Cardo Ends Up In Deep Trouble. Major Opeña Comes To The Rescue. Juan Eliminates The Bank Manager. Alyana Strives To Find Her Husband. Lemuel Becomes Her Savior With Sinister Intentions.
The episode begins with the half drunk Cardo stopping the rotten congressman and beating him up along with a couple of his bodyguards. At home, Alyana wakes up and is disheartened to find out that her dear husband hasn’t returned home until now.
Back at the bar, the numbers game prove to be much more than what our favorite hero can handle as the scumbags gang up on him and overpower him, eventually knocking him down with a table.In the meantime, the little brat known as Clarisse reflects on the ki$$ she had shared with Cardo.
With her eyes full of lust, she declares that he’s all hers now. Anyway, Alyana goes out in search of her husband. Lily returns to the Palace and when she catches Elizabeth staring at her, she confronts her and decides to baptize her with a whole glass of water.
The officers on guard duty at the detention center of the CIDG contemplate taking Delfin to the hospital and he urges them not to get involved since they could get in trouble. He then thanks them for their concern, adding that they should just focus on doing their jobs.
While the goons continue to gang up on our favorite hero and beat him into a bloody mess, Alyana goes to a bar in search of her husband and she attracts unwanted attention. Lily talks to Hipolito on phone about their partnership, just as Alyana continues with her search. The goons dump our favorite hero outside the bar and as some concerned people crowd around him, Major Opeña comes upon the scene.
She’s shocked to recognize her fellow officer all bludgeoned and she has those around carry him to her car. Meanwhile, masked Juan sneaks into the house of Dominguez the bank manager and he easily shoots her dead. Virgie nags Teddy over the dangers of publishing the controversial article against the first lady and the Vulture in order to help with Delfin’s case.
The barely conscious Cardo refuses to allow Opeña take him to the hospital for treatment and after he gets out of the car, Opeña goes after him and tries to reason with him. Cardo insists that he can take care of himself and Opeña scolds him and resolves to treat his wounds instead.
The major orders the police captain to wait for her while she goes to buy some medicine. In no time, Opeña returns with the needed supplies and she begins treating our favorite hero. Cardo actually asks to borrow some money from her, saying that all that fighting has made him hungry.
A moment later at an eatery, he orders a lot of food for the both of them and Opeña doesn’t pass up the chance to tease him about how getting beaten up had given him such an appetite. So Alyana continues with her search and soon runs into some scumbags who decide to harass her.
Lemuel comes to the rescue and chases off said scumbags after willingly taking a little beating. The creep actually plans to snatch Mrs. Dalisay from her husband. Speaking of, Cardo is reluctant to go home in his current condition so he asks Opeña to let him stay at her place overnight.
On the way, they discuss about Delfin’s case and Cardo notes the involvement of Hipolito and Lily. While Opeña brings Cardo to her house, the wife of Eduardo the accountant goes to the police station to report the tragedy that had fallen her and she ignorantly and lamely implicates our favorite hero.
The despicable Raymundo who’s sitting nearby gloats. After Cardo had insisted on sleeping in the living room over the guest room, Opeña brings him a shirt to change into. She then leaves for her room where she reflects on the encounters she had had with him. Opeña seems to be smiling for some reason.
Ironically, Cardo lies in the couch somberly and he also reflects on how he had saved President Hidalgo, as well as his falling out with him. And then his beloved grandpa’s disturbing situation. Delfin struggles to lie down on his bed with all the pain he’s feeling. He prays that Lily won’t be able to do anything else that could put his whole family in danger.
The next morning, Opeña wakes up Cardo and he checks her out in her nightie. He’s all smiles as the major leaves to prepare breakfast. At home, Letlet wakes up and asks her mother of her father’s whereabouts. Without words to say, Alyana silently consoles her.Read Next Episode on Brothers Episode 559
