Kumud is riding her bicycle on the rainy streets, desperately searching for the doctor for her father. She arrives at the doctor’s home, knocks on the door, but no one answers—they’re having a party and don’t hear her. Kumud enters uninvited, apologizing as she pleads, “My father is very ill.” She grabs the doctor’s hand, begging him to come with her. He hesitates, looking at his daughter, who is celebrating her birthday.
Kumud says, “I came from Ratna Nagar. My father’s factory caught fire, and he’s struggling to breathe. Please, come with me.” The doctor’s daughter urges him to stay for the cake-cutting, but Kumud persists, tearfully saying, “Your daughter will celebrate birthdays every year. If you don’t come today, I may lose my father, and I’ll have to live with that pain forever.” Moved, the doctor decides to accompany Kumud.
At Kumud’s Home: Saras tells the family that he consulted their family doctor in Dubai and has already administered first aid to Vidyachatur. Kumud tells the local doctor to examine her father, while Saras and Badi Maa watch closely. After checking him, the doctor announces, “He is out of danger. No need to worry.” The family feels relieved.
Vidyachatur thanks the doctor, saying, “My daughter brought you here on this rainy night. She is very courageous, and my son-in-law has shown great patience.” The doctor praises both Kumud and Saras, saying, “You two make a great match.” Vidyachatur expresses his gratitude, thanking Saras for saving his life. Saras asks him to rest.
Kumud, still uncertain about Saras, thinks to herself, “I don’t trust him, but he saved my father’s life.”
Vidachatur, noticing Kumud’s tears, tells her, “You were scared when you brought the doctor, but look at me now. I’m fine. Saras made me better. You’re lucky to have such a wonderful groom.” Kumud hugs her father and cries.Meanwhile, Kumari talks to Kumud about how Saras performed a miracle and how Kumud must be thinking only about him today.Vidachatur’s brother and sister-in-law appreciate Saras for using the computer to help in the crisis. Kumud overhears them and walks away, deep in thought.
Saras, standing alone, wonders how he can reveal the truth to Vidyachatur. The song “Oh Piya” plays in the background as Saras reflects on his feelings. He notices Kumud approaching and wonders, “Is she coming to talk to me?” Kumud, on the other hand, contemplates whether to speak to him. She thinks, “Why should I let him see my face? He will disappoint my father when he learns the truth.” She angrily walks away, leaving Saras staring after her. He silently says to himself, “You have to talk to me, Kumud.”
Yash arrives with medicines, and Kumud asks him to show them to Saras first. Kusum comes in and tells Kumud that Saras wants to meet her behind the temple. Kumud refuses, but Kusum insists, saying that Saras will wait for her. Kumud hesitates, unsure of what to do. She tells Kusum she is too tired and plans to sleep. Kusum encourages her to go, warning that she won’t be able to sleep otherwise.
At the temple:Saras waits for Kumud, as the song “Kuch Na Kahe Bas Chup Rahe” plays in the background. Kumud feels restless and conflicted about what to do. She thinks back to their past moments together. Finally, she leaves to meet him. Saras waits for her throughout the night, and by morning, Kumud arrives.
At Kumud’s House:Kumud’s mother tells Badi Maa, “Because of Saras’ courage and patience, Vidyachatur is well. We couldn’t trust him before, but today he proved his worth.” Kumud’s mother warns Badi Maa not to let anyone play with them.
At the temple: Kumud sees Saras about to leave. Just as he is about to turn away, he calls her name, saying, “I knew you’d come.” Kumud is speechless and turns to leave, but Saras stops her and helps her free her dupatta from a tree. He says, “I have to go.” Kumud responds, “You can’t leave. My father’s health isn’t well, and whether you stay or go is up to you.”
Saras asks, “Did you want me to stay?” Kumud answers, “I asked you to talk to my father, but what do you want to say?” She pauses, and Saras says, “If I don’t talk today, I’ll never have a chance again. I can’t wait any longer.” Kumud replies, “After reading your letter, I don’t expect you to feel anyone’s pain. It’s your choice to stay or leave.” Saras looks at her, and Kumud adds, “That’s all I wanted to say,” before leaving. Saras calls her name as she walks away.
