me to get a confession, I won’t do that.” Virat replies, “You still have that ego?” Amruta is shocked to see him. “Visiting hours are over; how are you here?” Virat says, “I have no interest in bothering you, but you loved bothering me. You stole from me. Ms. Thief, accept it and end this.” Amruta insists, “I didn’t steal anything.” He counters, “All thieves say that. That’s why you’re in jail.” Amruta argues, “You didn’t even give me a chance to prove my innocence. You’re lying so much.” He says, “You will have to stay here then.” She replies, “I can stay here all my life but won’t confess to something I didn’t do. I would much rather die.” He responds, “All girls can do that.” Amruta questions, “Where do you get so much hate from?” He threatens, “Get ready to spend one night in jail then.” Amruta asserts, “I didn’t do anything.” Virat says, “It’s not a game; I lost my money.” Amruta counters, “I will lose my life. My life would be ruined because of you.” He retorts, “You’re responsible for all this, not me. Better confess and end this.” Amruta’s hand bleeds as she pushes him back. Virat notices and says, “It’s bleeding.” Amruta replies, “I don’t need your care. The way you hurt people with words, nothing can heal them. Get out now.” He warns, “Your innocent act won’t work this time. Better confess and end this.” He leaves, and Amruta cries. Virat thinks, “Not every woman can run away with my money. I won’t give her a chance.”
Amruta is crying in the jail cell and recalls Jayesh and Virat’s harsh words. She recalls Bhavani telling her that she could fight anyone for her kids. She says, “I miss my Ayi; I feel alone now.”
Virat recalls Amruta’s words that she would never take the blame for a crime she didn’t commit. He recalls his happy moments with Amruta and smiles. He says, “She claimed us to be friends, so why did she do this?” He starts drinking in anger.
The officer brings ointment for Amruta and says Virat gave this for her. She is confused and thinks he curses her so much on one side, but on the other side, he shows care for her. “How could he be like this? Once they have the CCTV report tomorrow, then they will know I am innocent.” She cleans up her wound. On the other side, Virat breaks a glass in his hand and hurts himself. He says, “I won’t be fooled by her again; I will punish her this time.”
Rajiv calls Tara and says they have to be careful until Amruta is announced guilty by the court. Tara says, “Don’t worry, we are sorted, and I haven’t spent the money that we stole.” Rajiv says, “I am telling you to not make any mistakes.” Tara says, “Stop lecturing me; I am the one who got the money, and it was all my idea, so stop giving me speeches.” She ends the call in anger. Tara calls a dealership and asks them to get her car ready; she will pay them in cash.
In the morning, the officer tells Amruta that she will be presented in court today. Does she have a lawyer yet? Amruta says, “I am not sure.” She thinks Harsh can’t hire a lawyer; they know no one like that.
Deepika and Ishika are telling society people about Amruta getting arrested, and Ishika says, “We should report this family now; they are a bad image for us.” Jahan comes there and scolds her. She says, “You are cheap, so don’t talk about Amruta.” Ishika tells Harsh that they need a lawyer to bail Amruta, and they can’t do that. Harsh says, “You think only you are smart?” The lawyer Suman comes there and tells Jahan that she talked to her on the phone. “Are the papers ready?” Harsh says yes. Suman smirks at Ishika. Ishika thinks Amruta won’t be getting out of jail now.
The officer tells Amruta that Jayesh will be giving a statement against her. She is shocked and thinks, “He will give a statement against his own daughter.” Harsh and Jahan come there with Suman. Suman asks who can be her witness. Amruta says, “I have no one except Harsh and Jahan.” She requests a call. Suman says, “I will talk to the inspector about it.” Jahan gives the phone to Amruta. She calls Bhavani, who puts it on speaker. Bhavani asks, “Are you okay now?” The officer asks her to hurry. Amruta tells Bhavani to take care and ends the call. Bhavani tells Aaji that she feels something is wrong with her. Aaji and Bhavani pray in the mandir for Amruta. Aaji asks Bhavani to go back. “She is hiding something; she acts strong, but she needs you. You have to fight for your kids. Stop being a coward and be strong now. Come out of your fear and become a new Bhavani that her kids can be proud of. Just fight for her kids and don’t be scared.” Bhavani thanks her and prays to the Lord.
The court session starts, and Amruta is brought to the witness box. Babita and Shekhar are there too. Virat comes there and says, “I want to say something.” He glares at Amruta. His lawyer brings him to the witness box and promises to not lie. Virat says, “Amruta was my personal banker, and she had access to my bank accounts. She stole from my account; she stole 10 crores from me, so she should be punished, or she should publicly apologize to me.” The judge says, “If she apologizes to you, then you will take the case back?” Virat says, “100%, I will take the case back if she says sorry.” The judge tells Amruta that they will give her 10 minutes to decide.
Suman tells Amruta to apologize and end the matter here. Virat comes there and says her lawyer is smart, but Amruta is full of ego; still, he is giving her a chance to get away by just apologizing. She can end this matter right here. Amruta looks on.
