Toshu tells Anupama that if she thinks of her betterment, then she is great, and if he thinks of his betterment, then he is the devil. He points out that Aadhya never spoke to her well and always insulted her, yet she went to Anuj’s house to take care of her. He demands that she pay him back for the money he spent on her.
Kinjal asks if he is mad. Toshu insists he will show her the calculations. He reads through the expenses—rent, food, coffee, shampoo, etc.—and claims the total comes to over $3,000. He adds that including today’s decoration, she owes him $3,570. Anupama is shocked and hurt, recalling the days when he was small. She tells him she will not forget this day until her death and promises to give him an answer and settle his payment by tomorrow.
She asks him to wait until then, takes her trophy and apron, and leaves. Kinjal, upset, also exits. Toshu thinks he forgot to add the cake ($35) and revises the total as he eats it.Anupama tells herself not to let anyone ruin her golden day. She declares that today is her day, and she will respond to Toshu—but not today. She focuses on celebrating her victory and refuses to entertain any negative thoughts.
A guy recognizes Anupama and asks for a selfie, thanking her afterward. Anupama feels happy and acknowledges that she did it.Anupama arrives at Anuj’s house, where he welcomes her and expresses his happiness. Anupama shares her surprise when Mr. Keith announced her as the winner. Anuj hugs her and congratulates her. However, Shruti arrives in a wheelchair with a nurse, looking upset.
Kinjal confronts Toshu about his behavior. She asks why he is eating sweets while spewing poison. Toshu argues that if he asks for money, then he is in the wrong. Kinjal counters that he should have requested it respectfully. Toshu claims he has a right to demand money from his mother. Kinjal responds that he shouldn’t treat his mother like an adversary. She states she has covered all the expenses he mentioned and accuses him of being selfish.
Meanwhile, Anuj encourages Anupama to share her feelings about her win. Anupama suggests they eat sweets first. Shruti congratulates her as Anupama offers her sweets. Shruti asks when Anupama will return to India, stating she has proven herself. She suggests that Anupama can open a restaurant in India and find investors.Vanraj, feeling restless, thinks about Anupama’s victory. Kavya tells him that he should learn to be happy with others’ successes. She asks if he wants Anupama to return.
Vanraj insists that he never wants her back and believes she should stay to take care of Anuj’s family.Anupama asserts that she does not want to leave. She states that she came for her daughter, Aadhya, and will remain until she recovers. She reassures Shruti that her life is in good hands. Shruti asks whose hands, and Anupama responds, “Kanha ji’s.” She then asks if she can go to her room, and Anuj agrees, encouraging her to cherish the moment.
Beeji and Yashdeep discuss their plans for the restaurant. Beeji inquires if anyone has bought it. Yashdeep shares that they will return to India next week and that he plans to start organic farming. Beeji playfully suggests she will drive the tractor, prompting Yashdeep to express his doubts about her driving skills. He mentions he feels relieved that all the staff found jobs elsewhere. Beeji urges Yashdeep to express his feelings to Anupama.
Baa invites everyone to enjoy some gobi. Reporters arrive to ask her about Anupama’s victory. Baa praises Anupama and explains that she drew courage from her diary. When the reporters ask Vanraj if he believed Anupama would win, he expresses pride in her but warns she must handle her success well. The reporters thank them and leave. Neighbors come to congratulate Anupama, and Baa reminds them of the cooking lessons she provided. Anupama reflects on Toshu’s words as she opens her diary. Anuj arrives and confirms her thought about the diary.
Toshu comes into the hall and is surprised to see Anupama. He asks if she has returned so soon because she misses her dear son. Anupama responds that she has come to give him something and pulls out a paper from her handbag. Toshu sarcastically tells her to keep the cheque blank. Instead, Anupama reveals a list of all the expenses she incurred for him until his marriage. She explains that while he presented one list, the other was prepared by her, totaling the costs of raising him over 9,100 days, covering three meals a day and extra meals at times.
She asks Kinjal to note the occasions when she made special food for Toshu and reminds him that her calculations should account for 25 cakes and 25 candles for his birthdays. She recalls the pain she endured giving birth, the sleepless nights, and the sacrifices she made for him. Anupama states that even Kanha ji couldn’t compensate for a mother’s love, and neither can he in ten lifetimes. Toshu wipes his sweat as Anupama concludes that she won’t give him any money but offers him a job instead. She reminds him that those with narrow thinking often fail to see their dreams realized. She wishes him goodnight and leaves.
Upon returning home, Anupama sees Aadhya dancing in her room and feels joy. When Aadhya misses a step and becomes upset, Anupama decides to help her. She plays music in her room, and Aadhya recognizes the rhythm and dances along. Anupama also dances happily in her room, while Anuj observes Aadhya and prays for their reunion.
Baa asks Dimpy about the money Anupama received. Dimpy suggests she could buy a restaurant with it. Baa adds that Anupama could buy a house and rent it out. Dimpy mentions that Anupama and Anuj will come to India for her wedding. Anuj accidentally collides with Yashdeep, causing the bags to fall. They both pick them up, and Yashdeep expresses his desire to meet Anupama before leaving for India.
Anuj goes home and presents Anupama with the ingredients for laddoos she asked him to buy for Aadhya, along with a saree as a gift. Anupama thanks him, expressing her gratitude to all three of them. She mentions needing help with an email from Hitachi Wang. Anuj pretends to react in shock and insists it’s excellent news. He tells her Hitachi Wang is opening a new restaurant and is offering her the head chef position. Anupama feels thrilled, but Anuj encourages her to try the laddoos she’s preparing for Aadhya.
Anupama acknowledges the honor of being offered the job but insists she has other plans. She visits Yashdeep’s house and gives sweets to Beeji and Yashdeep, offering him a cheque. Yashdeep declines to take it. Anupama convinces him that they should use the money to restart their restaurant, explaining it’s not just a restaurant to her, but a temple and home. She believes that reopening the restaurant will reunite her family.
Yashdeep agrees to take the money but states he has a condition: their relationship will change, and she will become the co-owner of Spice and Chutney. Anupama is shocked.
