Rainier Is Planted In The Hospital To Spy On Erika. Samuel & Carrie Break Up Amicably. Carrie Bonds With Tonyo. Agatha Gets Into More Trouble & Lands In Jail Again.
The episode began with Carrie preparing for bed and Erika went to bring her some milk. She thanked Erika for keeping Debbie occupied since she did not look for her. Erika said she did not do anything and let Carrie go to sleep. The next morning, Norman and Debbie told Erika that they had her enrolled in college. She could work in the day and go to school at night. Erika was overjoyed because she had always wanted to study.
When Rosemary arrived at work, she was told that there was a person who applied for a trainee position and wanted to talk to her personally. Rosemary said that he should go to HR but her secretary said that the person claimed to be a family friend and specifically asked to speak to her. When Rosemary went to her office, she was surprised to see Rainier.
She realized that he had been sent there by Fabian and Rainier said that they just needed to keep their eyes on Erika.Rosemary agreed to let him pretend to be a worker at the hospital but restricted his access to certain areas. As Erika was having lunch, Rainier pretended to run into her and introduced himself as a new intern at the hospital.
Agatha and Pam began work at a mall near the hospital so that Agatha would be close to her family. She went to the hospital during her lunch break and she was able to see both Carrie and Erika. She thought that her mother had lied to her about the sisters not being together while she was the only one not with their family.
Samuel talked to Erika since he was not able to reach her the previous evening. Carrie told him that she attended a concert with Tonyo and apologized because she did not tell him. Samuel told her that they needed to talk and they both agreed that their relationship was not working.
They therefore decided to break up and remain friends. They had a meeting with their families and told them about their decision to cancel their wedding. Rosemary asked if they were postponing it and Carrie clarified that they broke up. Samuel’s mother lashed out at Carrie for hurting Samuel but Samuel said that it was his decision.
Vida was delighted with the news since she was never in favor of the marriage. After Samuel and his family left, Rosemary was ready to reprimand Carrie but Norman asked her to leave with her. Rosemary was worried that they might lose the Hechenova investment in the hospital after the engagement was cancelled.
Rosemary wanted to find a way to appease them so they decided to name the new hospital they were going to open after Samuel’s father, Manuel Hechenova. Samuel talked to his grandmother and asked her not to withdraw her investment from the Hechenova hospital because his engagement was cancelled. Vida said she never planned on doing that; the hospital was his father’s legacy.
They then received a letter from Debbie inviting them as guest of honors in the opening of the new hospital wing. Andrea had been preparing the new wing at the hospital and was furious when she found out last minute that the name had been changed. Erika told her to cheer up since they could do it.
Andrea hence told her to be the one to take care of the arrangements since she thought it was so easy. She abandoned her post and told everyone that Erika was in charge. Rainier offered to help Erika but she said she was fine. Agatha wanted to get some money so that she would not look disheveled when she met her family.
Pam refused to give her back the credit card so she asked to borrow money from her manager at the mall. He brought her to her car and tried to take advantage of her in exchange for the money but Erika fought back. She attacked him and took away the money.
The manager called the mall security and accused Agatha of stealing his money. Since Agatha still had the money on her, she was taken to jail for stealing. There were assault charges as well so she needed a lot of money to get bailed out. Pam said she would ask Adele for help but Agatha told her not to.
Pam suggested talking to her sisters but Agatha said she did not want them to think she was a criminal. She therefore had to stay in jail while Pam looked for a way to find the money to bail her out. Carrie was happy after the engagement was cancelled and she told Erika that she now felt free. She went out with Tonyo at the club he worked at and they ate street food after.
Tonyo asked her if she had ever ridden a motorcycle and when she said no, he borrowed one and took her on a ride. The opening of the hospital wing went well and Samuel’s family got to meet Erika. Debbie and Rosemary were filled with praise for her and said she was a good person even if she had a hard life.
Andrea tricked Erika into offering the guests some food and Erika gave some shrimp to Vida. Vida was allergic to it and had to be taken to the ER. Andrea reprimanded Erika for making such a mistake but Rosemary told her it was her fault since she knew that Vida was allergic to shrimp and should have told Erika about it.
After the event, Erika attended her first class at night school. Andrea talked to Carrie and told her to be careful of Erika because she was slowly getting the affection of their family. Agatha lamented about her life while in jail after she was harassed by the other inmates.
