Saras looks around Ilaben’s house and finds her son sitting quietly. To cheer him up, Saras throws water on him playfully, quickly making friends. The boy reveals he’s hungry since Ilaben didn’t cook the previous day. Saras promises to help by buying them a new cow. Feeling disheartened, Saras tries to lift the boy’s spirits when he asks for a mango from a tree. Saras climbs up to get it, and Kumud happens to see him and the boy playing.
Her heart softens as she watches Saras struggle to get the mango. She advises him to come down, fearing he’ll hurt himself. Saras, distracted, stares at her instead of the mango. The boy notices this and teases him, asking why he’s looking at “teacher” (Kumud) instead of focusing on the mango. Finally, Saras gets the mangoes for the boy.
When Ilaben arrives, she angrily throws the mangoes away, refusing Saras’s help, blaming him for the death of their cow. Ilaben’s mother-in-law intervenes, accusing Ilaben of being at fault for their troubles. Ilaben then tells Kumud to stay out of their family matters. Meanwhile, in Dubai, Ghuman gifts Laxminandan a pair of cufflinks. While discussing with her sister, Laxminandan walks in, appreciating the gift but asking for privacy. He thanks her but gets upset upon learning she used money from Gujarat to buy gifts for everyone.
Ghuman demands to know why it’s an issue, arguing she has done everything for him and their family. Laxminandan tries to calm her, asking her not to misunderstand him. Back in India, Saras sees Ilaben struggling to make mud pots with her injured hand. Moved, he decides to help, but Kumud stops him, knowing Ilaben will reject his assistance. Saras insists, but Kumud tells him she will help instead, ensuring the family gets food. Ilaben, exhausted, gives up and leaves with her son.
Saras takes over, determined to finish the work. Kumud argues with him, urging him to tell Ilaben he isn’t responsible for the cow’s death. Saras, frustrated, pushes her. Kumud falls, hurting her hand. Concerned, Saras rushes to help, gently tending to her injury. As soft music plays, Kumud tells Saras they must work together. Saras reveals Ilaben has asked Kumud to stay away from him. Kumud reassures him, saying there’s no debt between them because their relationship is eternal.
Saras is taken aback by her words. Kumud decides to learn how to make pots from her Badimaa to help Ilaben’s family. Kumud overhears a potter and his son discussing Vidyachatur’s house. The son refuses to go there. Curious, Kumud asks about Yash, the boy’s friend, but receives no clear answers. She returns home, where Badimaa urges her to eat, but Kumud insists she isn’t hungry and asks Badimaa to teach her how to make mud pots.
Badimaa, upset, questions why Kumud is fasting for Saras and accuses him of committing Gau Hatya (cow slaughter). Kumud defends Saras, expressing her belief in his innocence. Badimaa counters, stating Saras’s actions have caused problems for Vidyachatur, including humiliation from Purohitji. She demands that Vidyachatur contact Laxminandan and declare their family no longer responsible for Saras. Kumud is left in shock, realizing the gravity of the situation.
