Joyce Recovers While Kristine Loses Her Job. After Confronting Alejandra & Rigor, Ronaldo Decides To Turn Himself In To Pay For His Crime Against Joyce & Save Kristine.
The episode began with Rigor showing Alejandra the footage he had taken from the building. Lourdes begged Joyce to let her be the one to pay for whatever Joyce thought Ronaldo had done to her. Joyce however said that she wanted Ronaldo to be the one to pay for what he had done. Outside, Lesley confronted Jason for what Joyce was accusing Kristine of but Jason said he did not fight with girls.
He then removed a handkerchief from his pocket and put it in Lesley’s hands so that she could wipe away her tears with it, then left. Lourdes cried her eyes out but Imelda asked Noel to take her away because she was bothering Joyce. Ronaldo ran into Lawrence at the office and asked him why he had accused his sister.
Lawrence said he only said what he knew to be true. He added that Joyce had been hurt because he was not with her and he let her go on her own as he was left behind talking to Alejandra. Ronaldo was surprised to learn that Alejandra had been there but Lawrence left immediately after. Ronaldo went to see Alejandra and told her that he wanted her to tell him what she and Rigor had done to Joyce.
Alejandra feigned ignorance and said she did not know what Ronaldo was talking about. Rigor walked in and Ronaldo pinned him to the wall, demanding to know what he had done to Joyce. He offered to pay Rigor double what Alejandra had paid him to come clean but Rigor said he did not know anything about what had happened to Joyce.
Alejandra gloated by saying that loyalty could not be bought. Ronaldo had to leave and Alejandra breathed a sigh of relief. Kristine was dismissed from her job because of the case against her and she was told that she could resume her practice once the allegations against her had been dropped.
At the hospital, Noel returned to tell Joyce that maybe Kristine was absent but Lawrence arrived with the police and showed everyone the footage that showed Kristine picking up the wrench and threatening Joyce with it.
Noel still insisted that it did not show Kristine hitting Joyce. Imelda got her shouting tactics on and told Noel to go away because it was obvious he was siding with Kristine. Noel tried to reason with Joyce and Lawrence pushed him. Joyce then asked Noel to leave.
At home, Lourdes told Ronaldo that she had begged Joyce to let her be the one to pay for what Ronaldo had done but she had refused her offer and Ronaldo told her that she should not have begged because Kristine was innocent. Lourdes told Ronaldo that Joyce really wanted him to pay for what he had supposedly done to her.
Ronaldo was shocked to hear what Lourdes had said and therefore decided to go see Joyce. He waited until Joyce’s family left and went in to see her. He told her that he was there to make a deal with her to drop Kristine’s charges and in turn, he would agree to the allegations Joyce had accused him of.
Lawrence had gone to see Imelda, Jason and Shakira out and returned soon after to find Ronaldo negotiating with Joyce. Ronaldo did not know he was there and continued to tell Joyce that what had happened was an accident after Joyce had argued that her accusations were not allegations.
Ronaldo therefore told Joyce that he would turn himself in the next day, after which Joyce should drop her charges against Kristine. He turned to leave and saw Lawrence standing there in tears. The two did not speak and Ronaldo simply walked out of the room. Ronaldo did not return to Lourdes’ house but went to Alejandra’s place where he drank himself silly.
Alejandra found him drinking and he told her that he was coming clean about what he had done to Joyce so that Kristine would not go to jail. Alejandra tried to talk him out of it but Ronaldo calmed her down and told her that he would not involve her and Rigor and that he was going to take blame for everything, then he left.
A drunk Ronaldo then went to see Lourdes and Kristine where he confessed to them that everything Joyce had accused him of was true. The two gasped and broke into tears after realizing that they were the ones who had had to pay for Ronaldo’s crimes. Lourdes told him that she wished she had not let Ronaldo back in their lives, then told him to leave.
After hearing about what Ronaldo had asked of Joyce, Imelda talked to Joyce and told her that the two were separate crime, adding that even if Ronaldo would go to jail, Kristine would still be free and might hurt Joyce again. Joyce therefore did not drop Kristine’s charges. The police went and arrested Kristine and took her to see Joyce at the hospital for identification.
When the police walked Kristine into Joyce’s room, Kristine told her she knew what had happened and that Joyce should not let her pay for her father’s crime. Joyce told Kristine that she was not accusing her because of Ronaldo but because of what Kristine had done to her. She proceeded to say that Kristine was the one who had hurt her and Kristine was cuffed and taken away.
Alejandra caught up with Ronaldo and his lawyer before he went to the fiscal office to confess. He was still drunk and the lawyer tried to convince him that a drunk man’s statement would not be believed. Ronaldo’s lawyer received a call and we ended with him telling Ronaldo that Kristine had been arrested and Ronaldo realized that Joyce did not honour their deal.Read Next Episode on Beautiful Strangers Episode 24
