Everyone is seen enjoying Kumud’s birthday celebration, with many guests gathered at the house. Saras anxiously waits for her, and Vidyachatur also asks about her. Kumud finally enters with Kusum, looking dazzling, and Saras gazes at her intently as music plays in the background. Kumud greets her guests, and Vidyachatur proudly calls her his princess, making her feel shy as Saras continues to admire her.
Ghuman gifts Kumud and asks her to open it later, claiming it is special. Kumud thanks her, and Kusum brings out a large cake ordered by Laxminandan. Kumud is amazed by its beauty and begins to cut the cake after blowing out the candles, with everyone singing for her. Saras lights the candles for her but doesn’t speak, leaving Kumud disappointed. She serves the cake to her parents and the children from her school while Ghuman looks on with jealousy.
Later, everyone gathers to open gifts. Ghuman eagerly waits for Kumud to see hers, but when Kumud opens the box, it contains a beautiful anklet instead of the original ghungroo Ghuman intended. Kumud’s parents and Badimaa admire the anklet, but Ghuman is visibly upset. Badimaa subtly taunts her, saying anklets suit daughters-in-law better, leaving Ghuman annoyed.
Meanwhile, Saras confides in Sunny that he hasn’t wished Kumud yet. Sunny teases him for missing opportunities, while Kumud waits in her room, hoping Saras will express his feelings. Kumari joins Kumud to sleep but later sneaks out of the room, prompting Kumud to follow her. She is surprised to find Saras waiting for her by the pond, where he has beautifully decorated the area with balloons and lights. Saras finally wishes Kumud a happy birthday and gives her a bouquet, making her feel special.
Kumari, on the other hand, meets her boyfriend Omesh, who praises her for helping Saras bring Kumud to the pond. He tells her not to reveal their relationship yet, hinting at hidden motives. Back at home, Ghuman and Badimaa exchange taunts about Kumud. Ghuman warns that she will create a scandal around Kumud if Badimaa doesn’t stop provoking her. Kumud, unaware of the brewing tension, is lost in the joy of Saras’s surprise.
The next morning, Kumud encounters Saras again when he shields her from a group of men following her on the street. He gives her his coat to cover up, leaving her confused about his actions. Later, Kumud learns her dress was improperly fastened, making her grateful for Saras’s gesture. However, Saras angrily confronts the men and orders Kumud to leave the scene, displaying a side of his protective nature she hasn’t seen before.
