Joyce Bonds With Lawrence. Ronaldo Remains Determined To Atone For His Sins. Alejandra Makes A Scene. Kristine’s Resentment Remains.
Mike told Ronaldo that he had already sent invitations to everyone for the anniversary party except for Alejandra. Ronaldo asked him not to send her one. Lawrence arrived at Ronaldo’s office fuming and Mike left to give them privacy. Lawrence asked Ronaldo if it was true he was leaving his mother because of Kristine’s mother.
Ronaldo did not clarify anything but only told Lawrence that he thought he was okay with them splitting up. Lawrence told him he was okay if they separated but not so that Ronaldo could go start life with another woman. He said that it would humiliate him as well as his mother. Lawrence went to help Joyce with her office but he seemed distracted so Joyce asked him if anything was wrong.
Lawrence opened up to her about his father leaving his mother for another woman.Joyce showed Lawrence a way to vent out his frustration by splashing paint on the wall. Lawrence got really into it and by the time he was done venting, the wall was covered in patches of paint and the floor too.
He was better and even started teasing Joyce again. Joyce tried to get away from him but she ended up sliding on the paint right into Lawrence’s arms where they ended up ki$$ing. A delivery person arrived and made the two stop their make out session to give Joyce her invite to Ronaldo’s party.
Joyce was skeptical about going because of Kristine but Lawrence convinced her otherwise. In the meantime, Kristine was leaving the hospital and Noel approached her and tried to get her to talk to him. Kristine asked him to leave her alone but he insisted and ended up tripping her as he tried to help her with the things she was carrying.
Noel was shoved aside and was leaving as Kristine bent down to pick up her stuff. She was kneeling right at the back of a car that was pulling out of the parking lot and Noel turned back in time to see the car that Kristine was too upset to see. He went and pulled her aside and was the one who got bumped by the car instead.
Noel ended up taking Kristine home. He apologized to Lourdes for having cheated on Kristine and the two of them were back together. When Kristine’s invitation to the party arrived, Noel was her date. Lourdes refused to attend because of Alejandra. Shakira got clothes for Joyce, Imelda and Jason to go to the Castillo party and he refused to go saying he had a date.
When Joyce and her family arrived at the party, it was Lawrence who received them. She asked her family to go up as she went to freshen up but ended up bumping into Kristine and Noel. Ronaldo walked up to them thinking all was well but Kristine told him that Joyce was the reason she and Noel had split up. Joyce excused herself and Kristine was left telling her father that he did not need to help her.
Later, Ronaldo told Mike that he would still help Joyce because he had his own sins to atone for. Joyce went inside and told her family that they should leave because she had just ran into Kristine. Lawrence told her not to worry about her issues with Kristine because she was now part of the company and had a right to be at the party.
Alejandra arrived then although she had not been invited and she immediately went to disturb Kristine when she saw her there. She was determined to rattle Kristine by insulting Lourdes but Lawrence and Ronaldo went there and asked her not to cause a scene.
After a while, Alejandra left Kristine alone.
Kristine excused herself to go to the bathroom only to run into Joyce there. She attacked Joyce and was talking about how she wanted to steal Noel away when Alejandra too went to the bathroom and overheard the exchange. Alejandra told Kristine that it was her karma after her mother had tried to steal Ronaldo from her.
She then turned to Joyce and accused her of trying to be Ronaldo’s mistress, adding that she was a lunatic. Kristine and Joyce both left the bathroom without a word to Alejandra. Joyce went and told Lawrence that she had to leave because his mother had accused her of being Ronaldo’s mistress. Lawrence asked her not to pay attention to Alejandra but Joyce was determined to leave.
She went to tell Ronaldo that she was leaving but she saw the performers swirling around fire and she had one of her memory relapses while talking to Ronaldo. Ronaldo took her by the hand and guided her to a private room so that she could calm down. Kristine had watched their brief exchanged and followed them, Noel in tow.
Joyce had started feeling better and asked Ronaldo if he would take away his offer because of her problem with Kristine. Ronaldo said he wouldn’t and Joyce was so happy, she hugged him. That was when Kristine and Noel walked in. She accused Joyce of trying to take away Noel again and now she was trying to charm Lawrence and Ronaldo because she was upset!
Two ladies who had seen the altercation went to tell Alejandra and Alejandra asked Lawrence to take care of it. Imelda and Jason followed him. Imelda told Kristine off and asked her to stop harassing Joyce because she already had Noel. Kristine insisted that Joyce wanted to be her father’s mistress and Imelda told her that she had raised her daughter well.
Ronaldo also came to Joyce’s defence so Kristine left them and Noel followed her. Lawrence asked to drive Joyce and her family home. Imelda stayed behind to talk to Ronaldo and she thanked him for giving Joyce an opportunity. Ronaldo told her that if they needed anything else, all they had to do was ask. Kristine overheard the conversation since she had gone back to the room.
When Noel took Kristine home, she told Lourdes and Lesley about Joyce and wondered why Ronaldo still wanted to support Joyce after learning that they were no longer friends. She decided that Joyce really wanted to be Ronaldo’s mistress and she did not let Noel defend Joyce when he tried to. Ronaldo went to Kristine’s house and everyone came outside to see him.
