Joyce & Noel’s Marriage Plans Go On Smoothly. An Unfortunate Misfortune Befalls Joyce; Her Family & Loved Ones Become Distressed When She Disappears.
Joyce took a walk with her father Levi who apologized to her for putting her in the position of taking responsibility for their family. Levi stated that he would take care of the family from then on so that Joyce could start her own family with Noel.
Joyce’s mother Imelda also apologized to her after her reaction earlier and they started getting along better. Noel and his father went to Joyce’s house to ask for her hand in marriage and both families were in agreement with the union.
Later, Joyce went to Noel’s house where he found him making a crib for their baby. They shared a memory about calling their baby Lea when they were kids and decided that it would be the name of their child.Joyce gave Noel a heart shaped paper as her surprise after Noel had surprised her with the crib.
Since she knew where Ronaldo Castillo would be, she gathered up her things to go see him and left after getting a blessing from her mother so that she could get the job. Meanwhile, Ronaldo had gone for his meeting and Alejandra had asked her driver Rigor to accompany him so that he did not go off doing something she didn’t approve off.
After the event, Ronaldo asked that a lady be sent to him, specifying that she had to be dressed in red. She then sent his staff home and said that he would wait a while. He told the gate keeper that if a lady arrived wearing a red dress, she was to be sent to him immediately.
Unfortunately for Joyce, she was dressed impeccably in red. She rode the bus to the appointed place and was immediately directed to Ronaldo Castillo by the guard when she arrived. Joyce walked into the house looking for Mr. Castillo who told her to go upstairs.
She went upstairs only to be āssäulted by Ronaldo. He launched himself on her but Joyce who was taken off guard tried to fight him off. Ronaldo was surprised too by her sudden resistance so he took a step back and tried to take things a little slowly.
Joyce still was not up for it so she tried to fight Ronaldo off and he retaliated by hitting her. Joyce started bleeding and got away from Ronaldo as she told him that he had k!lled her baby. Ronaldo was greatly alarmed and actually apologized, saying that he did not know.
Joyce tried to run away again but she tripped and fell down the stairs. She was unconscious by the time she hit the landing and Ronaldo thought he had k!lled her. He panicked and hurried outside to where Rigor, the driver was waiting. He was on the phone with Alejandra and she asked what was going on.
Rigor gave the phone to Ronaldo who told Alejandra what had happened. He was very uneasy so Alejandra asked him to give the phone back to Rigor. She then told Rigor to take care of the body. When Rigor got Joyce’s body, she was still unconscious but he noted that she was alive.
Alejandra told him to take care of it still so Rigor took Joyce out into the woods, poured diesel on her and lit her on fire. He then left her to burn. Joyce tried to get away from the heat; she rolled away and was able to put out the fire but she was unconscious.
At home, Noel and Joyce’s family were increasingly getting worried about her since Joyce had not yet returned. Imelda got a call from Joyce’s phone but it was the conductor from the bus Joyce had ridden who was calling to return the phone that Joyce had left.
Noel and Imelda went to the police to report Joyce missing but the police took their time getting on the case since she had not been missing for long. Later, the police went to Ronaldo Realty to investigate and the secretary told them that they had no interviews held the previous day and they did not hold them at the place they had been.
All this time, Ronaldo was dying inside from the guilt and even contemplated going to the police and turning himself in but Alejandra kept him in check and told him to get his act together. Later, Alejandra told him that she was going to run for public office which Ronaldo was against.
Alejandra’s mother arrived from Sydney and Lawrence picked her up. She shared that her husband had been k!lled before he was able to run for the presidential office. We saw little of Kristine when Ronaldo went to see her because of his guilt and Kristine told him that he was making up for his mistakes because she thought he was talking about her.
Kristine’s mother also went to see her at the hospital to bring her lunch and was able to pay for a trip that Kristine could not afford. Joyce was ultimately found by two boys in the woods and was soon taken to the hospital where her burns were treated.
