Tupe Discovers The Secret Cameras & Notifies Rita. Peterson Makes A Desperate Attempt To Cover His Tracks. Rita & Tupe Storm Peterson’s House.
Tupe was very upset to learn that Peterson was filing for sole custody of Andrew. Rita shared his disbelief and disgust as she recounted the abuse she had suffered at his hands. She vows to never let Peterson take her son away. After Tupe sends Simon to call the lawyer, Rita makes known her plan to confront her sorry excuse of a husband and Tupe talks her out of it, promising to ensure that she doesn’t lose Andrew.
Later, while Tupe goes to see the baby, Peterson pulls a fast one on Rita during the annulment proceeding. When Rita confronts him soon after, an exchange of words and threats ensue, with Peterson threatening to have her imprisoned by accusing her of adultery. Rita is appalled at his wickedness and Peterson asks her to come back to him so they can rebuild their family.
Rita blatantly refuses, saying that she’s not stüpïd enough to become a part of his life again. Peterson then vowed not to allow her to leave for Ireland with Andrew, note even with Tupe’s help. Rita stares shocked for a while before walking away. Tupe is exasperated to learn of Peterson’s threats.
He brings up Rita’s plans for Ireland and they both wonder how Peterson had found out about it. Later, Tupe meets with his buddies to deliberate on their situation with Peterson. When he brings up the thing about Ireland, Simon speculates that Peterson might have bugged Rita’s house. This strikes Tupe who decides to go and check out the house.
As he recalls some suspicious things Peterson had said before, Tupe is shocked to find one of the hidden cameras and he subtly tries to take Rita outside to talk to her while Peterson watches from his place. Ironically, Rita protests and so Tupe resolves to turn on the volume of the TV before telling Rita that someone has been spying on them through cameras planted in the house.
Rita is shocked, even as she recalls Peterson’s recent threats as well as some other unfriendly encounters. Peterson continues to observe through the screen and when he realizes that he’s been exposed, he calls Eli his lawyer who counsels him to go and get rid of the cameras before they’re used against him.
After Tupe and Rita left the house to go and confront Peterson, Peterson sent his men there under the guise that there was a maintenance issue, and Celia let the men in without knowing what they were up to.Meanwhile, Rita storms Peterson’s house with Tupe and confronts him over the despicable stunt he had pulled. Raymond went to Rita’s bathroom and he was there when she called.
She asked him not to leave. By now, Peterson’s guys had managed to remove all the cameras except the one in Rita’s bathroom. In the meantime, Rita forces her way into the surveillance room and manages to get evidence of the last secret camera that is still working; she took a video on her phone for evidence.
When Peterson tried to stop her, Tupe punched him down and they were able to get away. Rita did not feel safe staying at her house so she and her family moved in with Tupe.
