Rita Helps Out A Friend Victimized By Abuse. Tupe’s Friendly Dinner Date With Paulina Gets Interrupted By Rita’s Disappearance. Peterson Āssäults Rita Upon Her Return Home; Tupe Hurries To Her Rescue.
Tupe stares mesmerized at Paulina as she walks up to him. After recovering, he compliments her look and hands her a bouquet of flowers before ushering her to her seat. Paulina makes mention of how he’s put so much effort into their friendly dinner date. Rita has the taxi driver drop her off at the location and she borrows his phone and tries to call Peterson.
After being unable to reach him, she calls one of the bodyguards to notify him of her whereabouts. A moment later, Rita hurries into the house of her friend Melai to find her all battered and bruised. She expresses her disgust over the abuse and Melai pleads for her to take her away from the place.
Tupe’s friendly date with Paulina goes on somewhat smoothly until Paulina accidentally spills wine on him, wetting his phone in the process. Peterson isn’t the least bit happy to see a text message from Rita about how she had gone to see a friend of hers who needed help.
When the bodyguards return empty-handed, Peterson lashes out at them and warns them not to come back without his wife. In the meantime, Rita has Melai admitted at the hospital where her injuries are treated. She resolves to stay by her side until her mother comes for her.
Melai thanks her for everything and recounts how her husband had been abusing her for no good reason. This makes Rita recall some of Peterson’s outbursts and violent tendencies, and she realizes that they’re in the same boat. Rita consoles and counsels Melai on the matter and both women get pretty emotional.
When Olivia comes to know of Rita’s disappearance, she begins whining about how she might have gone to be with Tupe. This makes Peterson even more paranoid. Tupe tries to dry his phone and he makes a futile attempt to get it to work. He turns down Paulina’s offer to get him a new one, saying that he would just take it to repairs.
Olivia urges her son to call the people in Talisay to ask of his wife’s whereabouts. In no time, Peterson calls the captain and when he learns that Rita isn’t there and neither is Tupe, Olivia concludes that they must be together. Later, Peterson begins to boil with rage as he thinks and reflects on some incidents with Rita and Tupe.
Following his inability to reach Tupe on phone, Simon calls Paulina’s phone and when she hands the phone over to Tupe, he tells him of Peterson’s call earlier regarding Rita. Kiko went to Hannah’s place with his father. They were hoping to ask permission from Tupe for Kiko to court Hannah.
As they waited, Kiko’s father saw their family photo and was shocked. It turns out that he was one of the güñmen who had been hired to k!ll Tupe’s father. Rita stayed with her friend at the hospital until her family arrived. She returned home very late to find that her dear husband has gotten himself drunk.
Rita tried to explain what happened to Peterson but he did not pay any attention to her. He hit her and accused her of cheating on him with Tupe. Rita finally stood up to him and stated that she was tired of his abuse because she did not deserve it. She had tried to support him with the issues he was facing but he did not appreciate it.
The nanny heard them fighting and tried to stop Peterson but he hit her and knocked her out. Peterson continued to püñch Rita even as she began to bleed. He declared that she belonged to him and he would not let her go to Tupe. He tried to force himself on her but Rita kneed him in his miserable balls and ran off.
Tupe had cut short his friendly dinner with Paulina. He and Raymond were worried about Rita and as they tried to get inside the estate, they saw Rita running towards the gate. They were shocked to see her covered in blood. Tupe and Raymond rushed Rita to the hospital and she pleaded with them to help her save her baby.Read Next Episode on When Love Burns Episode 27
